I also wish someone would do the Gekidou songs. The Haruhi new character songs are so horrible I'm starting to consider the Gekidou songs the real character songs.

I love the new Haruhi songs, I like haruhi's better the 2nd time and I like Yuki's better the 1st time.
And the Gekidou songs..sortof ARE them, in a way.
They had 1 song for each character
And then a tripplette..oh god I can't spell for shit

Triplet. And if you listen to the lyrics of Gekidou, they're very character-ish. Haruhi's was "Don't stop for less than record-breaking", which was totally a Haruhi philosophy. Mikuru's, Miracle Encore, is actually my favorite Mikuru song. Greed's accident is so Disappearance-implied it's not even funny (even the lyrics which my friend is translating), although Minorin uses her Chihara voice and not her Yuki voice.

Punkish regular is too restrained. Haruhi sticks closely to the beat, and it's not the kind of rebellious Haruhi we love. Surely a Blue Sky on that Day is the only one with potential (I like it better than Parallel Days). But Hirano Aya used her Hirano voice and not her Haruhi voice which makes me sad.

under "Mebius" was pure crap. I liked Madobe Nite better. Too much computer layered over Yuki's voice in Mebius. AND MINORIN USED HER CHIHARA VOICE. NOT HER YUKI VOICE. MUSICA of the Passage Point was more like Yuki, but it was kinda boring, although it's good to listen to occasionally. Madobe Nite tops it.

Mikuru's were typical moe-Mikuru, and were kinda boring. And Gotou Yuko's gone more off key.

i liked under Mebius, just not as much as Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite, and I can't tell the diffrence between Aya using her 'Aya' voice or 'haruhi' voice

I really digged Yuki's album, though not as much as her last one.

Haruhi's was alright. Punkish Regular was good as a whole but the "punkish regulaaa!" part annoyed me. Her other song was pretty cool though.

Mikuru....*sigh* Mikuru, I never liked her songs

Too moe for me.

Can't wait for the other character albums though :]

under "Mebius" seems to have a love/hate reaction. The only hope for most of these character songs in my opinion will come out when they're translated.

Haruhi's voice is higher and has a brighter tone; Hirano's natural voice is slightly lower, has more accentuated vibrato, and has a fuller tone.

For Koizumi and Kyon's songs, I have two main requests - one, that Ono Daisuke (Koizumi) doesn't make his voice sound like Barney again, and two, that Kyon doesn't sing enka. xD;

If Kyon ends up singing something in repsonse to Madobe Nite, Greed's accident, MUSICA, or Mebius, I'll forgive KyoAni for everything, including Endless Eight. BUT THAT'S MY YUKIKYON FANGIRLISM AGAIN.

Koizumi's will probably be ambiguous (again) and will make love/gay/straight references to either Haruhi or Kyon. Or both. Again. Kyon's will probably be along the lines of Kentai Life, except with a different style (please please please don't let it be enka)...

All in all, very disappointing albums, Yuki's most so. I expected more from Minorin...

I went through the lyrics of under Mebius trying to decipher the unintelligible romaji. What the hell is replay play play Mebius ring the ring?

Then I got it.

Mebius is a mispronounciation of "Möbius" as in the Möbius strip. That little infinite loop paper-thingy. And when considering the random Japanese words I can pick up, like "mirai" (future), as well as the vague Engrish...it all makes sense.

The song is Yuki complaining about Endless Eight.

Honestly, KyoAni. You torture us with eight episodes of pure trash and finally waste one of Yuki's character songs on that damn arc?

I think he's aware of the fact that our VN doesn't have a happy theme (after all, isn't Heatth our coder?) and what he meant was that the song Punkish Regular is too happy sounding so it can't be used as Greentext's theme.

It's not my fault they don't have a way of representing the 'ö', closest thing would be 'uei' (I think).

EDIT: The Japanese could just use an 'o' without the umlaut, like Ken Akamatsu does with his Negima! character Kurt Godel.
