The first instance or first time anything happened.

This could just be another arc, just an uncommon one.

Just reminder, from what I read in Outbreak novel:
The time in Kaku starts from June 27th, and last day is July 7th.

Part of that is their rather infamous (and highly censored) adaptation of Umineko. It was so bad that the DVD sales were less than 600 copies. As a result, Chiru (the 5th-8th novels) will not see an anime adaptation. It got licensed for a US sub (no dub) last year by Nippon Ichi. The sub removes the censorship in all its gory detail.

On a small side note, the Umineko anime was voted "Worst Anime of 2009" by 2chan.

Found out that in Minagoroshi-hen,
Spoiler for spoilers for the 7th novel.:
. From that, I can propose an alternate blue truth regarding Kaku, explain certain things regarding
Spoiler for possible spoiler for kaku.:
and give an explanation for the time line mentioned. Keep in mind that I don't have the novel, so my guess is as good as anyone's right now.

Spoiler for possible spoiler for kaku if theory is correct and for the 7th novel:

No offence, but stop using Red and Blue for Higurashi. It just feels forced. First of all, the definition of Umineko's mystery does not even apply to Higurashi. They are different stories, Umineko's logic does not work with Higurashi sometimes. Dunno it just looks to me me that 'Blue and Red are cool and I will use them on every fiction.' Sorry that I sound like a total jackass lol.

Studio DEEN were criticised a lot for censoring the gore, but in fact, it had nothing to do with them. Instead, it was the TV network that added the censorship. Which is why in all subsequent releases, there is no censorship. There's also no fixing of animation errors though, which is another criticism.

No problem. I don't really see it as forced as much as something fun to do since red and blue truth are a part of When They Cry and the use of them is entertaining in relevant debates and theory development.

I've always interpreted Higurashi as a hybrid horror/mystery and suspect that the series is more compliant to the rules of the mystery genre than one would think. Depending on which side one takes in how Knox's 2nd is interpreted (existance vs involvement in the crime)
Spoiler for spoiler for 8th novel:
.

The big point of contention regarding compliance,

might arguably be allowed under Knox's 4th. Since

it isn't a drug or unknown poison. As for the other aspect of Knox's 4th relating to excessive complexity, after piecing together all the deaths in the series and all the progressions into madness, I came to the conclusion that

. It's actually quite interesting if you want to know more.

Errrr, Studio DEEN made some excellent shows back in the day and still makes some decent stuff. Their reputation is undeserved IMO.

the reputation is deserved and it comes form teh tiem when they were too ambitious and made too many series so the quality dropped, deen is a great studio provided they only work on a small number of series.

When is this releasing? Trailer seems to say 7th of something. Also is it direct to DVD or will it air in theatre/TV at that date?

The text from the video is saying Ryukishi07 so there's no date out yet. I too am wondering how it's going to be released though.
