I'm going to guess you forgot to add this to your animelist but the best I could think of is Monster.
The protagonist saves a child's life from the hands of his abusing foster parent, but after he refuses to be sent to a different foster home he takes him with him. The bond between them grows as the story progresses. He also ends up being in the care of a different character(female) which has a strong role to play in the story. |

^I heard that the characters where rather blunt in that show but i will give it a chance in the future.
Want though to thank for the Usagi Drop and Aishiteruze Baby recommendations, usagi drop aside (which i liked a lot and was a fine piece of anime), Aishiteruze Baby was a real big surprise its noticeable in many aspects that this was a low budget show, yet it was simply awesome, thank you again, if there are any more recommendations i'll be glad to read.

Glad you like Aishiteruze Baby, that show really was a diamond in rough when it first aired. I was amazed by the story and characters and how well the animation ends up despite the obvious lack of budget as well. And for a babysitting show, the child is this show Yuzu did not end up as a spoiled brat was also a plus.

Yeah, Aishiteruze Baby is great! I'm surprised myself that I forgot to mention it ^_^. As for Usagi Drop, I couldn't recommend it coz I haven't seen it yet. I'm glad that it's a good anime. I'll definitely add it to my must-watch list. ^_^
