A guy taking a semester at a all girl school

Hi,

A undergrad friend of mine (who is male) just got an offer to study at a all girls college for one semester due to a school exchange thing between his uni and the ladies school in question. What are the pro/con of this?

Well, from what anime has taught me:

Pros - Create your own harem
Cons - Be treated like a pervert and beat up all the time

Also: "The outcome is unclear at this time"

Harem jokes aside, just how comfortable is he taking a gender studies' class as the one guy in the room?

If he imagines yes, well, why the hell not? At the very least he'll have a story to charm bar-goers for ages to come.

I'm taking a Civil Rights focused class that's 90% Black.

I don't think it'll be that big of a deal.

Sometimes anime stereotypes have some truth in real-life (read: almost never)

It might be awesome but remember that girls choose an all-girls school for a reason.

I figure parents are usually the reason why girls get sent to all-girls schools.

Murphy knows that everything can go wrong and it will.

Ok, I just found out the college is 2% male. I guess they improved since the last time I visited~

Edit: with a undergrad of 2.4K that would be about less than 40 guys.

Same. I'm pretty sure that school policies would prevent it, if nothing else out of fear of parents pulling their kids out of the school. As said above, it's an all girls' school for a reason.

Still seems rather fishy.

It is a college (no a all girls catholic high school). And it was actually an Boston Globe article on one of such guy's experience. Apparently you could go and will get your own room, but you can't stay for all 4 years (Just about one semester for whatever class you picked up).

Tossing aside the obvious jokes, serious talk.

I think if you were of a strong enough mind, it wouldn't exactly inhibit your ability to learn. It would sure as hell be an interesting experience.

Nonsense, she can live out her fantasy of being dressed like a dude and then being surrounded by ravishing assertive men.

Why? It would be like being a girl in engineering. And even better, the guys you interact with might actually have half decent social skills,

I remember a few years ago me and a friend of mine went on a road trip from California to Philadelphia. We were visiting a high school friend who was in her second year at an All Girls college. I thought it would be awesome. I was certain there would be plenty of cute girls.

I was so disappointed when I got there. Then of course I realized that a lot of "lookers" probably wouldn't be attending an all girls school.

Anyways, I saw some guys enrolled there. Didn't seem to be a big deal. While I was staying at my friend's dorm, I remember going down the hall to take a shower and passed some girls. No one really cared. It wasn't even a surprise.

There's a guy I know on another forum who did an exchange year in Japan at what used to be an all-girls school, which was still 80% female. But he somehow failed to get any action despite one of the questions on the first day being "do you have a girlfriend?".
