With that aside, both the staff and the author have displayed a love for the Mythos (and associated stuff like Call of Cthulhu) that they can gleefully poke fun at it. Also I'm sure that some of the staffers browse 2ch at least, but the fan response (which must have been surprising) won't likely influence the show's production.
