My controversial opinion is that people can't accept a work of fiction showing destruction at the moment. I find it exxagerated, but that's how it goes.

i tend to agree on this. the studio might not be really experiencing technical problems but "emotional/sensitivity" dilemma. the end might be apocalyptic and hopeless and could be a potential source of criticism especially from the government...

What is it with the last two episodes of SHAFT shows not making air?

I don't mind waiting, but I feel bad for them since they had such great momentum coming out of episode 10. I'm not going to hold my breath, but I'll keep checking back for updates. At least the animation quality should be solid by the time we see it.

Where's this info on the official site? I put the most recent newspost through GoogleTranslate, but all it mentions seems to concern some Showtime site (another online rebroadcast?).

Shit. Why did this have to happen to my favorite anime of the season?

There are a couple other series this season I wouldn't have cared seeing canceled.

Now, we can only hope they'll stream those episodes soon.

Wiki has a summary on the new BD schedule, and indefinite suspension of all broadcasts.

No, the streaming is also canned. They had separate news posts for broadcast and streaming. Everything is canned.

You'll note one thing: No one involved in the production of the show has said that the animation is completed and they're just waiting on the stations to air it.
In short, the episodes still aren't in a completed condition yet.

It's for this reason why I'm a bit skeptic towards these announcements and think it's just SHAFT up to their old antics again. it would make sense, as I see no reason why they can't be aired, given that all other shows are, have or will be aired and they also canceled their streaming.

Still, if Mother Nature wouldn't have thrown her temper tantrum, it might not have come this far. But, I guess we can't do much about that.

I wonder if this will mess up the MariaHolic 2 broadcasts as well.

Official TV airing is not something mere studio can delay or not. Of course, their usual 'shaftness' might be an issue, but it is simply wrong to adjust airing whatever they want. There is definitely something with the broadcasters.

April huh. Well look at the bright side guys... at least it's not like Bakemonogatari long. :P

With a month worth of delay at least I don't think it can possibly end up like Nadeko Snake.
