Got my copy of Tatarigoroshi 2 today.
As far as the official translation goes: -Irie's nickname was changed to 'kantoku' after being 'director' in Onikakushi and 'coach' in Tatarigoroshi 6. -Keiichi's '1,500 seconds' monologue is written in columns going across the two pages. -Translation notes are written at the end of the chapters instead of at the end of the book like they'd been before now. -Teppei says 'Eek' and 'Eep' when screaming.

I just got the new english Tatarigoroshi volume, and it was incredible! The entire thing was a total mind-****. I'm begining to see why the people who played the VN disliked the anime, they left out so much!
By the way, does anyone have a transcript of K1's monologue? Trying to read all those words top-to-bottom gives me a headache. Thanks! |

Translation of Tatarigoroshi-hen was more off then I thought, either that or the english one added more. In translation they have it as rika would after satoko left become a ward of Kimiyoshi's which made no sense. Now with english version in my hands this version sounds better.
Here a snippet from english version out now chapter 6,PG:31 top right panel: (keiichi) ...come to think of it... Rika-chan..how are you getting by? you said that after your parents died, you live in a detached building of the shrine with Satoko left top panel [mion] The village chief Kimiyoshi-ojiichan is Rika-chan's guardian. It is official; he even has the perfectural governor's approval. She is not foster child that they put on the family register.. but by-law Rika-chan is living at village chief's house.

Yoigoshi-hen Blah, am I the only one that did not like that chapter, rather see Onisarashi-hen!
Well hope it is selling well, last volume was great and better then the translation that was too, since there was many errors, unless the english actually added stuff...

Yoigoshi-hen is technically a question arc since it's a "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" title rather than "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai," complete with a black-style cover rather than the white used for Kai arcs.
I personally find Yoigoshi-hen to be a very interesting side-story. And in a way I can see it being a nice fit between Himatsubushi and Meakashi... Spoiler for Yoigoshi Ending:

Meakashi-hen, chapter 6.
If Yoigoshi-hen, I'm not suprised. Since it comes from Gangan Comic... But Onisarashi-hen is from other publisher, right?
