Battle Fantasia keeps it somewhat tolerable by retconning the Incubators, so that they're a relatively new presence on Earth, as opposed to be the ones responsible for human civilization or crap like that.

I dunno, cause the Materials feels more like a family, with Diarche as the eldest daughter whom is a little full of herself yet loves her family and cares for them a lot, Stern as the sensible second daughter but has some quirks in her personality, Levi is the energetic third daughter while Yuri is the youngest.

Yup. Diarche is the only one who isn't comfortable openly admitting her love or accepting open declarations of love.

She's immature like that, and Yuri teases her for it.

Yuri's not a tease but she is very open with her emotions which embarrse Diarche. Kyrie is the one who do the teasing. However, all of them are great charactes that I would love to see more of in fanfics.
