Well, I suppose you've got to have a PS3 to get it. Currently several millions of users worldwide cannot use their console for any sort of gaming... only very, very few games seem to still work.

The PS3 'fats' have run into a timebomb like Y2K style bug. The system thinks it's the 29th of Feb 1999 and bamboozled the OS. Right now millions of PS3s are just oversized media players since no game will function anymore. Mine is in the same state, it just has errors and crashes.

I suppose the OS is undergoing something like this:

Wow, kinda makes me glad I haven't bought a PS3 yet ... 600$ down the drain and into the garbage disposal.

Oh wow you serious? o_O So all PS3s stopped working today? Are you sure it's not fixable? My housemates have one and I suppose they haven't turned it on yet because I haven't heard any complaints lol

Yea, but only the 'Fat' models... some of the very newest fat models may be unaffected though, but we're still talking millions of units.
