The Surprise of Suzumiya Haruhi, maybe the 'surprise' in the title comes from the fact that Kyon wakes up to find... EVERYONE GENDER BENT! |

Actually, the Sighs of Haruhi Suzumiya is more like "Sighs of Kyon", you know. Similarly, the "Intrigues" in Intrigues of Haruhi Suzumiya barelly include her. Same thing for Dissociation . It is not clear to me for what the last one refer, but I would bet on Kyon.
'Haruhi Suzumiya' is going to be in the title regardless if it make sense or not. |

Reasons for "Haruhi Suzumiya" being in the title:
a) Haruhi is the name of the fanchise/title b) Tanigawa got lazy and titles his documents by "save as" and changing the title name. c) Haruhi is the prime cause of all of the happenings. d) a and b e) b and c f) a and c g) a, b and c h) None of the above i) All of the above j) I don't got a j k) a, c and e l) I'm just bored. m) f, a, i, and l n) Hey this item 14 in the list, that's new, for me anyways. . . . aa) Hey look, list item aa! Anyways, back to on-topicness. Many titles seem to make more sense when considered from Kyon or other characters. Sighs applies to Kyon but I think if from Haruhi's perspective, the beginning and the lack of interest generated from Kyon or something. Er.... How about that movie? I thought that was amazing that it was announced.

Seeing how I have never bought an anime DVD before, I got a question; will the DVD have subs already included, or will we just be able to view the movie as it is (without any clue what they're saying)?

I'm pretty sure they have subs on them in the US along with Engrish dubbing, but IDK about the ones in Japan. I would say, there are Japanese subs, but not necessarily Engrish subs. The prime audience in Japan is well Japanese. I doubt the producers would bother with adding the sub of a language that doesn't have a large minority of first language users in Japan.
