Series with 30-minute duration ? The premise is very interesting, reminds me of Kiseijuu.
I hope this will be good. Who is writing the story ? Hiromu Kumaomoto ? Well, I think Yami Shibai Season 2 isn't very good, compared to first season. I don't really know if this related, but from what I read in ANN, the second season has two script writers and different director from previous season. But I hope this time, whoever writes the story could bring the full potential of suspense and mystery genre. For the director, I think Tomoya Takashima is a good choice, he directed the first episode in Yami Shibai, which is (probably) the best episode in Yami Shibai (as far as I remember). The character designers looks like novice in anime industry...but I think it's not a bad idea to hire more than one character designer in this kind of story. Each of them can focus on their own job (designing the human designs, and monster designs). |

So it's 10-minute anime... The other anime that will run during the "Ultra Super Anime Time" programming block include the second season of Miss Monochrome, the Wooser no Sono Higurashi Mugen-hen anime, the Wakaba Girl anime, and an unnamed new project from Hiroyuki Imaishi (Kill la Kill) and Studio Trigger. Miss Monochrome, Wakaba Girls, and Woose slated for Summer. I wonder the other two title for Fall... That new project from Imaishi ? |

Unusual animation style.
It contributes to the dramatic effect, but it's also annoying. Looks pretty intersting, but just can't get over the way it looks. Guess I'm too used to generic animation style. This is definitely something different. Skipping it.

Hmmm.....the animation style's definitely an acquired taste, to say the least. There were some nice touches, like the view of the model of the dinosaur from below the water plus the ripples when the monster began walking towards them. I like monsters and some of them shown on ads and promo stuff look pretty wild, so I'm in.
I'm guessing Banba was attacked by a monster and shares a connection with them, hence the scar throbbing. |

I'd say Godzilla but it looks pretty generic to me.
The climber was lucky she didn't freeze to death. The monster designs currently shown so far are good, but I've seen more impressive designs on ads for this show, so I'm looking forward to them showing up. |

I'm assuming that these'll be self-containing stories since each episode will set Professor Banba investigating a cryptid attack.
To those who wander in TV Tropes, I made the article on it with the character page. It needs to be updated...

I would also prefer a different type of animation, but since this is an horror anime with just 7 minutes per episode, i can tolerate it! Even the animation is creepy xD
Let's hope they will explore how all these monsters are connected. Third episode had a nice twist in the end discovering that those sea creatures were once humans.. probably. I will keep following! |

Probably the creepiest episode yet. This episode only reinforces my theory that Banba was attacked and shares a connection with the monsters. I think people who're attacked by monsters get "infected" and can turn into monsters, just like the girl in this episode. I think this series is legit.
