Differences between K-drama and J-drama
Hi, it's been awhile since I have made the thread and here I have been wondering the difference between Korean drama and Japanese drama. I have been studying Japanese for pretty long now about 3-4 years, and I read that watching Japanese drama helps you get better at listening Japanese conversation. I have been curious about it and seriously considered watching it. However not knowing much about it, I didn't watch any yet. Since I was younger, I've been exposed to Korean Drama, and still do watch and hear bits and pieces on a daily basis. My first impression of it was too melodramatic, too much screaming and too much crying. That was how I felt years ago but even now nothing seems too different.
I want to ask is the difference subtle or there's no difference whatsoever? If I look under certain articles, there are some recommendations here and there with interesting synopsis that interest me.

J-drama: all at school, lots of melodramatic speeches about values.
K-drama: young adults, normal girl gets seduced by handsome, arrogant heir to a corporation. Contrived circumstances brings them together. |

This might as well sum up the difference:
