I hope they do something on William Faulkner ...

Even better, I hope they make a full-fledged series on The Sound and the Fury!

Well this is different. It's like Wallace and Gromit without much facial expressions. I'm in. Hope someone subs it.

I am stuck with the predisposition from the "Dunwich Building" in Fallout 3 when it comes to visualizing how something like that would play itself out. Damn Bethesda and post-apocalyptic survival game.

Wow! Lovecraft!

I don't believe I have come across an anime with Lovecraftian or Chtuluic influences.
This would perhaps turn a new leaf in the horror genre, since in my opinion so much horror anime does not really horrify.

I hope this gets subbed and popular as well.

P.S. I do not consider tentacle-rape as a Chtuluic or Lovecraftian-influenced idea...

lol!

The more they try ( and the who's who of those who tried or will try is growing quite long and heavy), the more I think that Lovecraft simply cannot be translated effectively in a visual product.

I agree.

I suppose that when Dunwich is effectively rendered into ga-nime, I hope it doesn't turn into those "I went to Japan lovin' my roots, I came back Nipponised... hey my parents and friends barely recognize me. " ...

I can imagine that if Lovecraft were to react about it, he'd say his work fathered a stranger.

If the subs would show this example, this would be: "Oh! Lord Henry" into "Oh! Henry-sama".

right now I hope my pessimism is wrong, and...

The cast might ring a few bells with fans of Iwai Shunji... Mickey Curtis played the doctor in his amazing movie Swallowtail Butterfly.

I've never seen Swallowtail Butterfly, but I definitely recall a Mickey Curtis who starred in Fires on the Plain (late 1950s?).
