Throwing in a brief desc of the revamped Minerva:

The Minerva-RE is a non-Infinite Stratos (IS) unit. It is a general-purpose powered battle-armor built by the renegade organization Praxidike for anti-terrorism scenarios. Being the first and possibly the only one of its kind, the Minerva-RE is built in a way unlike any other humanoid armor unit, including the ISes.

The Minerva-RE, unlike the IS, doesn’t sport a single central power core that manages the entirety of the unit. Instead, a network of miniature nuclear reactors are built into various parts of the unit allowing swift power supply to multiple parts of the battle-armor simultaneously. These reactors generate power in the presence of charged particles or ions, causing the unit to expel bright particles out of its exhausts and thrusters instead of flame jets.

A single limiter system is imposed on all the built-in reactors to control its power generation rate, allowing maximum possible energy generation without posing any threat of overloading or risks of breaching the unit’s armor integrity.

Being a class of its own, the Minerva-RE’s processor core and power supply are set as separate modules for better, specialized management of the unit’s various applications.

Due to technological challenges, the Minerva-RE is limited to in-built weaponry:
- Twin particle beam guns on the tip of each of its forelimbs. Boasting the efficiency of hi-speed focused particle projectors, these guns are able fire particle beams in rapid succession.
- Two beam sabers, one attached to rotating sheaths on each side of the unit’s waist. The beam sabers generate blade-shaped barriers from its hilts which are then filled with searing charged particles, propelled in a loop at very fast speeds using energy recyclers and particle accelerators.

Unlike an IS, the Minerva-RE does not have a Closed Form. Instead, its armor parts are mounted onto the pilot himself.

Other features:
- An overclock feature which disables the limiter system on the reactors. At the expense of various risks of breach and overload, the nuclear reactors intake hefty amounts of ions and generates even more power at a faster rate. When active, the reactors also generate immense levels of heat which is then expelled as trailing afterimages, confusing enemy targeting systems.

Aww, what else Saito need than his mom realize her fault and bethroted to a loyal would-be wife?

This is why I said WITHOUT extensive character development, I.S. cast are flawed parents. not the worst parent around but can result in the worst mistake possible. Saito route is, probably the worst excluding the clone route, which from the draft you post, is actually overlapping. However, since they are good person at hear, those damage, while permanent, doesn't mean they'll shatter completely into useless pieces of themselves, but into something else.

Stratosphere inspired me to start working on IS again (while not working on Nanoha) .

I am too tired to figure weather to use male or female character so.....

Spoiler for Main Character....of another story along with Shion:

Experimental Drone (Non-IS) designed specifically to be more intelligent than other ...gone horribly right and rouge.

Super Prototype/Custom Ace(Modified from a normal Drone Frame, hence having same stats and weapons that other drone possess)

In order to please their customer's complain of their military drone being too stupid and need a pilot behind drone to remotely controlling them, a military company decide to take it one step further.

An intelligent self-reliance Robot capable of planning when given an order. Also to further make it more self-reliant, it is capable of continuous self-upgrading and repairing...so long as its processor is still running.

Creator is a mad-scientist type who have no moral ethnic and doesn't care what his invention does... he just want to test the limit of science....
He experimented on Orphans(nobody really care about) to create an Sentient self-aware AI just for the heck of it.

No human form for Drone because creator is not as good as Tabane....

Ex-Drone begins with mass weapons just like other drone but move towards beam weapons as its counterparts does the same.
(Edit: Read: something like Auto-cannon, Anti-aircraft...etc)

Limited energy shield technology reversed engineered from IS... means paper-thin defense and Drones rely on either large number, heavy armor or just plain agility to avoid destruction.

Ex-drone's rival....is a human ace pilot controlling a Custom Ace/experimental Drone similar to it.

One generator, One backup energy enough for Drone to perform self-repair if generator is down, One energy reserve for the processor.

Probably a title of: Is this a Drone?

Man Vs Machine... Heh, guess I played too much TF2. Then again, the idea of an intellligent drone capable of self-repairing points me EDI from Stealth.

Then again, poor ball dude was a jet. This here looks like the Ace and the Drone are competing in a tech race. Nice to know that my techbabble inspired ya

“Now that you mentioned it… Those things do share some of the Minerva’s design.”

“Well… ‘some’ is a bit of an understatement there, Jinrai-san. Except for the head and arms, everything else looks almost identical.”

“Seems like it.”

Jinrai examines the Minerva’s schematics on his laptop, comparing it to a picture of the Jabber drones where he notices similarities in both units’ designs. He zooms in on various parts of the Jabber while Inami looks over to the Minerva, held in a construction cage and attached to a power generator.

Lying next to the cage on top on the floor are a few damaged parts from the battle armor that has been replaced with new, spare ones. Amongst the pile are the forelimbs and half of the chest plate that are littered with blast marks caused by particle beam fire.

“Say… Jinrai-san.” Asks Inami as he taps Jinrai’s shoulder.

“Yeah?”

“About the Minerva… What exactly was this combat performance data that you downloaded?”

“Ah, right. That data are actually record logs of the Minerva’s performance. During sorties, the system records everything; wind speed, frame integrity, barrier power and whatnot.”

“Thing is, you’re making seven copies of them. Are you sure this laptop can hold that much data?”

“Dude, you’re talking to a tech specialist. Of course it can hold!”

The Drone IS IN an Arm-race with the organization (and by extension, its sibling units).

It is fighting against the Ace pilot in Man versus machine style (Pilot appear to have new-type/X-rounder ability because he is human...and predict its combat pattern).

To be fair, I think EDI from Stealth is actually not a bad person but being forced into the situation because it tried to utilize what it learned from the wrong pilot....

Thank to you, I think I got something.... The Ace pilot is the one who inspired the unit to go rouge with his "Screw the Rule, I am right attitude."

Just finished Robot Alchemic Drive (It's a decade old but whatever), somewhat dark and lots of stuff are deconstructed, but ended up with optimistic tone. it gave me clue how to end the apocalyptic robot war story
