Would someone be able to install MoveableType on my webspace? >.<

I know this is very risky, but I am desperate.
I have tried 4 times, and each time I encounter a new problem.
It's nothing to do with the requirements I don't think...

well incase you don't know what I'm talking about:
http://www.movabletype.org/
that's moveabletype, a blog.

What I was wondering, is if someone could install this for me?
I would be willing to set up a pass/user and ftp for this person,
and give them almost full control.

So if someone a little more advanced or has done a moveabletype installation in the past could contact me, I would be very happy and it would be muchly appreciated.

Well here are my tips which could help you:

-make sure u have correct permission, if nothing work use 777 (which is NOT recommended....use it as last resort). Most FTP clients support chmod setting
-Make sure u run make cgi scripts executable and u run them from cgi-bin path
-cgi scripts should be aware of where perl is (if they're perl scripts, which in your case they are) so make sure u have correct path to perl in first line of every cgi script

If you have problems just port here and we might help you...rather then do it for you since that way u can't learn.

As for the perl path, my cpanel says /users/etc...
but the one in the file says #!/users/etc...
would this make any difference?
And also, I have to upload the cgi's to the cgi-bin?

Got an error: Can't locate HTML/Template.pm in @INC (@INC contains: ./extlib ./lib /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.1/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at lib/MT/App.pm line 300.
when I run the mt.cgi

This should be moved to the tech forum.

Also for fun and educational purposes you should read why Movable Type
must die.

when I run the mt.cgi
it needs HTML/Template.pm, if you don't have ssh access or don't know how to use it ask the administrator to add it. If you do have ssh access, do
Code:
perl -MCPAN -e 'install HTML::Template'
But! I think this only installs to prefix /usr so...
you could always do:
Code:
 cpan
 make install HTML::Template
and that should go for $HOME as prefix.
as a side not, if either of these starts asking a bunch of questions just press enter untill you get to spots asking for countries and mirrors, after that start jamming enter agian.
