For those of you not in the know, Animetal is a band that does metal covers anime songs (OPs, EDs, character songs, inserts, etc.)

Or are they?

Currently on youtube, there are metal versions of anime songs that people claim are made by animetal. The problem is, I can't find those songs on ANY of their CDs. Either they're REALLY late for their next album, or they simply didn't do the covers AT ALL.

For starters, I'll post the metal covers of 鳥の詩 and 恋のミクル伝説, as well as what seems to be a non-stop mix of metal covers of anime songs (Metallic Anthem).

The last 2 videos use footage from X JAPAN's last concert back on New Year's Eve 1997 before their first breakup. Very high-quality hackjobs if you ask me.

The main problem is, I can't find ANY proof that Animetal did the songs played in the last 2 vids. All I know for sure is that the metallic anthem mix contains some covers that Animetal actually did.

Any help would be appreciated.

Some of their stuff is quite good. What is confounding me are the songs in those videos I posted. Are those REALLY Animetal covers?

Thumbs up seriously, I can't answer your question but the Anthem was quite good.
Starting up with FF and "You" just stole me away, and I knew pretty much all the songs they played so it makes it more enjoyable, brings back memories.
