First half definately belonged to the Turks. And that collision between the german was and the turk was harsh. Both were bleeding and in the next minute you could the the doctors stitching them up - talking about a mobile field hospital
1 - 1 so far.

As I write this, Klose has just scored to make it 2-1. But I could not celebrate as those bastards in the Basel TV station had to have their satellite signal cut off, with millions around the world watching, FOR THE SECOND TIME! Absolute disgrace. These guys seriously need to be sacked. I can imagine the riots in the pubs in Germany and Turkey right now.
Edit: And now Turkey equalizes to 2-2 and STILL there's no picture. I'm lost for words at how much fun these TV station guy's blunder have taken off from the fans. |

Lahm made it 3-2 to seal things off, no comeback for Turkey this time, but they were close. And just as we're entering stoppage time, the signal goes off for a THIRD time. Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. These guys really know how to take the fun out of watching an exciting match.
Congrats to Germany finally making it to a Euro final since 1996 when they last won it. Now for Spain and Russia tomorrow. |

Wow and I when I saw the equalizer from Turkey in 86th minute ... again ... I thought to myself, only Turkey can do it. But Germany managed to pull off a Turkey goal at the end thus winning 3-2.
GG Turks, congratz Germany!

Bayern München - Fenerbahce Istanbul 3:2
The power failure was quite amusing... 2nd German Broadcasting (ZDF) switched to the video feed of the Swiss Broadcasting, with the audio stream being about 2 seconds ahead . Quote:

Today's Russia. Yes, their side are still weak compare to the Germany but the Russia has a lot of momentum in their side since Spain decimated them. These teams second faceoff should be a great watch as well.

Definitely Turkey's battery had run out, during the second half (though they still were able to score a goal near the end of the game). And even though I couldn't watch the second part of the second half thanks to whatever the problem it was in wherever the broadcasting is happening (people in the crowd were saying lightning, so that's probably it) -I was following ESPN-the parts that I had watched was not enough to find any excuse for the German side's tired game. It was as if they are also the side that are playing with only 2 substitutes available for playing (other than the 3rd goalkeeper).
It was a good result for Germany, and it is unfortunate that we got aware of the last three goals from the expressions of the Basel crowd scenes (they were mostly German). Still, for us, it was a good game. And, congratulations to Germany. They were the intelligent side in this game. And that made them remove the God's attention from the Turkish side in this game.... |
