Liverpool thrash Derby 6-0, even without Gerrard and Carragher, who were out injured.

They go top of the table for at least 24 hours, as Chelsea and Man City may overtake them tomorrow.

It's been nearly 5 years since Liverpool last occupied the top spot in the Premier League. But last time around, Gerard Houllier could not keep the momentum and Liverpool went into a period of darkness, indirectly causing Houllier's departure and Benitez's arrival. This time Benitez will make sure not to repeat Houllier's mistakes, and he probably won't, not with everyone in top form.

Lassana is an interesting player but he can play central midfield and on the right wing so it doesn´t really feel logical since those are positions that Arsenal have pretty good cover on. This really feels like a "luxury purchase" from Wenger, but I don´t want to complain. It´s not often Wenger makes this kind of signing actually.

The other team in Uefa from your country is playing with a team from my country.

If Chelsea thinks they can get away with the refs helping them all the time, they're sorely mistaken. What goes around, comes around, Mr Morinho. Great win for Villa. This means Liverpool deservedly sits top for the next two weeks at least.

Ah, it's been ages since I've ever experienced being on top. Still must not get too complacent, there's 34 games to go, but I won't deny that it still feels great.

I got lucky too, since Giggs didnt play, and Villa won against Chelsea.. weird >.< cause I remove Mellberg from the lineup since I didnt expect team to cleansheet >.<. But the biggest mistake I've made was replacing Yakubu with Mido ... My housemate gave me a good laughing for that =.=. I still dunno if I should switch my captaincy to Fabregas or stick with Anelka... both on form >.<

But damn the highest team score was 111.

I know what you mean, I have Mellberg on my bench and I removed Fabregas from the team so that I could get that last attacker (Forssell) and I kept Reina in the bench in favor of Cech.
