In what might turn out to be an interesting test of First Amendment versus "think of the children" in the US ... a Florida prosecutor who's made a name as a "crusader for the children" (o.O) has charged a Colorado author who wrote a book on how-to pedophillia with obscenity and is trying to get him extradited to Florida. Colorado has arrested him in response to the demand... but there's no equivalent law in Colorado and its questionable that writing books can be a crime. (The book is the one that caused a flack on Amazon a couple of weeks ago).

Look for this one to be entertaining screeching, shouting, and possibly some discussion on "free expression" possibly up to the Supreme Court.

The comments are interesting because the HuffPo crowd is supposedly hyper-liberal but all the comments are "burn him, he's a witch!" motif.
The quotes from the prosecutor are flame fodder for anyone who argues the First Amendment side of a debate.

Oddly enough, theobromine was mentioned in the fact thread yesterday. But if scientists pull this off, then it will be the best invention since sliced bread.

Lol you could just eat chocolate and be done with it. To me this sounds like some other strategy by the pharmaceutical industry to make more money off of people.

Of course, but then again, depends how much of a concentration of the theobromine is required to be effective.

Plus chocolate would only make me fatter.

If you get proper exercise every day and you have a regulated amount, it can actually be good for you for more than just the regular cough.

Actual powdered cocoa wouldn't. It's a very healthy food. Antioxidants, heart-healthy fats in small doses, theobromine as you mention as well anandamide which puts you in a good mood.

That is why none of the youths here wanted to be a politician or lawmaker. You can't roll a dice or give a half-fuck when you are one, unlike a normal citizen.

Singapore. It's so stable, people rather'd make some serious dough in medicine or law rather than take a "pay cut" in politics.

I mean, Singapore MPs get a 6-figure annual sum, but in medicine/business/law, you get 7. It's the money, stoopid.

Meanwhile, where I was born, at least one minister has been known for traveling regularly on taxpayer money for leisure.

Which is where I'm flying to in a few hours. It's actually SNOWING in Melbourne - not right, innit!?
