Anime like School rumble. The random-ness is what I want .. T_T School rumble is soo nice. I wanted it to be like mixed school anime. I don't want the anime to only include boys or only includ girls. Mixed is the best, add some romance into the couples would be nice

Hatsukoi Limited is the closest to SR that I can think of. It has whacky love polygons, but it's a bit more serious than SR. Still quite a bit of humor.

Ouran High School Host Club is pretty random haha! It's mainly a lot of guys and one girl (as the main characters) but all the other students are usually girls =P It's pretty funny and the romance is there (although not prominant) so it's pretty good.

That was the first that came to mind but here's a few others... Lovely Complex (more romance and comedy, not like sporadic randomness), Special A (similar to OHSHC imo but not as funny and has more of a plot in the latter half), Lucky Star (Um... not romance but definitely funny if you're into that kind of comedy and lots of random!)

yea Special A and Ouran can fit ur description. Random, Funny, much more romance than School Rumble.

Try Fullmetal Panic! If you don't mind the mecha element.

It's quite comedy, along with romance, and school.

Best characters being Melissa Mao and Kurz Weber, IMHO... Also, the Second Strike is part of it, or you could try Fumoffu! Which got rid of the mecha (from what I hear.)

FMP like everyone else.

And I haven't seen it all but Boys Be was funny at times.

If you just want pure unadulterated randomness, you should check out Cromartie High School. However it doesn't have a romance sub plot and all the characters are - or look like to make the joke - men.

Thanks for making this topic, I was also looking for more shows like School Rumble.

One I've seen that was somewhat similar - Nyan Koi

School life, definitely random, comedy, one sided love, triangles, etc.... and... The main character can talk to cats. (Harima could talk to animals, too! xD) I thought it was a stupid idea until I saw it... Lol.

So far, Special A isn't like school rumble, but I'm only on episode 2.... So we'll see.
