Yet we tend to forget that the Japanese will probably have a fully functional sexbot on sale in 15 years. We shouldn't be surprised when it happens.
But they would not be as cute (little robot maid making her best effort to make your lunch every day, just think about it).

More like 100 USD if you ask me (of course, it depends on the character).

Sentient dolls, mind you. Better than with just a Japanese lap pillow...

The 4th wall break about the cake was epic. And the "sorry I can only help you through singing" just as much.

I suppose we will have to wait for the OST to kno the name.

In ep10 the fact that even shinki have a hard time getting a work because they only hire shinki with prior experience made me smile. Also, it seems there are poor master that makes their shinki work for them, that gave me a flashback Remi, nobodies boy and the chapter where they meet Master Garofoli :/

If you look at your electronic equipment instructions it has a label that says "storage temperature/working temperature" or something similar. As incredible as it sounds consumer level electronics will cease to work under extreme heat/cold and wind from a snow storm at high altitudes can drain the heat from the small bodies of the shinkis quite fast. So no different from using known metaphors like "windows" or "mouse" to introduce new terms to users, shinki act as if they had a cold if their body temperatures drops to dangerous levels.

BTW, what is this blasphemy that shinki can't eat cake?

Agreed. A life without cake cannot be called a life. Developers should produce some kind of cake like energy consumption. Something like the gels they usually drink, just in cake form.

This might be a shout-out but Lene's music act reminds me of Anne from Croisée in a Foreign Labyrinth Episode 4.5. Still needs some キラッ☆ on Episode 10 though!

Hina was such tsundere raburabu. It's clear she loves Master the way Master loves her.

... Also, I wonder what happened to the Fubuki and her master from next door...

Lol, the insert song wasn't an insert song, it was just the nut singing on top of a Santa balloon DURING AN EMERGENCY! And how the hell do robots catch colds anyway?

Hina gave a reason for their cold. Not that it's any more believable than everything we've seen about Shinkis so far.

Career Shinki? Shinki suffering cold and fever? At times, y'may be doubtful about them being mechanical units... and instead, they're flesh and bone. But of course, there are things to detract that right away -- like the way their sight works.

But man... this series just gets weirder and weirder.

If Career Shinki comes to RL, I think we will be working with them (At least, it makes the workload easier.). But hey, it still gets the job done with less work on one another.

As for Shinki having cold and fever, well, circuits inside aren't immune to temperature change. As the circuit reacts, well, you know what will happen (Since Shinki are meant to look and react like small normal girls... Oh wait... *Dendro'd*) It still depends on the type of Shinki used though, normal Shinkis will tend to be affected by these. Cold-resistant Shinkis(Forgot that Santa claus name.) will tend to not get cold easily...

But when you have Human-Sized Shinki, it will be another story... @_@

Can't agree more than that opinion of yours...
Having the entire legion of Shinki doing a job for you... i don't know what to say...
Human size Shinki means Infinite Stratos all over again....

Well, at the end of Hand Maid May she DID get a full sized body so she was no longer just a toy. Also, let's not forget Saber Marionette J.

Personal assistants for everybody!
Agreed, they are making them too human-like to be really useful, like:
Needing to sleep
Getting sick if cold (for a robot!)

Looking at the street signs, it's clear that we are far in the future. Current technology cannot make anything like a shinki.
