Well, I think not; Cinderella Girls predated AKB0048, and iM@S predated the AKB concept itself. If anything, its the Aki-P who's been riding on the iM@S bandwagon!

But CG one-ups Aki-P in releasing over 118+ idols at once and had the courts not messed with their game would keep on going...

You've got a copy of Beautiful Katamari and I am officially jealous. That and Tales of Vesperia are IMPOSSIBLE to find around here.

As for the song, it was one of the first I ever heard in the series, so I pretty much know it front to back. Awesome vid for sure, I prefer this version to the 2010 remake.

...holy cow! I never knew there was an official iM@S Katamari kitbash!!

Its a beautiful song too. And the jokes were slotted in perfectly. (Ami and Mami breaking the 4th wall was always awesome.)

It actually took me a total of 5 tries to get Beautiful Katamari. I would order the game out of the UK, it would get lost/stolen in transit and most times it was the last copy the store had so they couldn't resend the game. Pissed me off quite a bit (but luckily the store's insurance picked up the tab and I got my money back).

When I finally got the game it actually disappointed me a bit. The problem's not the game itself, that's awesome, but the stupid decision of making you pay for 7 or 9 levels on the Market if you want to get all the achievements. And the levels are clearly already in the disk judging by the 300kb downloads.

As for Tales of Vesperia I eventually gave up and bought the stupidly overpriced digital version on the XBLM.

Overmaster. It's part of the new catalog for the PS3 version - the XBOX 360 version has had it for a while. Was originally introduced for the PSP games, though.



I don't like the quintet arrangement; it seems awkward. Plus, given the song's subject matter, I think it would be disturbing to get told off by a huge group.

I agree. In the first iDOLM@STER game, Overmaster was often a trio performance, with much more badass outfits and a darker setting to it all. It felt raw and powerful, but this one's quite a bit different. I personally prefer the former, to be honest.

I forgot to mention that Miki, Takane, and Hibiki pun on their own names in the lyrics- that's another reason why it's balanced for a trio.

Though the in-game explanation for Project Fairy's composition is that the members harmonize perfectly is cheesy, it's true. Nobody pulls it off better. I shudder every time I hear that "plan B" line.
