Ah, but this is the thread for AnimeSuki fads, not 4chan fads. They are a different culture. Thank goodness.

No, 4chan mostly assimilates meme's that already exist around the web. The ones that have started in /b/ are very rarely picked up by the rest of the internet. Fortunatly most of the mods here keep these boards nice and clean of those stupid ones. And yes, asuki could probably never start a meme for various reasons.

The Shuffle! fanclubs and sigs were a lot more prevalent then the Haruhi stuff, or at least that's how I remember it. Sigs stand out more then avatars though, so it could've made more of an impression on me because of that.
