For those who are fans of the game, HERE is a remix of the "Fighting of the Spirit" theme. Quite good. The page belongs to a group who makes remixes of various game themes. It's Japanese, by the way. I think I read somewhere that they have (or will) release a CD too.

It's MP3, but ZIP compressed for some reason.

Oh, and there's a bunch of other remixed MP3s there too, if you can understand the Japanese titles that a lot of them have. You could use a web page translator like Excite. Enter the http://www.ssh.ne.jp address into the box that says URL, shift the green dot from 英→日 to 日→英, then press the large button on the right.

I heard that the first episode was going to air in january I dont know if this is correct but I really hope animesuki will have it when the ova is subbed because tales of phantasia rocks

Okay. guys. PAY ATTENTION TO THIS POST SO YOU DONT KEEP ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER. AUUUUUGH.

1) The Tales of Phatasia OAV trailer has aired. It's a bit over 2 minutes and has no talking, just japanese credits, and some random scenes from it with music playing in the background.

2) There is no official site yet.

3) AnimeNation translated the Japanese site that announced this OAV wrong. What's airing from Dec.22nd - Jan.9th on Japanese PPV is the TRAILER. NOT episode 1.

hee dragosmore do you know the release date of tales? and thanks for the info I was wondering what they mend by 22 dec - 9 jan. And I already saw the trealer it was awsome but stil I think the animation in the intro of the psx version was prettyer GOTTA WACH THIS OVA

From what I understand, Tales of Phantasia won’t be airing on TV ever, and the OVA is going directly to DVD. I just hope some good fansubers pick it up, but I’m not really worried, seeing as how many people in this interest category already know of Tales of Phantasia as a game.

Sorry to rivive an old post, but actually I was able to download the opening and ending of the Tales of Phantasia anime from a different site, ( it looks REALLY good btw ) but I can't find the actual anime anywhere?

Any clues anyone? I'm almost pissing in my pants with excitement

Are you sure these weren't from the game? The game op/ed was just recently subbed.

yeah, thats what I was talking about, the op and ed subbed by a.f.k. and sunshine rainbows...

Tales of Phantasia is a kickass Super Nintendo rpg game. I loved that game. The battle system was really cool. I highly recommend it.

It was ported to the playstation a while back in Japan, I believe they took that chance to add voices and enhance the game in other ways.

I have it here, but until I get my ps2 back from my friend I can't play it.

Apparently it and Tales of Symphonia (which rocks) are connected (Symphonia is sort of a distant preqel to Phantasia.)

geez i was praying that they would port tales of phantasia here a couple of years ago.

I'm actually glad they didnt seeing what they did to tales of eternia and tales of destiny.

i do what them to port destiny 2 (the real one) and still phantasia (i'm a confusing guy cant ya tell)

btw the playstation version is awesome

I just saw here that there is a Tales of Phantasia anime listed for 2004

Which kinda wonders me since the game for the Snes it's based on (and which absolutely rocked btw) is from '95 iirc. Does anyone have more info about it?
It would be really great if there would be a ToP anime

Maybe this is good in combination with merchandising ToS (Tales of Symphonia) which is the brand new successor of ToP. Same with Ragnarök Online and other games....

Ya, I heard about the ToP anime being made.

From what I've heard, I've heard everywhere from sometime Spring to sometime this Winter for release.

It's also announced that a Tales of Symphonia anime series is in the works last week on ANN.

OMG... i played/beat this game on the ZSNES EMULATOR, and tales of phantasy had just came out on a rom. I must say, this game was the best. A fightying stlye/RPG game that i have never played, and the story line, and char. devlopment was the best. Overall i REALLY liked this game. I strongly suggest ALL of u to play this game
