“I know, I know.” He replies while manually typing configurations into a computer terminal that’s fixated onto the construction cage which is holding the Minerva Pallas battle-armor.

“Are you sure you don’t want to oversee the operation?”

“That’s a waste of time. Precious time that I can use to fine-tune the Pallas further…”

“Right… About that unit…”

“It’s ideal. Trading an extensive arsenal for an immense performance buff, it’ll do.”

“Segregating most of the weaponry from the original unit is necessary for the Pallas’ integration system with the Carnage unit, sir.”

“The Carnage…”

He turns around and looks at what would seem to be a humongous, headless, humanoid assault unit with a coverless cockpit on its upper torso.

‘This armor unit… built originally for the first Minerva for the initial Academy assault plan…’

He gets up from his foldable stool and walks up to the Carnage, placing his hand on the lower legs of the kneeling unit.

‘Guess it’s all up to me and the Pallas to deliver the lesson…’

Not exactly, the "Carnage" is a direct reference to the Extreme Gundam's Carnage Phase armor unit: Magazine pic

Replace Extreme with the Minerva Pallas and color the Carnage armor crimson-black and you'll have a firm mental image of the "final boss" of the Athena series.

@'Senpai - Is it possible for someone to have ping pong naïveté? Irish seems to know how to use his appearance to distract male soldiers, but he's confused about the concept of attraction and romance, for example.

Side note - Kanzashi's weak as well. When Ichika picked her up, all she did was flail ineffectively at him.

I think it's really possible though, given that Irish only know superficial thing such as beauty appreciation, or sex appeal, rather than internal concept such as attraction and lust.

So she's not only weak but ALSO unskilled outside of I.S., man, that would've a new running Gag

Well, he definitely knows about lust. That's how he justifies liking Tatenashi: Human desire to have sex. He gets twitchy when anybody says otherwise.

Side note - Why? She's shown to be better than some of the pilots considering she used a unit she mostly made herself.

I mean like Ichika 'kidnap' or bearhug her outside I.S. effortlessly (we're talking about a guy who can lift and carry an I.S. unit to it's hangar, which in spite of PIC, the bulk requires at least four people to carry) and even weak-ass (relative speaking) Cecil overpower her, she's still an impressive pilot and as canon dictates, technician.

That's mostly it Since he's 14, he just says it's puberty effects. Besides, he was sent to be Loli bait in the past for a scientist who they needed info from. He doesn't like scientists in general after that.

Side note - Why would Ichika kidnap her? That has unfortunate implications.

Damn it, and I though everything about irish cannot be played for laughs. Pffftttt.

Well, Moe-loli archetype. You know, those older brother type that carries their rebelling little sister.

Kanzashi is the non-violent Tsundere type, and even if she trying to be violent, she's pretty much has normal physique compared to everyone in the main cast ensemble, even Cecilia has abnormal agility of sort, and Rin has both dexterity and speed (even though they have similar body size). Her violence on Ichika is futile and meaningless. (the effect of the slap is more psychological than physical)

It's not. The guy was humping him and Irish nearly bashed his face in till he spilled the info. Another reason why he hates his white hair (The scientist kept calling him a White Haired Angel). Still played for laughs?

That doesn't answer why Ichika's kidnapping her. By the way, she's not a Loli.

Well, Ichika prefer to do that rather than having pointless argument. Such as carrying her as high as possible, or just place her on his shoulder.

Of course, it was Tatenashi's idea to calm her down (she herself prefer to bearhug Kanzashi), it's almost alway worked.

Kanzashi is NOT a loli (She's normal in terms of body), but again, her moe-ness and tsundere, icy personality made her treated like one by Ichika & co. (Yeah, even Rin and Laura does not fit token Loli compared to her, due to their fanon personality)
