If I remember it correctly Kirito wasn't wearing the KotB uniform in the final battle

He was still a member of KoB.
While it wasn't stated (or I can't remember), It's likely he wore the KoB uniform, based on the illustrations.
His collar has a small cross, which is the guild symbol, while his usual black coat doesn't have it.

In ep10's duel, at one point Heath and Kiri's HP were at about 80%(?). I've understood that for the One-Strike Mode, you need a clean hit. Does this mean that both Heath and Kiri were 'scratching' each other for minor damage(i.e. they were damaging each other), or is the HP preset for that mode so that in one hit you lose?

Parrying and blocking don't negate damage completely. They actually showed this in episode 9 when Kirito was blocking the boss yet still losing health. They were both taking small amounts of damage throughout the fight.

Kirito was defeated by Absolute Sword.... As I read it was mention he didn't used "dual wielding" in that duel... Could he have won if he used it??

Probably. There were 2 instance where both fight each other. First was when Absolute Sword was looking for party member and second was during ALO swordskill competition.

It's really a subjective question. Liz, Silica, and Lyfa all implied if he had, he would win. All of their comments came down to "Kirito actually lost!!! but he only used one sword and he was just fighting for fun so w/e"

I think the closest thing to an answer came when Kirito saved the Sleeping Knights in that corridor before the boss room, showing off his insane skills during a serious situation, Yuuki was as amazed and shocked as the rest of her guild. If someone with her skills was surprised, I definitely think that yes, Kirito would win a duel between them had he gone all out.

That depends, since there is an Anti-Harassment code in SAO that prevents anything non-consensual or basically rape. The person being harassed has the option to send the player to jail.

Based on what Asuna explain about how ethic setting working in SAO (chapter 16, if I recall it correctly), the unlocking process is really complicated and have to go deep down into the menu, even Kirito didn't know it until Asuna point it out), I doubt anyone can manipulate the menu to get it unlock without the said person cooperated.

Also keep in mind that the ethic setting might not just for -- let's put it another way -- interacting with another person

It doesn't sound all that complicated, usually in the options menu we can change sound and graphic settings etc.
My guess is that it is more known amongst female players, since it's (hopefully) not like guys have the [Ethic Code] on to prevent female players harassing them

Long Answer: Kirito's running a Zero Approval Gambit in order to focus the hate of SAO players towards a fictional subclass of Beta Testers called "Beaters" (Beta Tester Cheaters). By doing this, he focuses the hate of SAO noobs towards those Beta Testers who're assholes hogging all the XP, item drops, etc etc, who're using their Beta experiences to their advantage, as opposed to the Beta Testers who're just ordinary MMO players.

Notice how he talks to Asuna later on. Unfortunately, his gambit worked a little too well when it came to the aftermath of the Black Cats.

Hmmm, just finished episode 4 and I don't think I'm comfortable with how fast Kirito is levelling up. The story also feels rushed. I take it most people read the manga first?

Also, people living alone should be dying from thirst/starvation shouldn't they?

Or is this how it's supposed to be. Should I just keep watching and be patient. Should I stop asking annoying questions...?

It was because Kirito sacrifices most of his sleep times levelling. This was explain in the Light Novel.

Kirito, like many of the Clearers (players focused on clearing SAO) tends to sleep for only a few hours and use whatever free time for level grinding. It's noted that to have a sufficient safety margin, you need to be at least 10 levels above whatever floor you are on.

In Kayaba's opening speech, he informs the players that he's informed the authorities of their situation and given them 2 hours where they'll be disconnected from the servers, to allow them to be moved from hospitals. Players speculate in-universe (though in later eps this is essentially confirmed) that they're all in hospitals, hooked up to IV drips.

No question is inherently annoying, but this is a series where it's good to watch patiently.

It's not really fast, by episode 4 over a year has gone by since game started. I mean do you really want to see 5 episodes filled with Kirito grinding giant spiders, or kobolds or other random monsters and that's it?

Spoiler for Read up to volume 7 (included) but ...:

I just finished reading the additionnal volumes: 5, 6 and 7.
Therefore until now I read volumes 1-7 plus one side story.


However I didn't notice this kind of feelings between Asuna and Kirito. The feelings, although of different type - even though Yuuki proposes marriage to Asuna as a joke - , seems to be more concentrated on Yuuki / Asuna (and a bit of Asuna with her mother) than Kirito / Asuna.

In fact I didn't notice anything at all between Asuna and Kirito, besides maybe:

• Asuna gets jealous sometimes when other girls get too much near Kirito
• She blushes and gets embarassed when Yuuki said to her about the person who was special to Asuna (Kirito)

But other than that, no, I didn't notice anything at all. They don't go out together (IRL) and in ALO they're only between friends, not really as in a love relationship.
At least in volume 5 they had a "date" (even though it was half Kirito's intention of discussing the investigation).

Personally I still continue to feel like their love was at its strongest when they were fighting for their lives in SAO, where they'd die happily together after defeating Heathcliff/Kayaba (or before, with Kuradeel, following with their marriage and the encounter with Yui).
I find that's the most EVER romantic moment in the series, maybe on pair with the end of volume 2 and Asuna getting out of that nightmare called Suguo.


Did I read something wrong? Did I miss something? Maybe along the lines there was something I couldn't fully understand ... Or maybe it's just another (later) volume???
