It's mostly the shine I think, it just makes it, unfortunate looking, although it is a doujin cover, so who's to say.

I'm inclined to agree. With Rorschach and Ryoko... well, I can't see it happening, but yet I can see the two getting along together, hitting it off, and stabbing crime together. With Taniguchi... he's more likely to just get stabbed than anything else. Or, if Asakura is in a good mood (which is to say, not really good for anyone else anyway) Taniguchi will still probably get a swift kick to the crotch.

Yeah, Taniguchi is gonna have about the same life expectancy as a mayfly in that relationship.

I support this couple exactly because it is so much headed for disaster. Taniguchi's usual cluelessness and attempts at macho behavior, paired with her cute face and tendency to stab people behind everyone's back is a recipe for pure yandere goodness.

Sure it would not work as a permanent couple, but a single Taniguchi x Ryoko episode? Do want.
