I, for one, did not.

Wait, is KyoAni doing that too?

No confirmation. The only projects that are publicly known that KyoAni is working on are Hyouka and Chuunibyou. People are assuming they will work on Little Busters, but there has been no additional news as of yet.

Ah, in that case LB is currently under a ninja studio.

So the mystery in Hyouka is to discover what studio is working on LB!?

It all goes well until they find out that it's actually...

...DEEN.

This is why we can't have nice things.

No, nothing official yet - but the timing does amuse me. I think it's safe to assume KyoAni is the favorite, giving how lucrative their past partnerships with KEY have been for both parties. But it could still end up with another studio.

in the LB thread theres a post saying that they coundnt negotiate LB with kyoani because theyre already booked with pony canyon and kadokawa since they only work on one anime at a time, it also mentions that they were afraid of letting someone else do the adaptation, but they believe theres some cpable studios out there rigth now.
... so....yeah.

Name on Kadokawa franchise, animated by Kyoani, that was finished or has some hints to be ever finished. Maybee the buisness model is "Force them to buy our Light Novel".

You have a point there but nothing an idiot wouldn't be surprised about.

Not all anime adaptations are based on light novels to come that quote like that. Some are based on manga, some on video games and other on light novels. The business model is something like this : Force them to buy our [insert which format the anime adaptation is based from (manga, light novel, video game...)]" but I agree that most anime nowadays are based on light novels.

I feel as though it's a waste of time even bothering to respond, but I meant that "all adaptations are designed to promote the source material, and so very rarely adapt complete works".

Mirai Nikki is one of the few exceptions I can think of off the top of my head.

Not at all. Even if it is an anime orginal or a stylish open endining, most shows are finished some day.

This is probably the series I'm looking forward to the most this spring. I can't wait to hear Ritsu's voice again.

I'd say Monster is the poster child of this exception.

Nice, Hikasa Youko is joining this series. I was wondering, is there a light novel thread for this yet? I couldn't find one in the section.

I'm glad my favorite sub group is planning on subbing this show. I heard that it's 21 episodes and not 12?

It starts later in April, so it is 21 instead of 24 episodes. As to why? I don't know. Does it have the same time slot at Ozma? That's a six week show that should end around the time Hyou-ka starts.
