Human can became youkai. We did see examples. Rikuo just do NOT want became full-blooded youkai. Also if group centers on commander being stronger than any of them it will fail sooner or later - and actually it failed already with all that deserters and schemers in Nura clan ranks. And they would strike even powerful youkai in the back if they see chance. And most of ones that stayed loyal do NOT care about power, though appreciate powerful leader.

The art is really becoming more and more amazing

I agree, I am not sure if its the quality of the scans but I have never seen such an improvement in art in 75 chapters of a weekly manga. I mean sure you look at something like Bleach, or Naruto where the author has been at it for the better part of the decade there is a noticeable improvement, but this fast is impressive.

Read things like kinnikuman, Oh my goddess, or, says, Doraemon Of course, the most drastic changes can always be observed at the beginning of the manga, after a while the arts tend to become very stable.

I do like how some of the drawings in this manga are more reminiscent of Summi style paintings than standard shonen manga style. I know some people don't like it but it stands out even more to even with it.

Only thing I don't like about the art... is how they drew his hair. I know its to cover the long brain, but it still look so weird.

Well, it looks like, this manga is starting to get really interesting. And the mysteries around Rikuo are starting to pile up.

Well I'm talking about chapter 85 and 86.

Spoiler for RAW 85-86:

From the look of things it looks like Rikuo's night form is becoming really badass. But what has got me wondering is that in chapter 86 it is shown that it's day, but Rikuo seems fine. I mean he was able to stay in his youkai form, despite it being daylight. And well on the last page Rikuo really looks like he is going to kick someone's ass. ( I think that Gitsune would better start getting ready for a little "spanking" session with Rikuo if you get my drift.)
Seriously I think this is the first opponent who Rikuo faces one on one. I don't think that Tamazuki or Inugami count, becuase Rikuo was assisted by his subordinates in those fights

I think so. The ending is kind of predictable though. Can't have our main lead struggling against a small fry now, else how can he square off with the major villain?

I didn't pick up that bit with Rikuo staying as Youkai in daylight. Still, we can expect him to go around doing some "spying" in his human form. After all, the school club is in Kyoto!

I'm getting a bit annoyed with all this hype on Rikuo's ultimate move, the illusion of himself. So it's just a move to create illusions that provide an opportunity for him to move in for the kill. Meaning if his opponent sees through his illusion, he's dead meat?

I wonder why shes so popular, considering how much of a fat, heart-eatting slob, she was in the grandpa arc. Sure, her new form looks pretty nice but it doesn't that doesn't explain her at #4 The new form appeared like in 5-10 pages at most.
