hehe. i get all my AV/Sigs pre-approved... well. most of them anyway.

i was thinking of finding more/chaning this one. but finals/SAT II call.

With respect to people who "enjoy" putting naked or practically naked women on their avatars and signatures, I don't really think it's appropriate. As a female, I absolutely hate it when women are used as objects for sex and I guess you can say that anime in some senses can also do the same...

I am not intending to start a flame or anything, and I don't mean to offend anyone on this forum, but I think their should be a limit to how much of this is on the site, especially seeing that there are also young members.

I would like to suggest that if anyone objects to a sig or an avatar, then please PM me (xris) and let me know about it (giving the reason why).

While I can't guarantee that I will remove every 'dodgy' sig or av, I will certainly consider any objection put forward and I will remove those I also think are unsuitable. It can be a very subjective as to what is or isn't objectionable and what should be 'allowed'. Everyone I'm sure will have different opinions and limits so it's not even possible to suggest any real guidelines except to say that an av or sig should be reasonable.

It's impossible for the Mods to check every image used in the forum, so please inform us if there is something you find objectionable. A different sort of example is if we take hobobaggins current sig (which I find just about acceptable), if I did receive a number of complaints about it (so far that hasn't happened), then I would consider requesting him to replace it.

Seriously though ... at which point did you decide to become a huge fan of sexy-no-jutsu (a jutsu where Naruto becomes a sex object in order to seduce his way into an easy vitory against perverts and other men) and then complain about 'men' finding the same amusing via their sigs. you = taken seriously no more.

Its very subjective, and the mods have the final word IMO, thats why I prefer to PM xris, since he is the most conservative one, form what I've seen...

I can't give you an answer for this because it depends. If one person has an objection against an av or sig, that might be enough for me to remove it (and that one person may just be me). If I decide the image isn't to risque (and leave it), then it may take several additional requests from different people. Each time I receive a complaint then I'll reconsider based on the subject and the number of people who thought it may cause issues. It's all very subjective after all, and it will come down to the personal opinion of a Mod if it should be removed.

But let's be honest here, I don't think there really is a problem with the vast majority of sigs and avs. Most of the AnimeSuki members do take some responsibility and apply some thought to the images and most of the time it isn't a problem. There have been a couple of cases where people "push out the boat" to see how far they can get and my response to that is to award short holidays (i.e. bans) to the deserving person.

As to one member's vote having power over another, I'm not sure if I understood the question but I would simply say that I would tend to listen to complaints primarily and apply a judgement call. And I would recommend use of PMs to inform me (or another Mod) if you do wish to point out a possible inappropriate image, I don't really want to see threads springing up to discuss the suitability of what is or isn't appropriate.

This topic actually is something that affects me. I am only 13 (therefore a younger visiter on the AS forums), and i do not like the ecchi sigs and avs. they bother me. but since i am not one to complain, i kinda just skip over them. i don't want to turn the avs and sigs totally off, because some people on these forums actually have very nice and non-ecchi sigs/avs. i also don't want to ignore all the people with the ecchi sigs/avs, you guys have valuable posts too. therefore the dilemma. i share a room with my sis and sometimes i will surf the web with my bro. although they are older, they would probably tell my mum that im looking at innapropriate things and my mum will ban me from looking at these forums (even though most of it isn't mature stuff). my mum would probably tell me to stop d-loading anime too. a very bad thing for me.

so i am pleading all you ecchi-lovers, please consider the younger readers of the forum. please keep it somewhat clean and if it isn't, can you put it in a spoiler tag? dang, after writing this, i sound like a whiny kid. im sorry, but im actually being serious and speaking in a serious manner.
