Hayate: Let's join in! Limiter Release! Nanoha: It's been a while! Fate: This seems wrong but... Kha: That's it! Why am I running anyway? Keroko: Now we're talking! Hikki: ... Nanoha: Come on it's fun! *shoots* Tag! You're it! Hikki: HEY! I wasn't prepared! Chrono: Hey wait! Stop--!
Mayhem ensues, then after an intense free-for-all, the 6 toasted Aces are sitting in a circle laughing.
Hikki: This IS fun... Kha: For once I agree with Sakura on fighting... Chrono: Ah the repair bills...
And I'm wondering how the TSAB gets the funds to repair this amount of damage

Spoiler for Negotiations:
Scagletti was fuming.
He pounded up the stairs audibly, as if to force his anger from right under them. But him being pissed was understandable. An ever careful person, the doctor never met clients in person, opting for middlemen and encrypted psycomms. He never even told them where his laboratory was as his presents "could deliver themselves". And so, the last thing he expected from a potential client was to decrypt the code, trace his lab and bring an army down to see him.
"Show-off," Scagletti seeved.
Bang! The professor practically kicked open his viewing room door and stormed up to the bald-headed shadow watching some screens.
"What is the meaning of this?! This is not your little Outer Zone, Skane. You can't just walk in here and jeopardize the secrecy of my--"
The man just held up a hand and turned round. "Scagletti, I give you my apologies for my actions. But as you know, a man of my... popularity needs some assurance."
The doctor's eyes narrowed at the tall man cloaked in polyester parish robes. Skane had no last name, and even the reality of the first is questionable. But that did not dim the views of the vast number of followers under his wings. He was the leader of the massive Imperial Velka Army, an organization of radicals brazen and actually strong enough to take on Ordered Space at all fronts. They fought for the destruction of the Tripartite no less, to exact divine punishment for their crimes against the empire, and for their "final betrayal" while the Velka sacrificed themselves to save the universe. Scagletti didn't believe a word of Skane's quasi-religious bullcrap, but he still had enough awe of the asecular politician to let his brutal treatment of his facility slide somewhat. For from the time Scagletti saw him in the papers as a boy, through the many psyconversations they had, and finally in this face to face meeting, Skane did not appear to age, even change. And many times the GDI and TSAB claimed to have captured or killed him, but this cat had so many lives nothing stopped him from making comeback after comeback. It lent weight to the claim that he was the legitimate son borne of the Immortal God Empress who supposedly ruled all through the thousand years that the Holy Velka Imperiallon stood.
That was the part of Skane that Scagletti admired. The part of his biology that flew in the face of science and made him want to study him to improve his Relic weapons.
"This better be good then."
"How's that second detonator coming along?"
"Ever since the GDI somehow shot down the Gadgets carrying the first device, I've been unable to gather enough resources to build a second one."
"But why? You only need 4 Relics."
"Relics are rare, Skane!" Scagletti exploded in the dark cleric's smirking face. "It takes a very long time to find or make these gemstones so that last thing I want is for mine to be blown up! You got 4, you gave them to me, and I built the device. But you lost the damn thing due to your force's incompetency, so either you replace the Relics lost or you're not going to get a replacement."
He didn't waver one bit. "Then was it that you weren't bothered when Riot 6 stole your precious Relic?"
Scagletti frowned for an answer. How the heck did he know that?
"To clarify your doubts my friend, remember, the Messiah sees all, knows all and lives through it all."
"Stuff the rectoric up your rectum, Skane. I know you're not here for the detonator."
Skane huffed dramatically. "That is correct. I've heard of your pet project Lutecia and how well she's doing out in the field and from what I gather, I believe that some Relic weapons might come in handy for the plans I have in mind..."
And he turned back to the four profiles loaded on the holograph. "Weapon 63... Weapon 59. And their friends of course. They have got bad blood against the TSAB which is exactly what I need."
"Why is that?"
"Only they will understand the Imperial Velka's undying thirst for vengeance. I'm sure you know that having a common cause makes working together a lot easier, good brother."
Scagletti folded his arms. "Sorry to disappoint you Skane, you are not eligible to loan them."
Skane smiled as he place a hand over his heart. "You jest too much, Scagletti. My forces are more than able to protect your daughters from the prying hands of the TSAB."
The doctor did not let go of his stance but continued nonchalantly,"I think not. Every war you started with the TSAB has ended in defeat. Until you learn to stop biting off more than you can chew--"
"That was all according to plan. I had to die and rise time and again in order for the Imperial Velka to grow to what it is today."
"I don't give a **** about what you need to do, they are my girls and I can and will decline this losing offer!" Jeil exploded again.
"Of course you will. Without a proper exchange, I would doubt your sanity if you did. Eziel!
[Yes, Father.]
Instantly, another holo beeped and clicked into space, this time a slide show of Skane's newest projects. And Scagletti found himself having to resist the urge for his jaw to drop. Device designs, personnel optimization programs, right down to better Relic infusion and compatibility, everything the man felt he needed to further his life's work was right in front of him. While some were so new and radical he doubted their authenticity, but some were just a matter of credits and parts, both which he lacked on the scale as required by a perfect Relic weaponization program.
Skane read the lines behind Scagletti's stoic face and the dark cleric's shit-eating grin grew wider. "I have been doing some Relic research on my own on imperfect, discarded crystals of the Logians, and this is what my tech department has managed to come up with. I honestly wish to work with you, Scagletti, and we can share the fruits of our labours together! People will finally come to respect you and your research instead of labelling you a criminal, and we Velka shall have our debt paid in blood! With both of brains and brawn combined the Tripartite has not a fighting chance in the furious Hell they have damned themselves into."
The Messiah of Velka looked straight into the scientist's eyes. "What say you, Doctor Scagletti? What say you?"
TO BE CONTINUED...
Erio, what do you think? Is Scaggy going to turn him down? I'll think of another way to bring the girls in if my characterisation is wrong. No worries about that.
I liked it, the influx of villains in the thread is refreshing. And Scaglietti keeps to seem less evil with all the latest additions, is he really?
Writing Serge's history from his point of view is tiring. Decided to do it backwards - from the events closest to StrikerS first and later further into past. Here's Chapter 1, Act I:
Spoiler for Dance of the Demons - Act I:
Dance of the Demons – Act I
The day was perfect. In the blue sky of the uninhabited world MCTSC-1648 its two suns were shining brightly, but a gentle breeze wasn’t letting the heat become excessive. Several fleecy clouds were flying slowly to the west, accompanied by a large flock of birds I couldn’t recognize. I was standing on the edge of the forest covered by the shadows of enormous trees, which were probably several thousands years old, and looked at the vast plain laying in front of me. I really learned to appreciate such moments when I was able to simply enjoy the beauty of pristine nature without being distracted by the daily routines of Time-Space Administration Bureau’s Intelligence Department. As the Head Investigator of the Department’s Special Section D currently devoted to discovering construction sites and creators of AMF-equipped Gadget Drones I had especially much work recently. The Drones’ raids repeated constantly with their main targets being various classes of Lost Logia and some other ancient artifacts, which could as well be chosen by mistake. It took some time before every private in the TSAB ranks learned to deal with AMF effectively and we suffered minor losses during the first days of the Drones’ appearance but things were starting to go rather smooth lately. That is, before the appearance of a new type of Drones. They were several times bigger, had round shape and possessed a set of abilities making the old type of Drones pale in comparison. Their AMF wasn’t just upgraded to wide-ranged but increased its power as well. Their new set of weaponry covered both close and long range and on top of that their conventional plating was able to withstand direct hits of most of the spells ranked B or lower. Luckily there has been seen a very limited amount of new types during the raids yet, but fully understanding the possible scale of the problem SSD directed all its powers to locating the plants producing those advanced Drones. It took us more than a week of intense work and yesterday the location of the first discovered plant was confirmed. And that’s the reason I’m able to enjoy this wonderful scenery today - the scenery that will very soon turn into a battlefield.
- And I’m not going to participate in this battle, – murmured I to myself.
Yes, SSD’s job was finished as soon as we successfully detected the plant’s location. Further actions were not our concern. Well, normally it wouldn’t be our concern. Actually, it is still not our concern, but rather my personal one. I looked at the golden bracelet around my right hand’s wrist:
- Hopefully we’ll be seeing some decent action today, don’t you agree?
- Master really thinks that some measly Drones can be worthy opponents for a Device similar to me? That sounded like an insult, - answered Aether Origin in a low manly voice.
- That’s it, - I pretended to ignore the answer, - would you please keep this kind of voice pattern for me?
- I’ll think about it.
The task of dealing with the discovered plant in this world was assigned to Captain Takamachi Nanoha, and that was the thing that made me have a concern in it. Or rather that’s not right again – the girl herself was not of a particular significance to me. Not that I found her unattractive but what really interested me was her Device, Raising Heart. I was especially curious about possible connections between our Devices. Though they could seem totally different on the outside, many similarities I’ve found out supported my theory pretty well. Both were ancient Devices with unknown past and origins, both were meant for channeling huge amounts of magic energy in the first place, some of their functionalities were exact opposites of each other – like Raising Heart being mostly suited for converting magic particles into masses of raw magic energy while Aether Origin extracted masses of magic particles from the environment, and if the rumors of Raising Heart constantly draining its master’s magic power were true it’d also be an opposite of Aether Origin’s boosting. The case was too obvious to let it go without thorough investigation, but the Department’s archives failed to provide any significant information about Raising Heart, so I had to resort to direct observation. Relationship between the two Devices would’ve been proven if Raising Heart had an equivalent of Aether Origin’s final form, but simply waiting for its revelation could never provide me a distinctive answer to that question. So the most effective way would be putting Raising Heart into a situation when it would absolutely have to go all out. Easier said than done though, and most importantly I would need to know the current extents of Raising Heart’s power to create the most appropriate setting in future as I wouldn’t like to cause its destruction or kill its master accidentally. Today’s mission will serve this purpose exactly – I’ll be able to observe Captain Takamachi’s battle and if I get extremely lucky I’ll even get the information recorded from one of the Drones.
That being said, the battle will be too boring if the plant’s defenders get ambushed. I had to make some preparations to prevent that from happening. I left the forest and activated Flight magic. Hovering just a little above the ground, I flew across the plain in the direction the plant was discovered and soon was able to see it from afar. I didn’t want to risk being detected, so I stopped at a significant distance from the plant. Here I needed my abilities of Flow Manipulation to come into play – the plant certainly had different kinds of alarms and I needed the one sensing nearby magical disturbances. I looked intently at the plant and then closed my eyes slowly – plant’s image disappeared leaving only a pattern of magical particles on its place. The alarm sensor I needed should certainly be the most sensitive to magic effects and thus have a considerable amount of magic particles around it, as most magic-sensitive materials tend to emit them. It didn’t take long to find the necessary sensor, and I moved to the second part. Pointing my right hand into the desired direction I shaped a thread out of free magic particles, one end of which was connected to Aether Origin and the other to the said sensor. The job was done – as soon as I increase the density of the thread high enough the alarm will go off. I sat on the ground and relaxed, Captain Takamachi’s squad should be arriving every minute.
Although I awaited their arrival long-distance teleportation always occurred suddenly even for me. They made no mistakes and appeared just at the right distance to have a view on the target and still be out of the sensors’ range. There were four of them, all had their Barrier Jackets on and Devices readied. Nanoha was easily recognizable by her famous white Barrier Jacket, the blonde in Enforcer outfit near her must have been Fate Harlaown, and the other two were Belka Knights, Signum and Vita, whom I remembered from the introduction with Lt.-Col. Yagami Hayate back at the Department. The four girls looked at the plant and gathered closer to each other exchanging with the phrases I couldn’t hear from such distance. I considered the moment suitable enough and activated the thread. The alarm went off immediately and in several seconds I could see with pleasure a good dozen of advanced Drones forming a defensive formation in front of the plant. I couldn’t see clearly what impression the trick had on the girls but they were also preparing for battle. I readied five threads hanging above the Drones hoping to save at least one of them for the sake of recorded data. I’ve trained in taking control over the Drones we had captured in SSD and was pretty confident in success. All sides were ready for the upcoming battle and waited for someone to act first. Seemingly long, the wait actually lasted mere seconds.
- Raising Heart! Divine Buster! – Nanoha pointed her Device at the center of Drones’ formation, - Divine Buster. Shoot. – confirmed Raising Heart and emitted a thick pink energy beam in the chosen direction.
“Quite predictable”, - I thought to myself, - “but it’s OK to try out if the battle can be ended the easy way in the beginning.” The Drones weren’t that simple though, and I knew it. They quickly readjusted their AMF and formed a single one to meet the incoming beam. The AMF visibly fluctuated around the point the beam entered it but was doing its job perfectly – the beam was dissolving rapidly and didn’t reach even 1 meter inside the field before disappearing completely. The failure didn’t make Nanoha hesitate for long and she moved towards the Drones accompanied by the two knights. The Enforcer girl stayed at her place and looked into the sky. She planted the rear end of her staff on the ground and put her hands on top of it, starting an incantation. My Aether Insight was telling me it was going to be a wide-range enchantment meant for environment changing, but I couldn’t detect if it had specific targets and without further information considered the interference unnecessary so far. Meanwhile the trio reached AMF border and stood there for a moment. It was impossible to hear their voices because of the distance so I had to rely on my eyes and Aether Insight. The Drones opened fire, powering the AMF down for the moment of shot and putting it up instantly afterwards. The attack was stopped by a round shield created by Nanoha in front of the three. She remained sill while the knights charged into opposite directions taking the Drones on the flanks. Nanoha was taking care of their defenses intercepting incoming shots with small pink energy balls swarming around her and following the knights. The one called Vita suddenly stopped and summoned about ten metal balls floating in the air. The moment Drones fired another valley of shots she turned quickly and launched the balls into Drones’ direction with a swing of her hammer. The AMF activated a second too late and several Drones got hit. Although their armor withstood the attack, one got its targeting sensors damaged and started moving blindly, leaving the formation. I decided to take this opportunity and preserve the Drone for myself. One of my threads went easily through the Drone’s armor and reached its control circuits. For some reason the Drones had magical circuits instead of common electrical – it protected them from electro-magnetic influence and AMF didn’t allow it to be damaged by magical means but made it possible for me to mess with the controls without much effort. “Not that they could predict me showing up” – I thought, taking over the damaged Drone. When its movements were under my control I ordered it to crash into the nearest plant wall and stay silent below the debris. It went well and I hoped the attackers would believe the Drone was out of action.
Turning my attention back to the battle I noticed that Signum started attacking the Drones too from the other side. Her sword changed its form into something similar to a whip and was slashing at one of the Drones also aiming for its sensors. The Drone managed to defend but had no time to retaliate. Drones changed their tactic concentrating on the defense with occasional counterattacks. I felt a cold breeze. “The weather seems to change quite rapidly here” – mentioned I to myself when several drops of rain hit my head. The sky was already covered by storm-clouds and the idea to keep sitting here without cover seemed extremely unappealing to me.
- Electric discharge at the centre of Drones’ formation in 2 seconds, - Aether Origin made me flinch in surprise.
- Wha … I don’t feel … - I tried to protest when a flash of lightning and following thunderclap proved that the Device was right. One Drone suffered a direct hit and was almost entirely turned to ashes, another two closest to it looked better but clearly suffered too much damage to continue the battle.
- Master, were you dozing off? – Damned Device was mocking me.
- Who caused that? – I realized too late that I was looking like a looser asking this question.
- Electric discharge 5 meters north from the previous one in 3 seconds, - reported it instead.
I made myself concentrate quickly and looked at the sky above the Drones. Indeed, the strike before wasn’t a natural one. And I clearly saw the place from where it was going to strike again.
- Cut! Dissolve it! – I screamed standing up and waving my hand, ordering one of the threads to move at the same time.
I saw a golden flash as my thread rapidly increased its density and then the lightning stroke. Though I was unable to prevent it completely it missed its initial target and was only able to take out one unlucky Drone. I moved one more thread to the first one and when a source for the third lightning started appearing my threads ran through it crosswise dissolving it instantly. Same happened to the fourth one. I’ve dealt with the problem from the sky but the battle on the ground was already reaching its conclusion. Seven remaining Drones couldn’t keep the formation and the moment they tried to reshape their AMF back into personal four of them were immediately taken out: one slashed by Signum’s sword, another smashed by Vita and two destroyed by Nanoha’s energy balls. Three other Drones retreated inside the plant and the girls chased after them. When they were all inside I decided to recover the data my Drone was gathering all this time. I slowly made him free itself from the debris making as little noise as possible and ordered it to move to my place in a wide arc across the plain so that it couldn’t be seen from the plant’s entrance. From what I’ve seen the information wasn’t great but it was better than nothing. The Drones’ creator probably also intended to use them for analyzing the mages they fought and equipped them with all kinds of sensors enabling them to extract a lot of information about mages’ and Devices’ potential by observing just seemingly simple actions. In several minutes the Drone made its way around my position and was reaching me from behind while I was still looking at the plant. The girls didn’t return yet but I had no intention to reveal my presence and kept an eye on the entrance just in case. Soon I was going to finish today’s mission.
- Protection Sphere, - chanted Aether Origin in a soft female voice and at the same time a golden orb formed around me I heard a vicious explosion behind me and felt the barrier being showered by debris that were an almost undamaged Drone just a moment ago.
- What’s with you casting spells without commands, and a Mid-Childian one on top of that? And didn’t I ask you not to change your voice pattern anymore?
- That was your fault not paying attention at the first place, - countered the Device.
- Are you alright? That Drone was coming directly at you, - a female spoke and when the smoke cleared I saw the blonde Enforcer standing beside the Drone’s remains.
- She was following it from the plant, so I’m afraid you’ll have to explain yourself, Ma~ster, - I could swear I had never disliked any of the Device’s voices as much as this one. I realized I didn’t see the fourth girl entering the plant; she probably never moved from her initial position and saw all my manipulations with the Drone. That was a mistake worth the resignation from the post of Head Investigator. I decided to be blunt:
- Enforcer Fate Testarossa Harlaown, - I showed that I was familiar with her profile, - I was observing the liquidation of a Drone-producing plant on behalf of Special Section D of TSAB Intelligence Department to confirm the operation’s success. I consider my mission finished now. Your concern is appreciated; may I take my leave now?
- Head Investigator Serge Blanc Romardo, - she appeared to know mine too, - could you explain the behavior of the Drone I destroyed just now? It moved in unusual way and approached you without attacking.
- Of course, I controlled it, - answered I honestly, noticing a glimpse of surprise on the girl’s face.
- With what purpose?
- I was going to extract the data it gathered.
- Was it also you who disrupted my Lightning Storm during the battle?
- I know nothing about it, - I lied cursing myself for failing to recognize her as the cause of the storm.
- And it wasn’t you who triggered the plant’s alarms soon after our arrival?
- What if I did it?
- You’ll have to explain your reasons.
- I needed to observe the full combat potential.
- Of the Drones?
- It doesn’t matter. Anyway, I’ll need to extract the data from another Drone which isn’t completely destroyed.
- I’m afraid I’ll have to escort you to the nearest base where you’ll explain exceeding your commission to the officials.
- I hope you were preventing her Device from recording our conversation well? – I addressed to Aether Origin.
- As usual, Ma~ster.
- I’m afraid I’ll have to bid you farewell then, Miss Enforcer, - I said flashing a smile at her as I initiated Flight magic.
- I’m not going to let you, - she said rising into the sky herself.
As I was able to make a considerable distance between us I was already waiting for her to do something to cover the gap and appeared to be right. A magic to form a kind of cover around the body making it neglect air resistance which allows moving at extreme speed keeping great maneuverability and attack capabilities, and protecting the body from acceleration effects too. Impressive. 2 seconds to set up the Aether Web. Done almost exactly the moment she charged at me. No, I didn’t intend to stop her, quite the contrary. My creation shined gold the moment the girl crossed about a half of the way to me. My eyes couldn’t see her moving but her spell was disturbing magic particles on her future path so my Aether Insight was able to predict the trajectory beforehand. Once activated, Aether threads immediately came into contact with the magic surrounding the girl, adjusting it accordingly. Most were meant to control the directions of her flight, other provided even more acceleration and the rest should make her spin to provide enough confusion to prevent her from canceling the spell. Thanks to the amazing speed of her movement it ended rather quickly. Spinning and accelerating threads seemed to make their work and guided by the golden path the Enforcer rammed into the ground about a hundred meters away from the place we talked. I was quite sure that shouldn’t kill her but I had no idea how long it could take before she’s able to follow me again, so I hurried to proceed with my business here.
Generia… A typical village secluded from most parts of the main land. There exist what is necessary for life, and nothing more. People were weary from the turmoil of war, but life still goes on. Struggling for survival, making do with what they can…it’s not just the knights; everyone is fighting to continue living.
I stayed a distance from General Saga, guarding his back, but never to pass his breathing space. Anyone can tell…the mood was gloomy. Even without our armors, weapons or identities known, we stood out. 2 young men… amidst children no older than 10, females and the elderly, it was only natural. Even those who are not magically adept, most young people would’ve fled such locales for safer places like the capitals, rather than a potential war zone.
Reaching the outskirts of the village… a small plain of tombstones lay. However, Saga walked to the far-end of the plain outside the bordering to a dressing of 3 rock formations, kneeling down in offer of prayer.
“This is…”
“Yes…my adoptive parent’s grave. They themselves were outcast…with no family names, nothing. Despite that, they took me and raised me, and showered me with all they could, even when they were suffering.”
“And that small rock beside?”
“That…will be mine.”
“Saga!”
“I’m sorry, Isdera, but leave me alone for a while. Even if it’s you, I don’t want you to see me like this now.”
~~~
“… I should’ve kept a closer eye on the Princess. I was distracted for a second, and she disappears. How shameful!”
The princess just instantly teleported away with Zafira…Maybe I was too naïve. The princess had been forcing herself taking up the throne of the late queen even when she, by nature is far from a warrior princess, despite her unnatural talent. I understand that she wants to carry out her duty strongly just like any daughter would, but...
Forget it. These kinds of things are not my concern. I believe in the princess, and that is all that matters. Right now, I’ve got to find the prin-
I feel something…familiar. A magical presence that is strangely…twisted, in nature…like a vortex of black as I looked in front of me. I saw him. The knight I once let go in battle, the Sword Knight of Vauxhall, Saleen.
Both of us were silent, gazing at one another. 2 enemy knights meeting like this in a half-neutral zone, what word would be more fitting, fate or irony? Although the princess needs to be found, she has Zafira with her, and without knowing what Saleen is doing here… we both walked slowly, not letting each one out of eye’s view.
Neither spoke, as we eventually reached a hill outside the village. Halfway through the forest plains of the hill, he spoke.
“It’s been a while, Signum.”
“Likewise, Saleen. I never expected to meet you in a place like this though.”
“Same here… You haven’t changed. You still look the same way you did one year ago.”
“You however…have changed. Had I not fought with you before, I wouldn’t have remotely suspected that it was you. Your magical energy…”
“I know. A lot of things happened after our fight. I am not the same man I used to be.”
“Regardless, you understand…right?”
“Of course.”
~~~
Both of us materialized our devices, mine forming the same blade I once used against her, though it was reinforced by Saga, while she…the same as she was before. A blaze red armor knight, along with her chain-blade, Leavantine. I had no armor though due to my Linker Core’s crippled state.
[ Schlangenform! Load Cartridge!]
Her blade, like a burning rattle snake, rips the air with the heat of her fangs, and the sharpness of her claws…However, despite that, the speed of her sword was…a little, almost unnoticeable, but very slightly slower than the speed she once fought against me.
Is she not at her game? Is she underestimating my lowered capabilities? Is she going easy on me?
Don’t fuck around. Just who the hell do you think you’re messing with, Signum!
I held on to Zulfiqar strongly, and with a precise aim at the bend of Leavantine’s chipped snake-blade’s neck, I slashed my blade with perfect timing, with an overhead raw attack, both wild and overbearing, pushing Signum back to a tree with that shock of a blow.
“Just who the hell do you think I am, Signum?”
“I am Isdera Saleen, the Sword Knight of the General you know as Saladin.”
“My blade has lost its luster, and I am a mere shell of my former self…”
“But the fact that I am the greatest swordsman under Saladin, has. not. changed.”
Signum looked at me, and smiled. The flames I repelled from her earlier attack…has now spread over to the forest, slowly turning the forest into a hellfire.
This is going to be a long fight.
~~~
I looked at their graves and pondered. War… how long more will it go on? How long more before I can pursue who I truly am?
“Is that your family’s grave?”
A solemn, voice, quiet with a sense of demeanor awakened me from my thoughts. I turned around…and saw a beautiful young woman, with silver hair and crimson red eyes.
I didn’t know then…that meeting would shake the fates of young ones…generations…aeons to come.
No one could’ve possibly known.
P.S There was a blue wolf by the young woman's side too, but who cares. :P
The next part may be a little slow, since I'm a total loser at doing the "meeting of fates" kind of thing, unless it involves ANGST, and cheesy stuff that no one uses in real life.
Device History:
It was found as a rampaging lost logia among the busy space shipping lanes leading into the midchilda system. It was the first incident when the three aces and Kyla met for the first time- since only the AX took the mission. After it was recovered, It was subsequently restored, refitted and certified for bureau use. It was on June 13- a friday, when the ship was christened under its original name.
History:
History withheld upon the orders of Adm. Kyla Scrya and several high-ranking bureau figures.
Then the Daughter.
Spoiler for Chacha: The Silvana's Pride and Joy:
Name: Chacha Age: 5 in AlternateS I, 5-15 in Otome Daisen, 19 in AlternateS II Gender: Female Birthday: Production Identity Plate Indicated: Manufacture Date: April 1, MCY 76 Hair: Green Eyes: Green Build: Height: Weight: Home World: Mid-childa Magic System: Mid-Type Magic Color: Green Mage Rank: Rank undetermined due to her status and role, as well as age. Probable C to A+ Personality: cheerful, what a child normally is, but when serious, she is really. Affiliation: TSABS Silvana Mascot Device: None in AlternateS I, Gains the "Clear Will Crystal" in Otome Daisen from Garderobe Academy. Device Type: Otome Meister-Rank GEM. Description: The "Clear Will Crystal" is one of the new Meister Rank GEMs that was created at the now bureau-affiliated academy, intended to be used as an experimental tool for testing the X-type nanomachines. But the sudden emergence of the Neo-Schwarz has halted things once again. Fortunately, CC had brought the issue up while the child was under the care of Natsuki Kruger, while her mother Minerva went to fight. Since the battle was near Wind city, the effects of it were felt at the academy. While the adults- namely the academy administration, dicussed the X-type, the child butted in, suggesting that they test the machines on her. they reluctantly agreed, after CC's prodding. It was a sucess, giving her a weapon, a robe-type barrier jacket and even accelerating her age by ten years- permanently.
History:
Fist seen being introduced in AlternateS- in front of Chrono, Chacha's the source of pride and joy for the often weary crew- her simply being a child was enough for even the most irate of crew members to soften up and tone down. But something sad lies behind her 'birth', and only Kyla knows. Chacha was created from a data crystal that Minerva had as a memento of the time long before- when she was still serving in her former military unit. The crystal came from someone called "Vincent", who her mother had a liking to- who is in fact her father, since the data contained in the crystal was that of Vincent's as well. Minerva had once a depression spell, and Kyla, out of mercy, copied the data of the crystal and combined it with Minerva's own, resutling in Chacha's cheerful yet determined nature. During the AlternateS arc, she served as an emotional anchor to her mother, when she got depressed over thier inability to look for Vincent- now identifed as another AI of a ship similar to the Silvana.
Then when Vincent was recovered, she was shy of him at first, but then warmed up to him. And during the time when Kha was 'dead', she was instrumental in finding his spirit and soon after his return and the forging of the first Neo velka device, took care of the AI that resided inside the silver cross, often asking the cleric if she can wear the cross as so to check on her "little sister". but when Sakura's pesonality tuned in, Chacha found herself dealing with a pesky little sister- making her scold her each time almost.
During a reunion mission of the Silvana and the Aces, during one of the most intense battles, Chacha was left in the care of Planet Earl's Five Pillars, namely under Garderobe principal Natsuki Kruger, since Minerva had told the child that staying on the ship was now far too risky. Then during a heated discussion about the 'banned' X-type nanomachines, the child cuts in and even yelled to them that she wanted to fight, since she wanted to see all of them happy- they reluctantly allowed the child's request- and thus, she acquired the Clear Will Crystal.
She was last seen monitoring events outside Hotel Augusta during Yuuno's funtion attendance- as ordered by his mother-CO- under cloak.
Sorry that I have not been active for the last few days ive been kinda out of it due to a car accident. But I am coming back slowly
Maybe I should go and create a "shota" villain to counteract the massive flood of loli antagonists, then
Spoiler for short description of the shota villain:
Name: Takeru (full name: unknown)
Moniker: Silent Bullet
Age: 12
Origin: Earth
Magic type: Neo Belka / Mid-Childa
Magic colour: blood red
Device: Little Buster
Device type: Armed Storage Device
Device appearance: sniper rifle
Description: a assassin mage hired by world governments to do the "dirty" works, Takeru is completely calm and well-mannered despite his status as the feared Silent Bullet. He never complains of his job and will do anything to get it done, even if it means confronting the TSAB Aces, his current assignment.
Class: Takeru is a Long-Range Bombardment type, and excels in Precision Assault. He usually employs the "hit-and-run" tactic and leaves targets completely stunned and bewildered at what has just hit them.
Takeru is originally a character from my anime competition submission, that I decided to alter a bit and make him fit with Nanoha Universe. More of him to come soon.
SILENT BULLET! So he's here too? When will we see Frieda?
Yes. Hikki is one of the only characters in my list who exists for multiple universes.
Again I will be using Lowe's unique method of profile description, as I believe it makes the read quite fun.
Spoiler for Episode 02 - Part 1: Gwendolyn:
Episode 02: A Peek into the Past – Part 1: Gwendolyn
Natalia: Hey guys, what are you doing? Ashelyn: Lily, look! We found Gwen-chan’s profile! Natalia: What? Her profile? Let me see that.
Code Name: Living Relic Weapon #63 – Gwendolyn
Real Name: Sarah Alicia Lushien
Nickname: Gwendolyn
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Height: 4’2’’
Hair: Light brown, semi-long
Eye Color: Light blue
Origin: Mid-Childa; grew up in Dr. Scaglietti’s Research Facility #34
Magic Type: Mid-Childa
Magic Circle Color: White
Device: Leucosia (Staff)
Device Type: Magic Control Intelligent Device
Relic specialty: Apparently unlimited energy source
Magic specialty: Enhancement and Bombardment
Natalia: Sarah Alicia? I thought her real name was Gwendolyn. Iris: She decided to use her code name instead, as she does not want to remember the past. Natalia: … I never knew that. Rhea: The next page has some of her past.
Before she was found by Dr. Scaglietti when she was four years old, Sarah was part of the Lushien family, which was well known for their great linage of mages. However, they were better known at that time for their research on Lost Logia. This research was legal in every way, but as the experiments became more in-depth, the Time-Space Administration Bureau took notice and raided their house and laboratory, killing every one of the members of the family on the spot. Apparently, the Lushiens were close to finding out about some special properties of the Lost Logia, which the Bureau deemed top secret. Sarah barely survived the attack, but she was about to die.
Natalia: What the hell? Iris: Hmm. The Bureau knows more about the Lost Logia than what they make us think they do. Natalia: Those bastards… Does Gwendolyn know about this? Iris: Yes, Scaglietti told her a long time ago. Ashelyn: Poor Gwen-chan… Maybe that is why she always looks so sad when she is alone. Rhea: But she always looks so full of energy when she's with us! Natalia: Does she want revenge? Iris: I don’t think so. She doesn’t seem to hate them, either. Natalia: Well, I sure do now. Even if Gwendolyn doesn’t want revenge, I will… Iris: Hey, now. I don’t think Gwen would be happy if you did that. Rhea: I agree with Natalia-san, though. I won’t forgive those who hurt Gwendolyn-san. Iris: Hehe. You sure are protective when it comes to Gwen… Rhea: I… When I first came to this facility, I was all alone. She was the first to ever talk to me, and she… she gave me a name… If it wasn’t for Gwendolyn-san, I wouldn’t be here right now. Iris: … Sorry for saying that… Rhea: Oh, don’t be! I’m very happy to have met her, and now I’m very happy to be with all of you.
It was then when she was taken in by Dr. Scaglietti, who went to the scene to check for the remaining of the experiments. She has since been used in various Relic-related experiments. In this facility, she was given the code name “Gwendolyn”.
Gwendolyn, age 8. While in our monthly Relic compatibility experiments, we lost control over Gwendolyn and she tried to take her own life. […]
Ashelyn: *shock* Natalia: …
[…] Thankfully, soon after the incident, we have seen a girl named Iris, code name Aeolos, come in contact with Gwendolyn everyday. Ever since then, Gwendolyn has changed a lot and has cooperated with us a lot more during the experiments.
Natalia: I can’t read any more of this… Ashelyn: … Rhea: So you have known Gwendolyn-san for a long time, Iris-san? Iris: Yes. I’m glad I met her, too, or I wouldn’t have tolerated any more of this myself…
Natalia skips ahead a bit.
Gwendolyn, age 14. This is incredible. Gwendolyn’s compatibility level with our 60th Relic has reached 96%, the highest level we have ever attained. We have yet to find any abnormal qualities in this Relic; however, it apparently has an unlimited amount of energy. If this Relic becomes Gwendolyn’s Linker Core, she has the possibility of having unlimited stamina for casting spells.
[…]
Gwendolyn, age 15. Gwendolyn has shown a lot of confidence during battles. She is always well-composed and would not hesitate to kill someone if the need arises. She told us that she doesn’t like killing people, but sometimes it has to be done. We gave Gwendolyn a modified Intelligent Device, the staff “Leucosia”. The device’s AI was enhanced for multitasking, so that it could help Gwendolyn maintain and organize different types of Enchantments at the same time.
Natalia: And that’s the end of it. Iris: Yeah, it doesn’t have the latest information. Natalia: Hey, aren’t our profiles also around here somewhere? Iris: Probably.
Spoiler for Episode 02 - Part 2: Iris:
Episode 02: A Peek into the Past – Part 2: Iris
Rhea: Hey, I found Iris-san’s profile.
Code Name: Living Relic Weapon #59 – Aeolos
Real Name: Iris (Last Name unknown)
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Height: 4’11’’
Hair: Silver, long
Eye Color: Light red
Origin: 56th Non-Administrative World; grew up in Dr. Scaglietti’s Research Facility #34
Magic Type: Relic-based
Magic Circle Color: Blue
Device: Custom-made Glaive (details below)
Device Type: Custom (details below)
Relic specialty: Air manipulation; other
Magic specialty: Flying and Air magic
Iris was found when she was two years old at an excavation site in the 56th Non-Administrative World. Not much is known about her family, just that they were actively part of the excavations in the region. In one of those excavations, a huge explosion was triggered by the drills and the excavation equipment. Iris lost her only relative in the incident. It was later known, however, that a Lost Logia was what caused the explosion, so our investigations team went to the site to retrieve it.
Natalia: Lost Logia… Relics… It is because of their existence that we are all here, huh? Iris: Maybe so. Anyone who comes across them becomes unhappy, or so it is said. Ashelyn: Are they really just used for destruction? Iris: Who knows? Maybe we will never find out. Rhea: There is more…
It was reported that our investigations team found the Lost Logia in the hands of a small child. The Lost Logia was a Jewel Seed, which somehow had cooled down. We believe the reason behind this was Iris. The Jewel Seed, for unknown reasons, was protecting her. She would have not survived alone in such a place for that long if it wasn’t for the Jewel. No more information about this incident is still known. A miracle, perhaps.
Natalia: Wow… Ashelyn: That’s incredible! I knew Lost Logia wouldn’t have been created just for destruction! Rhea: That’s the first good thing I have heard about them. Iris: Hehe. We will never know for sure.
Natalia: Weird, some pages are missing here. Iris: Let’s see, as far as I remember, I came to this facility when I was 10 years old. It was then when I met Gwen. Natalia: Where were you before coming here? Iris: I’m not sure. It was another facility, though. Rhea: Iris-san, you sure are strong, talking about your past without hesitation. Iris: It is thanks to you all. While it has been painful, I wouldn’t have met you all if I had died back then. Rhea: I see… Iris: Ashelyn, Rhea, never forget, no matter how painful it may be, Gwen, Lily, and I are always here for you. Ashelyn and Rhea: Y-Yes!
Iris, age 16. Because of Iris’ very high compatibility level with Relic #24, an air-elemental Relic, we have started to train her in air magic. Her compatibility with the air-elemental Relic is no mere coincidence. She has almost mastered flying magic, and her use of air magic has improved a lot in a short period of time.
[…]
Iris, age 17. We have created a unique weapon for Iris. It is a custom-made glaive, with a longer and wider blade and a bit shorter staff. The blade is long enough to act as a sword, but the long staff also allows for long-range attacks. Long, thin lines were engraved into the blade to act as energy conductors so Iris could channel her energy into the blade through the staff.
Natalia: So that’s what those weird symbols are for. Iris: *laughs* I had the feeling you didn’t know… Natalia: What’s that supposed to mean?! Ashelyn: *laughs* Rhea: That’s so cool. I want a weapon like that! Iris: Your fighting style is different than mine. You should think of a weapon that suits your style. Rhea: I’ll have to think about it…
I may or may not make a third part for this episode. I'll have to see how the next set of events play out. I'm working on the next episode right now, which, for now, will definitely include Natalia's profile. I dont want to introduce her profile before the next battle.
Any comments are welcome, as always. Hope you like it!
Spoiler for #47C6: Threshold:
Subject: Requesting permission to modify #47C6 Threshold's profile
To: Lt. Colonel Yagami Hayate
From: Enforcer Maple
Date: 14/11/0072
We have recently found a laboratory in the vicinity of Ghast where Threshold was first found. The laboratory itself was heavily damaged and devoid of people. Much of the information stored in the computers was heavily corrupted but some of it was readable. We believe some of the information found relates to Threshold directly.
The documents refer to a "Subject #0002" that has, since birth, a device installed inside of her. This device was not activated according to the information but there has said to be plans to activate it. The description of #0002 matches that of our own #47C6 so we believe they refer to the same person.
Normally, even a person with high magical power have natural control over it. However, when we found the girl, she was unstable and seemed to have little control over how own powers, which is why we applied the limiter. From the information we gathered, it is possible to conclude that her high magical power that we detected came instead from her device, which, if recently activated, explains why she had difficulty controlling it. The device, if embeded internally, would be nearly impossible to detect unless if it was checked for specifically.
Unfortunally, this does give credibility to the suspicions that she was involved in the attack on Ghast. Also unfortunally, we still don't know any reasons for her current behaviour or her relationship with #47C7 Pain.
I will like to request permission to update #47C6 Threshold's profile to include this new information. Thank you.
Excellent! These are the kinds of conflicted and charming antagonists that several shows lack nowadays! INFINITE POWER is also a big plus.
Spoiler for Part 3.35 : Wind and Fire:
~Part III Verse 3.5 Knights of Wind of Fire~
It was not long ago that my body still possessed ‘wings’ that allowed me to soar and fly through the sky. But now…I cannot even remember that feeling, like it was something foreign.
But I’ll never forget that day, the battle I fought, that surge of emotion, prior to the loss of my wings.
It was the first time I met her, and fought her.
The General that protects the Princess of the Night Sky…Signum.
~~~
7 Knights dead. Only I remain, against a lone female swordswoman. Amidst the burning battlefield, her hair and sword seemed to be one with the flames itself.
Our swords clashed again. A ripping sound of metal crashing against one another at an extreme velocity, like the sound of roaring thunder filled our ears. A hundred times, a thousand times, none of us remembered.
After what felt like an eternity, our clash was broken by the sound of simultaneous cartridge loads, and at that instant, my sword broke in half.
Feeling the rush, I sheathed my sword back and rushed down to the ground of fallen comrades, grabbing their blades and fought on. One sword broke again.
And another. And another. And another. Until there was no more. Only hers, the falchion blade…Leavantine.
I thought it was the end, but it wasn’t… Rather than swinging down the sword to claim my head, she pointed to me, and asked my name.
“Sword Knight of Vauxhall, what is your name?”
“My name is Isdera Saleen, just a regular Knight of Swords.”
“Your swordsmanship is impressive, but you use a weapon unbefitting of your capabilities. For me to strike you down now would be an insult to both of us as Belkan Knights.”
“My name is Signum, Flame Knight of the Princess. Remember it, Saleen.”
~~~
She let me go. Out of respect and honor as fellow knights, regardless of wars or factions. She never said it, but we both knew…the next time we meet in battle, it would probably be our last. It was an unspoken promise between 2 knights.
However, soon…I lost half of myself. My wings, my magic, my loyalty. Had it been for Saga…I would’ve lost everything.
Today...is the anniversary of General Saga’s parent’s death. He never goes out on leisure activities even during peaceful times, preferring to help out with various military and administrative issues for the sake of the empire, but he always goes to visit his parent’s grave on that time of every year.
He insisted he would be fine alone, but I tagged along. The rest of Zerstroritter coming along would be too dangerous. It was a small village at the borders of the nation, technically not under both Vauxhall and Opel, but fate brought him to this war on one side. The secluded village of Generia… General Saga’s hometown.
It would only be for a until nightfall for a few hours… hopefully nothing goes wrong.
~~~
“Signum, I need to do this.”
Two figures, cloaked in auspicious, desert travel robes along with a blue wolf , were flying stealthily across the barren lands, to the direction of a small village near the outskirts of the region.
“Princess, it’s dangerous for you to go outside near the very borders of the region, even with Zafira. Even if your face and identity is not known to the general public, it’s still dangerous as its open to Vauxhall’s armies too.”
“Signum… This war is tearing apart this nation. And it’s not just the enemy and ourselves, people who want nothing to do with this war is suffering from it too…I need to see it for myself.”
The stern look from the eyes of the princess, hidden under the robe penetrated Signum’s gaze. She sighed heartedly, and gave up.
“All right, Princess. But allow me to protect you during your travel. And please, do not take too long.”
“Thank you, Signum. To Generia then.”
"...." (( where's mah speaking lines!? - Zafira ))
The next part or 2 should cover Signum vs Isdera II, and the first meeting between Saga and Reinforce. :3
Very good so far. Keep it up! And did Zafira just break the fourth wall there?

Spoiler for Character - Tais Scien:
Name: Tais Scien
Gender: Male
Age: 19 as of beginning of Strikers
Birthday: 11th November
Birthplace: Klaus III
Height: 190cm
Weight: 75Kg
Eyes: Dark blue
Hair: Short, Raven black
Build: Muscular
Clothing: Black undershirt with standard uniform pants
Rank: Corporal
Unit: Central Science & Development Bureau
Occupation: Full time designated field operator for Experimental Variable Armour series. Currently attached to the 108th Battalion for testing of his device under actual combat conditions
Profile:
An exercise freak who cannot stay still for too long, constantly exercises whenever he has nothing to do. An exception is that when he sleeps, he sleeps like the dead, very quiet and still. In fact, even his chest does not move much, which tends to scare people who have not seen him sleep before. After passing the basic course for all TSAB members, he was assigned to the Central Science & development Bureau due to his strength and stamina. His assignment currently is
to assist the scientists and mages there in testing an experimental device, which due to its weight, he is much suited for.
Personality:
Constantly cheerful despite having a tendency to think out loud without ever realizing it. Even when others tell him he is doing it, he gets very surprised. He does not into trouble (much) as he has a positive outlook and tends to think nicely of people although on occasion, people have taken offense at his words/thoughts. On the other hand, he does not have much friends as most think his exercise and thinking out loud habits is very embarrassing. However, he is very kind and is known keep food on him to feed any strays or animals he sees which includes any familiars in creature form. He doesn't attempt to feed familiars in humunoid form, instead treating them like full humans.
Relationships:
He get along well with people on a casual basis but most people avoid him due to his quirks. He has a major crush on Ginga Nakajima after talking to her once and hearing her laugh. He got very elated when he found out he was going to be attached to the 108th battalion although the people at Central Science & Development Bureau for a moment, thought he was happy because he isn't going to be around them any more. That is until they heard him thinking out loud literally about seeing Ginga again.
Device: Experimental Variable Armour 001
1st Test version of Experimental Variable Armour series storage devices. Sacrificing speed for added protection, E.V.A takes protection to the extreme (some say absurd, insane etc) degree, this device when deployed, takes the form of full body, 1 inch think, battleship grade, heavy neo-titanium alloy armour plating for the entire body and a fearsome, beast-like helmet/mask. The device also includes stronger magical protection then standard barrier jackets and allows the user the use of a few pre-programmed spells which will be described later. This however is just the standard parts for the E.V.A. series devices(currently). Currently, E.V.A 001 is equipped with a few non-standard parts including twin retro-rockets, semi-integrated magagumo wizard pack, cartridge system and an expanded memory core with an experimental A.I installed. The retro rockets are basically used for boost assisted jumping while the magagumo wizard pack is a weapon system that features 6 claws attached to retractable tentacles for short to mid range (25 meters) combat which can also double as extra protection. The official reason for adding an A.I. is that additional parts may be added or taken away without the hassle of manually retuning the device. Unofficially, the A.I exists so that it can save Tais's behind when he starts thinking out loud. Tais has named his I.D Yui. In civilian form, Yui becomes a cross with a jeweled center. Despite her advantages, Yui requires quite a fair bit of physical strength in order to be used and she drains magical energy at a high rate. Currently, the people at the Central Science & Development Bureau are trying to reduce the weight and power consumption problems so that basic versions of E.V.A storage devices can become standard equipment.
Barrier Jacket:
Form fitting, black, full body flexible polymer suit, covering covering every single inch of the body except the area around and between the eyes. It is very different from all other barrier jackets as it does not provide the wearer with any sort of protection at all. This barrier jacket has been designed to help reduce the stress of energy drainage from the E.V.A series devices by efficiently transferring energy from the mage to the device by use of 361 strategically placed amplifiers throughout the suit.
Fighting Style:
Tais usually starts off combat by activating light of souls shield spell and strength of souls boost spell. Next he literally charges into the enemy with an AT Field shield spell and dismisses it when he gets into melee combat range. Due to the addition of the magagumo wizard pack, his combat style has changed to concentrating heavily on casting a force field spell, relying on Yui's auto guard spell and armour to protect him while he confines the enemy with him. Deploying the claws, he will (with Yui's help) use them to attack and defend and occasionally, wrapping a claw around the opponent to crush them. Trap, Tank and Spank in short.
Abilities:
Tais isn't very good at spell casting, in fact he has only mastered 2 spells and said spells require him to chant the incantations without Yui's assistance. However, he can cast and maintain up to 4 force fields without problems.
Personal:
Boost up... Strength - 1st of 2 spells that Tais has mastered. This spell increases his physical strength which allows him to use Yui with greater ease.
Incantation: "In the name of fire, power of the flame, bestow upon me the strength to crush my foes."
Cage Barrier - 2nd of 2 spells that Tais has mastered. This spell is a force field spell Tais use constantly for many perposes, 1 of them being an umbrella. Another use he has is to trap an opponent between 2 of them and then shrink/enlarge the outer/inner barrier, applying trememdous pressure to his opponent.
Incantation: "Beast that guards the gates of the dead, barrier that shields and traps, I invoke thee"
Pre-programmed:
Cross explosion - A relatively swift moving beam attack that when it hits something, explodes into a cross shape beam of energy. The strength of this spell
depends on the amount of energy that is put into the attack. No matter how little power is put into the attack, its still requires a bit of time to charge.
AT Field - The holy region that must not be invaded by anyone, the light of the soul, the wall the encloses the heart of man. This is a very tough shield spell despite its name which can deflect a great many physical and magical attack. The strength of this spell depends on the amount of energy that is channelled into it.
Blocker - Auto guard magic. While it can guard in every direction, it is just as easily broken.
Recovery - Restoration magic that can repair the device in a few seconds. Not available if the device is too heavy damaged.
Other notes:
The A.I. Yui is a very recent addition to Tais's E.V.A storage device, making it technically an Intelligent device. This A.I like most other parts of the device are experimental (Beta version). Yui is meant to be the stable Mid-Childa version of the Velka unison device, which the people at the Central Science & Development Bureau hope would turn Unison devices into viable products. Currently only management of Tais power and control of the magagumo wizard pack is available while extensive control and management of Tais abilities and unison mode is not available as those functionalities are not included yet into the A.I.
Yui also does not like it when people refer the entire device she is integrate with as her. She insists that she is just the memory core. Tais personally "thinks" its because the entire device when fully deployed, is very heavy and damn butt ugly.
Comments please.
P.S this is what I have thought up atm. what can I do to improve this or should i just scrapped this entirely?
P.P.S I'm still in the process of reading through the earlier posts and might not reply so fast.
No, he's not overpowered. He's a very likable character with an EVA for a device. And having a crush on Ginga only makes it all the more better!

Here goes:
WIN! Finally, a mega-mastermind who can even rattle Orange-Hakase!
And, do I see a trend here? (Chaos, Skane)

GG. Come to think of it, that's quite true. The IVA, they are up to... something. Scag's reaction will have to depend on Erio really, for this was supposed to be a means to bring in the girls, but that exposes me to the canon hounds too.
Almaria:............... How, illogical. Those attacks were powerful enough to rend the time-space here in this area. And they were able to enjoy it? It would be best if we step in the next time they try it... Aurion: And you think STEPPING IN THEIR PLAYTIME is logical?! Anyway, I'm glad that you've started to be more talkative now. Almaria:Thank you. It seems to be convenient and necessary now. Going back to our discussion 9.53 seconds ago, what tactic would you suggest in subduing them before they endanger the immediate time-space area when they start playing again? Aurion: Are you sure you're not actually asking to join them next time? Almaria:In a way, yes. If only for the preservation of general dimensional safety. Aurion:

Spoiler for Part 3.5 : Meeting:
~Part III Verse 5 : Meeting of Fates~
~~~
“… I should’ve kept a closer eye on the Princess. I was distracted for a second, and she disappears. How shameful!”
The princess just instantly teleported away with Zafira…Maybe I was too naïve. The princess had been forcing herself taking up the throne of the late queen even when she, by nature is far from a warrior princess, despite her unnatural talent. I understand that she wants to carry out her duty strongly just like any daughter would, but...
Forget it. These kinds of things are not my concern. I believe in the princess, and that is all that matters. Right now, I’ve got to find the prin-
I feel something…familiar. A magical presence that is strangely…twisted, in nature…like a vortex of black as I looked in front of me. I saw him. The knight I once let go in battle, the Sword Knight of Vauxhall, Saleen.
Both of us were silent, gazing at one another. 2 enemy knights meeting like this in a half-neutral zone, what word would be more fitting, fate or irony? Although the princess needs to be found, she has Zafira with her, and without knowing what Saleen is doing here… we both walked slowly, not letting each one out of eye’s view.
Neither spoke, as we eventually reached a hill outside the village. Halfway through the forest plains of the hill, he spoke.
“It’s been a while, Signum.”
“Likewise, Saleen. I never expected to meet you in a place like this though.”
“Same here… You haven’t changed. You still look the same way you did one year ago.”
“You however…have changed. Had I not fought with you before, I wouldn’t have remotely suspected that it was you. Your magical energy…”
“I know. A lot of things happened after our fight. I am not the same man I used to be.”
“Regardless, you understand…right?”
“Of course.”
~~~
~~~
I looked at their graves and pondered. War… how long more will it go on? How long more before I can pursue who I truly am?
“Is that your family’s grave?”
A solemn, voice, quiet with a sense of demeanor awakened me from my thoughts. I turned around…and saw a beautiful young woman, with silver hair and crimson red eyes.
I didn’t know then…that meeting would shake the fates of young ones…generations…aeons to come.
No one could’ve possibly known.
P.S There was a blue wolf by the young woman's side too, but who cares. :P
The next part may be a little slow, since I'm a total loser at doing the "meeting of fates" kind of thing, unless it involves ANGST, and cheesy stuff that no one uses in real life.
Yes! Fated meetings! That's it, please keep the epicness up! Good job!
A long time ago, a young mage accidentally stumbled across a young Terran girl.
*snip*
Then, from stress of training one extremely talented girl became twice as large, and thrice as he suddenly became the barrier man of the overpowered girls.
Things got much worse once a bunch of new aces joined the bunch, and along with his desk job, the stress accumulated both ways.
The continous stress accumulated from sustaining the barrier to protect the practice room caused his reaction time to be weakened, and got a energy rebound from the damage.
The damage was so severe it was thought Yuuno could never wake up again, much less walk.
And now, he realized that why the job position of Practice Room Maintainer gets a pretty nifty retirement fund...and no one lasted for more than 2 years.
Spoiler for Getting owned is embarrassing or Tais/Ginga interaction:
~Log Number #263 : Embarrassment at the 108th~
By Yui
This has got to be the most shameful and embarrassing day of my admittedly short life. It started off normally like most days, Tais woke up early, done his personnel hygiene rituals and went for his usual morning exercises and after finishing, he would go get some breakfast at the 108th's mess hall. This morning however was a little different as he met his crush Ginga Nakajima who was also exercising and it all started to go wrong from here.
*Yui plays an audio file*
Tais: Na... Nakajima-sama! Good morning. Wow, she is so pretty....
Ginga: Oh! Hello Tais and thank you for the compliment.
Tais: Compliment?
Yui: Don't mind him miss Nakajima, he's always thinking out loud without realizing it. By the way, my name is Yui and I'm the AI assigned to this silly boy.
(Note: Yui is current hanging on a chain outside Tais's cloths)
Ginga: Hello Yui and Tais, you don't have to call me Nakajima-sama. Ginga-san will do fine
Tais: Err... ok Gin Ginga-san. Hmm... but the book....:mutters:
Ginga: Book?
Yui: Tais borrowed a book from the Infinite library recently called "Common practices of Earth" in order to try to fit in better. The head librarian there personally handed him this book.
Ginga: I'm sure he'll fit in well. Also, is it okay for me to see what you can do Yui? I'm curious to see what the scientists at the Central Science & Development Bureau have come up with.
Tais: Of .. of course its ok, we'll be happy to show you.
*Pause audio file*
At this point I wanted to disagree. Whether is it because I sense something is about to go wrong or I'm pissed that she automatically assumed that the stupid butt ugly piece of armour is part of me, can be debated.
Tais immediately activated the armour before I could protest and started rattling off the details about the armour's capabilities and construction. When he go to the magagumo pack mounted to the armour, things went.... fubar for lack of a better term.
*Resume audio file*
Tais: And this, is the magagumo wizard pack which expands my capablities.
Ginga: What does it do?
Tais: I'll show you :activates the pack:
Tais: Neat huh?
Ginga: EEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!! TENTACLE MONSTER!!!!
*Stop audio file*
This was shocking to say the least. Ginga, at this point, put on her Revolver Knuckle and uppercut Tais, releasing a revolver shot at the point of impact in under 2 secs. As neither Tais or I have expected the attack, she knocked Tais out with that one attack. I made an horrible mistake next. I took control of the tentacles hoping to use them to bring Tais to the medical centre. Ginga just saw the tentacles moving and ... I'm not too sure what she did. It seems like she managed to knocked me out too however improbable it sounds.
If I were to make a guess, I would say she knocked us back into the air and piledrivered us into the ground, burying us to the knees. That is the most likely event as I overheard the doctors saying that they found us driven straight into into the ground with Tais's knees to his feet being the only parts visible above ground.
This is most mortifying as the armour and furture AIs based on me are suppose to be standard equipment in the future and we were taken out so quickly and embarrassingly. Hmm... perhaps I should send in a request for permission to construct a solid holographic body to prevent further such incidents. ~End log~
@Nightengale: LOL I like your *Chronicles of Yuuno*
PS how do you add a quote when using the edit post function?
Very interesting, and suits MGLN style nicely. Makes me wonder what will become of the girls in the end.
And the Doc surely must have plans other than research and observation, going as far as supplying his test subjects with Intelligent Devices. Waiting for the continuation.
Hehehe. I'm waiting for the anime to reveal those. For now I have a few ideas, but I'll leave it open until I learn more. As others have said before, maybe canon will slap me in the face a bit, but I dont mind, as I'm aiming for an alternative universe fiction anwyay.
Thanks for your comments.
I know as much as Relics as you and everyone else here, so this is pure alternative universe ideas until more information is revealed in the anime.
While their premise was made so they could fit into the canon at this very moment, from here onwards their stories are pure fan fiction. The next couple of Episodes will have some "revelations" of mine about the Relics.
I'm somewhat intrigued on who "wrote" the profiles these girls found (I do hope they don't get caught for apparent unauthorized snooping ). I don't think it could be Scaglietti, as the style is much too kind, and it points to someone in the lab who could write such profile would be someone the girls would like. Probably.
Still, most awesome there. Nothing's better than revenge to get a battle going (although in this case, revenge for someone else's sake ).
Crap, and I was thinking about mentioning who wrote the profiles. It was a nurse who works for Scaglietti. Nothing really important, though, just someone taking notes.
Writing Serge's history from his point of view is tiring. Decided to do it backwards - from the events closest to StrikerS first and later further into past. Here's Chapter 1, Act I:
Spoiler for Dance of the Demons - Act I:
Dance of the Demons – Act I
The day was perfect. In the blue sky of the uninhabited world MCTSC-1648 its two suns were shining brightly, but a gentle breeze wasn’t letting the heat become excessive. Several fleecy clouds were flying slowly to the west, accompanied by a large flock of birds I couldn’t recognize. I was standing on the edge of the forest covered by the shadows of enormous trees, which were probably several thousands years old, and looked at the vast plain laying in front of me. I really learned to appreciate such moments when I was able to simply enjoy the beauty of pristine nature without being distracted by the daily routines of Time-Space Administration Bureau’s Intelligence Department. As the Head Investigator of the Department’s Special Section D currently devoted to discovering construction sites and creators of AMF-equipped Gadget Drones I had especially much work recently. The Drones’ raids repeated constantly with their main targets being various classes of Lost Logia and some other ancient artifacts, which could as well be chosen by mistake. It took some time before every private in the TSAB ranks learned to deal with AMF effectively and we suffered minor losses during the first days of the Drones’ appearance but things were starting to go rather smooth lately. That is, before the appearance of a new type of Drones. They were several times bigger, had round shape and possessed a set of abilities making the old type of Drones pale in comparison. Their AMF wasn’t just upgraded to wide-ranged but increased its power as well. Their new set of weaponry covered both close and long range and on top of that their conventional plating was able to withstand direct hits of most of the spells ranked B or lower. Luckily there has been seen a very limited amount of new types during the raids yet, but fully understanding the possible scale of the problem SSD directed all its powers to locating the plants producing those advanced Drones. It took us more than a week of intense work and yesterday the location of the first discovered plant was confirmed. And that’s the reason I’m able to enjoy this wonderful scenery today - the scenery that will very soon turn into a battlefield.
- And I’m not going to participate in this battle, – murmured I to myself.
Yes, SSD’s job was finished as soon as we successfully detected the plant’s location. Further actions were not our concern. Well, normally it wouldn’t be our concern. Actually, it is still not our concern, but rather my personal one. I looked at the golden bracelet around my right hand’s wrist:
- Hopefully we’ll be seeing some decent action today, don’t you agree?
- Master really thinks that some measly Drones can be worthy opponents for a Device similar to me? That sounded like an insult, - answered Aether Origin in a low manly voice.
- That’s it, - I pretended to ignore the answer, - would you please keep this kind of voice pattern for me?
- I’ll think about it.
The task of dealing with the discovered plant in this world was assigned to Captain Takamachi Nanoha, and that was the thing that made me have a concern in it. Or rather that’s not right again – the girl herself was not of a particular significance to me. Not that I found her unattractive but what really interested me was her Device, Raising Heart. I was especially curious about possible connections between our Devices. Though they could seem totally different on the outside, many similarities I’ve found out supported my theory pretty well. Both were ancient Devices with unknown past and origins, both were meant for channeling huge amounts of magic energy in the first place, some of their functionalities were exact opposites of each other – like Raising Heart being mostly suited for converting magic particles into masses of raw magic energy while Aether Origin extracted masses of magic particles from the environment, and if the rumors of Raising Heart constantly draining its master’s magic power were true it’d also be an opposite of Aether Origin’s boosting. The case was too obvious to let it go without thorough investigation, but the Department’s archives failed to provide any significant information about Raising Heart, so I had to resort to direct observation. Relationship between the two Devices would’ve been proven if Raising Heart had an equivalent of Aether Origin’s final form, but simply waiting for its revelation could never provide me a distinctive answer to that question. So the most effective way would be putting Raising Heart into a situation when it would absolutely have to go all out. Easier said than done though, and most importantly I would need to know the current extents of Raising Heart’s power to create the most appropriate setting in future as I wouldn’t like to cause its destruction or kill its master accidentally. Today’s mission will serve this purpose exactly – I’ll be able to observe Captain Takamachi’s battle and if I get extremely lucky I’ll even get the information recorded from one of the Drones.
That being said, the battle will be too boring if the plant’s defenders get ambushed. I had to make some preparations to prevent that from happening. I left the forest and activated Flight magic. Hovering just a little above the ground, I flew across the plain in the direction the plant was discovered and soon was able to see it from afar. I didn’t want to risk being detected, so I stopped at a significant distance from the plant. Here I needed my abilities of Flow Manipulation to come into play – the plant certainly had different kinds of alarms and I needed the one sensing nearby magical disturbances. I looked intently at the plant and then closed my eyes slowly – plant’s image disappeared leaving only a pattern of magical particles on its place. The alarm sensor I needed should certainly be the most sensitive to magic effects and thus have a considerable amount of magic particles around it, as most magic-sensitive materials tend to emit them. It didn’t take long to find the necessary sensor, and I moved to the second part. Pointing my right hand into the desired direction I shaped a thread out of free magic particles, one end of which was connected to Aether Origin and the other to the said sensor. The job was done – as soon as I increase the density of the thread high enough the alarm will go off. I sat on the ground and relaxed, Captain Takamachi’s squad should be arriving every minute.
Although I awaited their arrival long-distance teleportation always occurred suddenly even for me. They made no mistakes and appeared just at the right distance to have a view on the target and still be out of the sensors’ range. There were four of them, all had their Barrier Jackets on and Devices readied. Nanoha was easily recognizable by her famous white Barrier Jacket, the blonde in Enforcer outfit near her must have been Fate Harlaown, and the other two were Belka Knights, Signum and Vita, whom I remembered from the introduction with Lt.-Col. Yagami Hayate back at the Department. The four girls looked at the plant and gathered closer to each other exchanging with the phrases I couldn’t hear from such distance. I considered the moment suitable enough and activated the thread. The alarm went off immediately and in several seconds I could see with pleasure a good dozen of advanced Drones forming a defensive formation in front of the plant. I couldn’t see clearly what impression the trick had on the girls but they were also preparing for battle. I readied five threads hanging above the Drones hoping to save at least one of them for the sake of recorded data. I’ve trained in taking control over the Drones we had captured in SSD and was pretty confident in success. All sides were ready for the upcoming battle and waited for someone to act first. Seemingly long, the wait actually lasted mere seconds.
- Raising Heart! Divine Buster! – Nanoha pointed her Device at the center of Drones’ formation, - Divine Buster. Shoot. – confirmed Raising Heart and emitted a thick pink energy beam in the chosen direction.
“Quite predictable”, - I thought to myself, - “but it’s OK to try out if the battle can be ended the easy way in the beginning.” The Drones weren’t that simple though, and I knew it. They quickly readjusted their AMF and formed a single one to meet the incoming beam. The AMF visibly fluctuated around the point the beam entered it but was doing its job perfectly – the beam was dissolving rapidly and didn’t reach even 1 meter inside the field before disappearing completely. The failure didn’t make Nanoha hesitate for long and she moved towards the Drones accompanied by the two knights. The Enforcer girl stayed at her place and looked into the sky. She planted the rear end of her staff on the ground and put her hands on top of it, starting an incantation. My Aether Insight was telling me it was going to be a wide-range enchantment meant for environment changing, but I couldn’t detect if it had specific targets and without further information considered the interference unnecessary so far. Meanwhile the trio reached AMF border and stood there for a moment. It was impossible to hear their voices because of the distance so I had to rely on my eyes and Aether Insight. The Drones opened fire, powering the AMF down for the moment of shot and putting it up instantly afterwards. The attack was stopped by a round shield created by Nanoha in front of the three. She remained sill while the knights charged into opposite directions taking the Drones on the flanks. Nanoha was taking care of their defenses intercepting incoming shots with small pink energy balls swarming around her and following the knights. The one called Vita suddenly stopped and summoned about ten metal balls floating in the air. The moment Drones fired another valley of shots she turned quickly and launched the balls into Drones’ direction with a swing of her hammer. The AMF activated a second too late and several Drones got hit. Although their armor withstood the attack, one got its targeting sensors damaged and started moving blindly, leaving the formation. I decided to take this opportunity and preserve the Drone for myself. One of my threads went easily through the Drone’s armor and reached its control circuits. For some reason the Drones had magical circuits instead of common electrical – it protected them from electro-magnetic influence and AMF didn’t allow it to be damaged by magical means but made it possible for me to mess with the controls without much effort. “Not that they could predict me showing up” – I thought, taking over the damaged Drone. When its movements were under my control I ordered it to crash into the nearest plant wall and stay silent below the debris. It went well and I hoped the attackers would believe the Drone was out of action.
Turning my attention back to the battle I noticed that Signum started attacking the Drones too from the other side. Her sword changed its form into something similar to a whip and was slashing at one of the Drones also aiming for its sensors. The Drone managed to defend but had no time to retaliate. Drones changed their tactic concentrating on the defense with occasional counterattacks. I felt a cold breeze. “The weather seems to change quite rapidly here” – mentioned I to myself when several drops of rain hit my head. The sky was already covered by storm-clouds and the idea to keep sitting here without cover seemed extremely unappealing to me.
- Electric discharge at the centre of Drones’ formation in 2 seconds, - Aether Origin made me flinch in surprise.
- Wha … I don’t feel … - I tried to protest when a flash of lightning and following thunderclap proved that the Device was right. One Drone suffered a direct hit and was almost entirely turned to ashes, another two closest to it looked better but clearly suffered too much damage to continue the battle.
- Master, were you dozing off? – Damned Device was mocking me.
- Who caused that? – I realized too late that I was looking like a looser asking this question.
- Electric discharge 5 meters north from the previous one in 3 seconds, - reported it instead.
I made myself concentrate quickly and looked at the sky above the Drones. Indeed, the strike before wasn’t a natural one. And I clearly saw the place from where it was going to strike again.
- Cut! Dissolve it! – I screamed standing up and waving my hand, ordering one of the threads to move at the same time.
I saw a golden flash as my thread rapidly increased its density and then the lightning stroke. Though I was unable to prevent it completely it missed its initial target and was only able to take out one unlucky Drone. I moved one more thread to the first one and when a source for the third lightning started appearing my threads ran through it crosswise dissolving it instantly. Same happened to the fourth one. I’ve dealt with the problem from the sky but the battle on the ground was already reaching its conclusion. Seven remaining Drones couldn’t keep the formation and the moment they tried to reshape their AMF back into personal four of them were immediately taken out: one slashed by Signum’s sword, another smashed by Vita and two destroyed by Nanoha’s energy balls. Three other Drones retreated inside the plant and the girls chased after them. When they were all inside I decided to recover the data my Drone was gathering all this time. I slowly made him free itself from the debris making as little noise as possible and ordered it to move to my place in a wide arc across the plain so that it couldn’t be seen from the plant’s entrance. From what I’ve seen the information wasn’t great but it was better than nothing. The Drones’ creator probably also intended to use them for analyzing the mages they fought and equipped them with all kinds of sensors enabling them to extract a lot of information about mages’ and Devices’ potential by observing just seemingly simple actions. In several minutes the Drone made its way around my position and was reaching me from behind while I was still looking at the plant. The girls didn’t return yet but I had no intention to reveal my presence and kept an eye on the entrance just in case. Soon I was going to finish today’s mission.
- Protection Sphere, - chanted Aether Origin in a soft female voice and at the same time a golden orb formed around me I heard a vicious explosion behind me and felt the barrier being showered by debris that were an almost undamaged Drone just a moment ago.
- What’s with you casting spells without commands, and a Mid-Childian one on top of that? And didn’t I ask you not to change your voice pattern anymore?
- That was your fault not paying attention at the first place, - countered the Device.
- Are you alright? That Drone was coming directly at you, - a female spoke and when the smoke cleared I saw the blonde Enforcer standing beside the Drone’s remains.
- She was following it from the plant, so I’m afraid you’ll have to explain yourself, Ma~ster, - I could swear I had never disliked any of the Device’s voices as much as this one. I realized I didn’t see the fourth girl entering the plant; she probably never moved from her initial position and saw all my manipulations with the Drone. That was a mistake worth the resignation from the post of Head Investigator. I decided to be blunt:
- Enforcer Fate Testarossa Harlaown, - I showed that I was familiar with her profile, - I was observing the liquidation of a Drone-producing plant on behalf of Special Section D of TSAB Intelligence Department to confirm the operation’s success. I consider my mission finished now. Your concern is appreciated; may I take my leave now?
- Head Investigator Serge Blanc Romardo, - she appeared to know mine too, - could you explain the behavior of the Drone I destroyed just now? It moved in unusual way and approached you without attacking.
- Of course, I controlled it, - answered I honestly, noticing a glimpse of surprise on the girl’s face.
- With what purpose?
- I was going to extract the data it gathered.
- Was it also you who disrupted my Lightning Storm during the battle?
- I know nothing about it, - I lied cursing myself for failing to recognize her as the cause of the storm.
- And it wasn’t you who triggered the plant’s alarms soon after our arrival?
- What if I did it?
- You’ll have to explain your reasons.
- I needed to observe the full combat potential.
- Of the Drones?
- It doesn’t matter. Anyway, I’ll need to extract the data from another Drone which isn’t completely destroyed.
- I’m afraid I’ll have to escort you to the nearest base where you’ll explain exceeding your commission to the officials.
- I hope you were preventing her Device from recording our conversation well? – I addressed to Aether Origin.
- As usual, Ma~ster.
- I’m afraid I’ll have to bid you farewell then, Miss Enforcer, - I said flashing a smile at her as I initiated Flight magic.
- I’m not going to let you, - she said rising into the sky herself.
As I was able to make a considerable distance between us I was already waiting for her to do something to cover the gap and appeared to be right. A magic to form a kind of cover around the body making it neglect air resistance which allows moving at extreme speed keeping great maneuverability and attack capabilities, and protecting the body from acceleration effects too. Impressive. 2 seconds to set up the Aether Web. Done almost exactly the moment she charged at me. No, I didn’t intend to stop her, quite the contrary. My creation shined gold the moment the girl crossed about a half of the way to me. My eyes couldn’t see her moving but her spell was disturbing magic particles on her future path so my Aether Insight was able to predict the trajectory beforehand. Once activated, Aether threads immediately came into contact with the magic surrounding the girl, adjusting it accordingly. Most were meant to control the directions of her flight, other provided even more acceleration and the rest should make her spin to provide enough confusion to prevent her from canceling the spell. Thanks to the amazing speed of her movement it ended rather quickly. Spinning and accelerating threads seemed to make their work and guided by the golden path the Enforcer rammed into the ground about a hundred meters away from the place we talked. I was quite sure that shouldn’t kill her but I had no idea how long it could take before she’s able to follow me again, so I hurried to proceed with my business here.
Wow!! That was cool! I started reading, then suddenly realised that i hadn't read through the character description.... The 'Meddler' indeed.
Spoiler for Part 3.5 : Meeting:
~Part III Verse 5 : Meeting of Fates~
Generia… A typical village secluded from most parts of the main land. There exist what is necessary for life, and nothing more. People were weary from the turmoil of war, but life still goes on. Struggling for survival, making do with what they can…it’s not just the knights; everyone is fighting to continue living.
I stayed a distance from General Saga, guarding his back, but never to pass his breathing space. Anyone can tell…the mood was gloomy. Even without our armors, weapons or identities known, we stood out. 2 young men… amidst children no older than 10, females and the elderly, it was only natural. Even those who are not magically adept, most young people would’ve fled such locales for safer places like the capitals, rather than a potential war zone.
Reaching the outskirts of the village… a small plain of tombstones lay. However, Saga walked to the far-end of the plain outside the bordering to a dressing of 3 rock formations, kneeling down in offer of prayer.
“This is…”
“Yes…my adoptive parent’s grave. They themselves were outcast…with no family names, nothing. Despite that, they took me and raised me, and showered me with all they could, even when they were suffering.”
“And that small rock beside?”
“That…will be mine.”
“Saga!”
“I’m sorry, Isdera, but leave me alone for a while. Even if it’s you, I don’t want you to see me like this now.”
~~~
“… I should’ve kept a closer eye on the Princess. I was distracted for a second, and she disappears. How shameful!”
The princess just instantly teleported away with Zafira…Maybe I was too naïve. The princess had been forcing herself taking up the throne of the late queen even when she, by nature is far from a warrior princess, despite her unnatural talent. I understand that she wants to carry out her duty strongly just like any daughter would, but...
Forget it. These kinds of things are not my concern. I believe in the princess, and that is all that matters. Right now, I’ve got to find the prin-
I feel something…familiar. A magical presence that is strangely…twisted, in nature…like a vortex of black as I looked in front of me. I saw him. The knight I once let go in battle, the Sword Knight of Vauxhall, Saleen.
Both of us were silent, gazing at one another. 2 enemy knights meeting like this in a half-neutral zone, what word would be more fitting, fate or irony? Although the princess needs to be found, she has Zafira with her, and without knowing what Saleen is doing here… we both walked slowly, not letting each one out of eye’s view.
Neither spoke, as we eventually reached a hill outside the village. Halfway through the forest plains of the hill, he spoke.
“It’s been a while, Signum.”
“Likewise, Saleen. I never expected to meet you in a place like this though.”
“Same here… You haven’t changed. You still look the same way you did one year ago.”
“You however…have changed. Had I not fought with you before, I wouldn’t have remotely suspected that it was you. Your magical energy…”
“I know. A lot of things happened after our fight. I am not the same man I used to be.”
“Regardless, you understand…right?”
“Of course.”
~~~
Both of us materialized our devices, mine forming the same blade I once used against her, though it was reinforced by Saga, while she…the same as she was before. A blaze red armor knight, along with her chain-blade, Leavantine. I had no armor though due to my Linker Core’s crippled state.
[ Schlangenform! Load Cartridge!]
Her blade, like a burning rattle snake, rips the air with the heat of her fangs, and the sharpness of her claws…However, despite that, the speed of her sword was…a little, almost unnoticeable, but very slightly slower than the speed she once fought against me.
Is she not at her game? Is she underestimating my lowered capabilities? Is she going easy on me?
Don’t fuck around. Just who the hell do you think you’re messing with, Signum!
I held on to Zulfiqar strongly, and with a precise aim at the bend of Leavantine’s chipped snake-blade’s neck, I slashed my blade with perfect timing, with an overhead raw attack, both wild and overbearing, pushing Signum back to a tree with that shock of a blow.
“Just who the hell do you think I am, Signum?”
“I am Isdera Saleen, the Sword Knight of the General you know as Saladin.”
“My blade has lost its luster, and I am a mere shell of my former self…”
“But the fact that I am the greatest swordsman under Saladin, has. not. changed.”
Signum looked at me, and smiled. The flames I repelled from her earlier attack…has now spread over to the forest, slowly turning the forest into a hellfire.
This is going to be a long fight.
~~~
I looked at their graves and pondered. War… how long more will it go on? How long more before I can pursue who I truly am?
“Is that your family’s grave?”
A solemn, voice, quiet with a sense of demeanor awakened me from my thoughts. I turned around…and saw a beautiful young woman, with silver hair and crimson red eyes.
I didn’t know then…that meeting would shake the fates of young ones…generations…aeons to come.
No one could’ve possibly known.
P.S There was a blue wolf by the young woman's side too, but who cares. :P
The next part may be a little slow, since I'm a total loser at doing the "meeting of fates" kind of thing, unless it involves ANGST, and cheesy stuff that no one uses in real life.
Good work! I await the result of the battle with anticipation! It won't be a long wait in comparison to some fanfic chapters I've waited on....

Things got much worse once a bunch of new aces joined the bunch, and along with his desk job, the stress accumulated both ways.

The character Skane is making a very good first impression on me. It's not that often we find a character that can rile up an evil scientist n_n. I wonder if he would play any sort of major plot in this OC storyline we kinda have. A very mysterious and maniupulative villian, one who works in the shadows and can manage to piss off both heroes and the people who need a little 'nudge' in his direction. Kukuku, I like that : P His army will die in like 10 seconds though, probably to our zoo of massively overpowered beamspamming characters : P
Too bad Krystal would probably be 'persuaded' in like 12 seconds, she's really naive in that sort of thing. Her weakness is that she's too easily manipulated. : (
I just realized that Krystal is relatively strong against Nanoha's Starlight Breaker. Since her gloves suck up residual magic, there's not going to be that much left for SLB. Of course, Nanoha has a kazillion other ways of 'making friends', but that's one she can't use n_n. *brickedmanytimes*
So we got another one interested in Nanoha's abilities huh? Like how you outlined the comparison with RH and AO.
And that battle was downright awesome, nice

Spoiler for Part 3.5 : Meeting:
~Part III Verse 5 : Meeting of Fates~
~~~
“… I should’ve kept a closer eye on the Princess. I was distracted for a second, and she disappears. How shameful!”
The princess just instantly teleported away with Zafira…Maybe I was too naïve. The princess had been forcing herself taking up the throne of the late queen even when she, by nature is far from a warrior princess, despite her unnatural talent. I understand that she wants to carry out her duty strongly just like any daughter would, but...
Forget it. These kinds of things are not my concern. I believe in the princess, and that is all that matters. Right now, I’ve got to find the prin-
I feel something…familiar. A magical presence that is strangely…twisted, in nature…like a vortex of black as I looked in front of me. I saw him. The knight I once let go in battle, the Sword Knight of Vauxhall, Saleen.
Both of us were silent, gazing at one another. 2 enemy knights meeting like this in a half-neutral zone, what word would be more fitting, fate or irony? Although the princess needs to be found, she has Zafira with her, and without knowing what Saleen is doing here… we both walked slowly, not letting each one out of eye’s view.
Neither spoke, as we eventually reached a hill outside the village. Halfway through the forest plains of the hill, he spoke.
“It’s been a while, Signum.”
“Likewise, Saleen. I never expected to meet you in a place like this though.”
“Same here… You haven’t changed. You still look the same way you did one year ago.”
“You however…have changed. Had I not fought with you before, I wouldn’t have remotely suspected that it was you. Your magical energy…”
“I know. A lot of things happened after our fight. I am not the same man I used to be.”
“Regardless, you understand…right?”
“Of course.”
~~~
~~~
I looked at their graves and pondered. War… how long more will it go on? How long more before I can pursue who I truly am?
“Is that your family’s grave?”
A solemn, voice, quiet with a sense of demeanor awakened me from my thoughts. I turned around…and saw a beautiful young woman, with silver hair and crimson red eyes.
I didn’t know then…that meeting would shake the fates of young ones…generations…aeons to come.
No one could’ve possibly known.
P.S There was a blue wolf by the young woman's side too, but who cares. :P
The next part may be a little slow, since I'm a total loser at doing the "meeting of fates" kind of thing, unless it involves ANGST, and cheesy stuff that no one uses in real life.
Signum vs Isdera!!! Most delectable writing there, Isdera's lines remind me of Lord Kamina though... Saga is quite morbid though isn't he, saying stuff like that?
I pity you Zafira
Affiliation: TSABS Silvana Mascot Device: None in AlternateS I, Gains the "Clear Will Crystal" in Otome Daisen from Garderobe Academy. Device Type: Otome Meister-Rank GEM. Description: The "Clear Will Crystal" is one of the new Meister Rank GEMs that was created at the now bureau-affiliated academy, intended to be used as an experimental tool for testing the X-type nanomachines. But the sudden emergence of the Neo-Schwarz has halted things once again. Fortunately, CC had brought the issue up while the child was under the care of Natsuki Kruger, while her mother Minerva went to fight. Since the battle was near Wind city, the effects of it were felt at the academy. While the adults- namely the academy administration, dicussed the X-type, the child butted in, suggesting that they test the machines on her. they reluctantly agreed, after CC's prodding. It was a sucess, giving her a weapon, a robe-type barrier jacket and even accelerating her age by ten years- permanently.
History:
Fist seen being introduced in AlternateS- in front of Chrono, Chacha's the source of pride and joy for the often weary crew- her simply being a child was enough for even the most irate of crew members to soften up and tone down. But something sad lies behind her 'birth', and only Kyla knows. Chacha was created from a data crystal that Minerva had as a memento of the time long before- when she was still serving in her former military unit. The crystal came from someone called "Vincent", who her mother had a liking to- who is in fact her father, since the data contained in the crystal was that of Vincent's as well. Minerva had once a depression spell, and Kyla, out of mercy, copied the data of the crystal and combined it with Minerva's own, resutling in Chacha's cheerful yet determined nature. During the AlternateS arc, she served as an emotional anchor to her mother, when she got depressed over thier inability to look for Vincent- now identifed as another AI of a ship similar to the Silvana.
Then when Vincent was recovered, she was shy of him at first, but then warmed up to him. And during the time when Kha was 'dead', she was instrumental in finding his spirit and soon after his return and the forging of the first Neo velka device, took care of the AI that resided inside the silver cross, often asking the cleric if she can wear the cross as so to check on her "little sister". but when Sakura's pesonality tuned in, Chacha found herself dealing with a pesky little sister- making her scold her each time almost.
During a reunion mission of the Silvana and the Aces, during one of the most intense battles, Chacha was left in the care of Planet Earl's Five Pillars, namely under Garderobe principal Natsuki Kruger, since Minerva had told the child that staying on the ship was now far too risky. Then during a heated discussion about the 'banned' X-type nanomachines, the child cuts in and even yelled to them that she wanted to fight, since she wanted to see all of them happy- they reluctantly allowed the child's request- and thus, she acquired the Clear Will Crystal.
She was last seen monitoring events outside Hotel Augusta during Yuuno's funtion attendance- as ordered by his mother-CO- under cloak.
Holy... I told you you can make profiles for battleships as well, Minerva remind me of several episodes in Andromeda about lost ships It has quite an impressive weapons array, and fighters? I'd so love to design them
"Iron Curtain"? Does that work the way I think it does?
And Chacha has so many Mai Hime references. Most awesome on her profile there though
A long time ago, a young mage accidentally stumbled across a young Terran girl.
*snip*
Then, from stress of training one extremely talented girl became twice as large, and thrice as he suddenly became the barrier man of the overpowered girls.
Things got much worse once a bunch of new aces joined the bunch, and along with his desk job, the stress accumulated both ways.
The continous stress accumulated from sustaining the barrier to protect the practice room caused his reaction time to be weakened, and got a energy rebound from the damage.
The damage was so severe it was thought Yuuno could never wake up again, much less walk.
And now, he realized that why the job position of Practice Room Maintainer gets a pretty nifty retirement fund...and no one lasted for more than 2 years.
And you think Yuuno had it EASY... and glad he stayed in the Infinite Library
Although his experiences prove his connection with Nanoha via the red string of fate
Spoiler for Getting owned is embarrassing or Tais/Ginga interaction:
~Log Number #263 : Embarrassment at the 108th~
By Yui
This has got to be the most shameful and embarrassing day of my admittedly short life. It started off normally like most days, Tais woke up early, done his personnel hygiene rituals and went for his usual morning exercises and after finishing, he would go get some breakfast at the 108th's mess hall. This morning however was a little different as he met his crush Ginga Nakajima who was also exercising and it all started to go wrong from here.
*Yui plays an audio file*
Tais: Na... Nakajima-sama! Good morning. Wow, she is so pretty....
Ginga: Oh! Hello Tais and thank you for the compliment.
Tais: Compliment?
Yui: Don't mind him miss Nakajima, he's always thinking out loud without realizing it. By the way, my name is Yui and I'm the AI assigned to this silly boy.
(Note: Yui is current hanging on a chain outside Tais's cloths)
Ginga: Hello Yui and Tais, you don't have to call me Nakajima-sama. Ginga-san will do fine
Tais: Err... ok Gin Ginga-san. Hmm... but the book....:mutters:
Ginga: Book?
Yui: Tais borrowed a book from the Infinite library recently called "Common practices of Earth" in order to try to fit in better. The head librarian there personally handed him this book.
Ginga: I'm sure he'll fit in well. Also, is it okay for me to see what you can do Yui? I'm curious to see what the scientists at the Central Science & Development Bureau have come up with.
Tais: Of .. of course its ok, we'll be happy to show you.
*Pause audio file*
At this point I wanted to disagree. Whether is it because I sense something is about to go wrong or I'm pissed that she automatically assumed that the stupid butt ugly piece of armour is part of me, can be debated.
Tais immediately activated the armour before I could protest and started rattling off the details about the armour's capabilities and construction. When he go to the magagumo pack mounted to the armour, things went.... fubar for lack of a better term.
*Resume audio file*
Tais: And this, is the magagumo wizard pack which expands my capablities.
Ginga: What does it do?
Tais: I'll show you :activates the pack:
Tais: Neat huh?
Ginga: EEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!! TENTACLE MONSTER!!!!
*Stop audio file*
This was shocking to say the least. Ginga, at this point, put on her Revolver Knuckle and uppercut Tais, releasing a revolver shot at the point of impact in under 2 secs. As neither Tais or I have expected the attack, she knocked Tais out with that one attack. I made an horrible mistake next. I took control of the tentacles hoping to use them to bring Tais to the medical centre. Ginga just saw the tentacles moving and ... I'm not too sure what she did. It seems like she managed to knocked me out too however improbable it sounds.
If I were to make a guess, I would say she knocked us back into the air and piledrivered us into the ground, burying us to the knees. That is the most likely event as I overheard the doctors saying that they found us driven straight into into the ground with Tais's knees to his feet being the only parts visible above ground.
This is most mortifying as the armour and furture AIs based on me are suppose to be standard equipment in the future and we were taken out so quickly and embarrassingly. Hmm... perhaps I should send in a request for permission to construct a solid holographic body to prevent further such incidents. ~End log~
@Nightengale: LOL I like your *Chronicles of Yuuno*
PS how do you add a quote when using the edit post function?
Oh God... Ginga and Tentacles....
And Ginga finally using Revolver Knuckle = WIN AND GOLD
Poor Tais though... he's not gonna have a chance at Ginga for the next few months
On adding quotes, you can just select the text, then click on the quote button on the edit menu (The yellow speech bubble). To add a name of the quoted person, just write in their name in the first tag via this format:
Alright... One more post before Part III of the epilogue. But I need to clear out more juicy character interaction, so without further ado here's Glock's Profile: Epilogue Part 2.5, featuring Kay and Artei:
Asuka: GET HIM!!! GET HIM GOOD!!!!! Kay: POSSESSION MODE FULL DRIVE!!!!!
Artei: *looks behind him* Hey Glock! Kay: *shocked* Wha … Asuka: What the hell Kay?!?!?! DON’T!!!
Artei: Ehem... HENMA, DORYUSEN!!!!
*knocks out Kay unto a stone wall*
Artei: You really have it baad don’t you Oba-san? Kay: *standing up, supporting herself on the wall*
Maybe I do. After everything I’ve just realized today, I can accept that fact.
Artei: Damn, and I thought I could get a camera-worthy reaction out of you! Kay: No chance Dice. Shinji: You’re alright as far as I can see Kay. But… never realized you to say that. Rey: So did I. Asuka: And I was just about to beat the living daylights out of Oji-san here. Artei: How nice of you to call me that Chibi-Neko-tan. Asuka: Kisama daro… Artei: And you’re getting sloppy Kay. Your usual security perimeter seems to be “unmanned” at the moment. Shinji: Sorry Kay, my fault.
Kay: Doesn’t matter Shinji. Alright Art. I didn’t exactly like you the first time, and I’m not gonna change that now. Artei: Because you prefer Glock right? Kay: … baka.
Since I don’t have time for flirts like you I’ll just have two questions for you. What’s your purpose here and…
*points Galatea at Artei*
… How long you’ve been listening?
Artei: Okay sweets. For first question, I was here looking for your hubby, 2nd Lieutenant Glock Heckler. We needed to find his whereabouts.
Kay: You’re not gonna find him here then… he just left for TSAB Central for possible reassignment.
And he’s not my hubby.
Artei: I’m so gonna coax a worthwhile reaction from you someday. You’re even slippier than Kha. Kay: You’re welcome to try. And for my second question? Artei: Righto. I’ve been listening long enough to determine that you’re part of our investigation as well. Kay: Investigation? Hah. If it’s relating to these Belkan artifacts, I can assure you the Saint Church will find nothing of importance here. Artei: Oh your artifacts are not under the spotlight… unless you have something interesting hidden away here. But no, that’s not it. We need to ask Glock about his device, Sofia. Seems that little device has a unique history that’s linked to our investigations. Kay: It’s a personal upgrade, nothing more. Happy now? Artei: Don’t lie to me Doc. After hearing your audio log I can tell that you know more than you give yourself credit for. And I’m gonna go on a hunch here, might jog your memory.
Invincible black skeleton-like machines ring a bell?
Kay: *drops Galatea* What… Asuka: Ow! Don’t drop me like that Kay! Shinij: Not them! Rey: Indeed. Kay: What does the Saint Church know of this matter? Answer me! Artei: Slow down missy, I’m the investigator here. And you know us the 21st; we like running into trouble. Kay: *glares* Artei: Right then.
The Saint Church sent us to investigate one of our Churches in the 178th that we believed to be “tainted”, with the senior Confessor up to his neck in some… dubious activities. We never expected to run into these machines that can’t seem to stay dead, persistent little buggers.
Kay: The 178th… J-99 spatial area, Spinward territory isn’t it? It would make sense… we encountered those machines during an expedition on the 197th. And Glock had run into them even earlier. Artei: That’s why I’m here. Miss Carim has no intention of informing the TSAB of these latest appearances, asides from those already informed. For now, it’s a matter for the Church alone. But with Glocky having a much stronger link with these things than most of the others who’ve encountered them, I’m thinking of letting him in on this. His experiences would be of great use to our investigation.
And with you apparently knowing as much as he does, I’m letting you in as well.
Kay: I’ve no intention of helping you out. Surely the 21st got out of there well enough? Artei: But of course! No shiny undead machines are gonna take us down! Kay: Then you already have sufficient firepower to deal with these things! So why ask us for help? Artei: We have nothing on these things except our encounters with them. Your audio logs sure contain a wealth of info on these things, it’d be a great help. Kay: Those logs are personal information… I can’t let you take them. Artei: If you’re so worried about revealing your love life that much, Shindig here can do some hax right? Shinji: … erh, I can. Artei: Then it’s settled then! Kay: No it’s not! Artei: C’mon missy, it’ll be fun! Besides, you’ll get to work with your hubby Glock again. Kay: I…
*sighs*
Damn you Art…
Artei: You’re welcome. Why don’t we go see Glocky shall we? I can analyze the rest of what you have in the Carryall.
*radio static*
Pilot, get ready to get outta here!!
Pilot: *through radio* Acknowledged. Kay: You wait for us outside you got that? It’ll take me a while to get ready. Artei: I know I know… women.
Hehehe. I'm waiting for the anime to reveal those. For now I have a few ideas, but I'll leave it open until I learn more. As others have said before, maybe canon will slap me in the face a bit, but I dont mind, as I'm aiming for an alternative universe fiction anwyay.
I don't really see canon hurting your story much so far. Your girls may as well be different from StrikerS' girls in tubes and after leaving the Doc they just didn't happen to participate in StrikerS' events. Also if you come up with some hidden plan for the Doc and it'll appear different in StrikerS yours could live on after his defeat as his legacy or something like that.
I've noticed some arguable points in the story when I already posted it but as long as there isn't anyone pointing them out I'd rather not edit the post every time I find a better wording etc.
With a difference that he's not interested in Nanoha's abilities (EDIT: my-my, I knew I forgot to mention something important when I finished first Act, good that it's still OK to do it in second; it'd make the situation clearer from the beginning though) Also when I designed AO for Serge I didn't think of connections with RH and only came up with it later and it seemed to work
I'll probably be able to finish the second act by the next weekend only, not much free time and I must think of the best way for Serge to get well-deserved punishment (or not get any, the rumors of him being defeated mentioned in his Profile are rumors after all ).
Thanks for comments
Holy... I told you you can make profiles for battleships as well, Minerva remind me of several episodes in Andromeda about lost ships It has quite an impressive weapons array, and fighters? I'd so love to design them
"Iron Curtain"? Does that work the way I think it does?
And Chacha has so many Mai Hime references. Most awesome on her profile there though
A nurse? Would you be willing to do a profile on her too?
- Yes... and she has a ton of ***dam references as well.
- some of the fighters are off the shelves of other worlds... just find which shelves they come from.
- YES... though i can easily tweak that to become an uber shield.
- Otome precisely... since the part about the gemstone is to be applied (supposedly) to one of kha's projects.
- somehow... i get the "Ginga + tentacles" kind of relation... ec*smack*
Yes! Finally managed to read to the last post. Can't believe how many corpse runs i had to do to reach this point. I think i need better armour and block rating.
Considering this is a thread filled with mages, and magic ignores armor, I think it's a better idea to stack up on + Bluecheesium resist instead.
