I am quite sad that it ended. While the promise of a second season fills me with hope, I can't really trust it, knowing how hard Danshi Koukousei trolls its public.

Nichibros is truly at its best when it builds up its own dysfunctional and cruel universe. You don't laugh at every skits, but each of them are a part of Nichibros' brand of, sometimes downright, mean humor.

In my eyes, it's definitely one of the most underrated and/or underloved shows of this season.

True that. I didn't laugh out loud all the time, but every episode left me smiling.

Damn, i'm gonna miss this series a lot more than i thought. Is there anything similar?

The frankfurter scene reminded me of the scene in Nichijou when Yuuko was trying to eat her octopus-shaped hot dog when everyone tried to save it, but it eventually touched the ground, yet she ate it.

I am really going to miss this series. Very hilarious.

So, does this mean that episodes 5-11 did not include Takadukithis whole time because he was asleep? It all makes sense now.

It's sad to see this series go. I can't think of any other anime that made me think, "I know how that feels, man..." like this series. It was a good final episode. Habara's interpretation of Toshiyuki's reactions to her made me laugh a lot. It didn't help the fact that I found her even cute in that scene.

It really is unfortunate if everything post episode 5 are nothing but part of Tadakuni's dreams...

Don't worry, it isn't. Everything really happens as you'd expect, except for Tadakuni's dream. They just had to have one more fake-out to close the series for now.

Not only Ringo, but also Yanagin's Nago and the Archdemon form of Habara (and Rubber Shooter and Takahiro and Mitsuo and etc.)

Well thanks to SamCurt for the links to the pertinent volumes, but it seems that the setup scene where Tadakuni was lying alone in his room... is anime-only. I can confirm this, after browsing through Volume 2 (which by the way includes the first Rubber Shooter sketch).

The Hidenori/Yoshitake lookalike sketch (volume 2, chapter 23) comes AFTER the School Festival sketches (volume 2, chapters 19-22), and even then nowhere are we shown Tadakuni actually alone at home.

Bravo Sunrise, you just made people do a heck of Wild Mass Guessing over something that wasn't even in the source material to begin with. XD

Okay, finished with Volume 5, the latest one. If anyone has access to the online chapters that will make up Volume 6, now would be a good time to link them.

Spoiler for Details for those curious:

So yeah, the dream thing? Totally anime-only, and likely set up so that the series can end its season with a parody of a so-called 'dramatic closure' that many comedy series seem to suffer as they end.

You sounded as if I bought into that theory--well, I never bought into it.

Erm....you really thought that "everything after 4th ep is a dream" is true?
I was putting that image as a joke.

Well, pretty much; however, the one that fooled me was not your post, but the ones in the previous pages.

8.9/10. My only actual complain is that I want more, and some distantly minor thing about animation quality.

Seriously, stop it. It was a stupid 4chan theory than was fun at the beginning, but is quickly becoming annoying.
