Aaaahh, that shot of Victorique is so good. I really need to think of more things to say than just saying how much I like the chara designs every single time. de Blois's stupid drill hair is as stupid as ever XD.

Oh thanks so much for the scan. Wow, I must say this must be the first scan I see where I ended up liking Victorique's anime design more than Kazuya

I didn't think there'd be anyone who would find his drill pompadour epic lol, can't wait to see the general reaction when it graces the screen. Bet his shark fin will be the first thing the anime shows of him, right? X3

The recent scans are a lot more loyal to Takeda Hinata's illustrations and original character designs. Which is fantastic, as they're some of the most intricate illustrations I've seen. Any idea on who illustrated these specific scans?

Yes! I'm very very excited about this. I read a couple of the light novels and the manga, and they were very good. Plus, Bones is animating it. Now, let's just hope there isn't much adaption decay...

I don't know... Whenever I see Victorique, I can't unsee that she's somehow the lovechild of Suigintou and Shinku She really is calming to the eyes... Might change avatars/signature once this anime airs.

I love these cover illustrations. Very different approaches, but both have a tremendous amount of detail. In fact I'm a little worried because of it. Can the anime possibly look as good as those illustrations suggest? Of course there is nothing to do but worry until the first episode comes out.

Yeah, it's almost scary how great the original art is. Of course, if you had to pick one studio to try and do it justice you could do a lot worse than BONES.

I agree with you 100%! I was kinda afraid that Bee Train would get to animate this. So glad I was wrong!

The series will start airing on TV Tokyo on 7th Jan 2011, at 25:23. In non-wacky time, that would be 8th Jan 2011 at 1:23 AM.

Damn, Miyuki Sawashiro ended up as Cordelia instead. I was so sure she'd be Victorique XD. But man, not only is Kazuya's VA not Miyu Irino, but he's being played by Takuya Eguchi, whose resume includes... Ohsugi from Eden of the East, someone from Bantorra, a clerk in K-ON! and Boy A in MM!...

... right, I'll reserve judgement and have some faith that there was a reason he was casted in that role. I hope he surprises me since what little I've heard of him does not stick in my mind at all.
