Oh my god. I'm very surprise, witches actually exist. I thought people were just crazy. From the synopsis, I thought this anime would be boring, but I was wrong. It's addicting. I cannot wait for next episode.

Maria was the one going all crazy saying its the witch, but then she writes a letter asking to help reveal the truth? So does that mean she was possessed?

Uh, part two starts off with them all revived and talking about their deaths and all, does that mean they're in heaven? Or some kinda afterlife?

The witch is right there in plain sight and his friends are dying because he doesn't believe.. does he have no feelings at all?

So in the end everyone but Battler died again? Does that mean hes gonna be revived back into the real world to solve the problem? What about the other three kids? Is this show gonna be about Battler only?

Feel free to spoil me because I want to know the answers really badly.. I can't go to sleep without knowing

I know this is a video game made into an anime but that ended felt Shakespearean where i think its called an aside where the actor talks to the audoes. I just loved that part its the the audoes so invoed!

I'm glad they gave us the premise for the series already, unlike in Higurashi, where the adaptation withheld it until pretty much the second season.

(Also, next episode preview makes me very, very happy, for obvious reasons.)

I quite liked this episode. Battler hit just the right note with his just slightly unhinged insistence on rationality, Maria's disturbing completely lack of note for the murders around her and joy at meeting Beatrice was spot on too.

And with any luck we're only one or two episodes away from my very most favoritest scene.

They are all believed to have died. The children's bodies were never found.

The witch is right there in plain sight and his friends are dying because he doesn't believe.. does he have no feelings at all?

Should he believe? The witch is right there, sure, but she could just be trying to take the credit for what someone else did for her or what someone did trying to use her as a cover for a more earthly motive.

Well Battler's supposed to be a very well built sort of fellow, so it's not strange he can knock a door open that's holed closed by a flimsy candle holder.

What are you saying? He broke the handle and 3 out of four hinges in a single rush....

....and the candle holder fly like 10 m away in the air....

Well done episode. Only complaints from me is beato's voice and fast pacing (I did watch just after I played, so the pacing problem may be something on my side).

Also, the thing with Natsuhi dying probably left people in the dark as to why it happened

It's cause, you know, Battler's just THAT AWESOME. He is partly inspired by Phoenix Wright after all, and Phoenix breaks down doors with his bare hands multiple times in the games. Battler's hair isn't awesomely aerodynamically spiky like Phoenix's though.

I think I'm being generous by giving the episode 7, but after witnessing this 180 turn to the overall atmosphere of the episode compared to the rest of these sorry effort for the overall animation of those previous episodes, I thought == why not? == The story has yet to sell my interest.

Beatrice: Explain the lock.. explain the suicide... explain.....
Battler: Uhm... uhm... uhm..

Battler: I WILL PROVE IT ITS NOT WORK OF MAGIC. BLAH BLAH BLAH....



At this point the only interest in this show is just to observe how things unfold. That's it.

I think Jessica's woman-intuition told her there is a good chance she will fall flat momentarily (and sore later) after such head on impact.
