about e3 if you change the setting like hard to normal do you still need to de buff E3 again ?? or does it stay with you even after you change to difficulty setting

( Very stress out on E 3 hard too many times on sub hit a DD or CA getting Taiha'ed by F#@KING gold sub n the Dysons Taiha my flag ship numerous times FCF is useless )

Well yeah, fuel is always a problem due to the high demand for it in the game, you need it for sorties, repairs, support fleets and LBA and it drains fast. But what is particularly annoying is the devs designing final maps with extremely long routing that leave your fleet with almost no fuel by the time you reach the boss node. That causes your fleet to be absolutely creamed by the Abyssals making it an RNG festival (and with combined fleet feature a very long repair bill). Unless you take Hayasui, whose defining feature - the resupply drums - are currently only available if you pay money, which is absolutely stupid. I got lucky this time by dropping two Hayasuis which means that if I Kai them both I'll get four new drums.

And the fuel difference is decisive. The effect can be seen very well in E4. I went the maelstrom route (because the other route goes through subs which have an annoying tendency to rip up the escort fleet). The maelstrom only affects the first fleet, so the first fleet has one fuel bar less than the second fleet. In my experience I had far more damage suffered to the first fleet kanmusu at node I than the second fleet. And basically every time the first fleet got ripped pretty badly by the boss node while the second fleet had a few surviving. I lost count of the times when I arrived at the boss node with the first fleet completely healthy and exiting it with all six in bad need for repairs. While the second fleet - which has one more bar of fuel - saw three or four healthy going into night battle.

The difference was also felt during the final run with Hayasui's resupply where the first fleet not only survived longer, but also launched some big crits.

Well, it's RNG so there is always a potential for a rather big span. Also, what fleet and loadout did you use throughout your final runs with both fleets?

When I looked this afternoon, the consensus was that you could activate the E-3 gimmick on easy and switch back to hard just fine.

I'm like so done with the event already. I am getting afraid that if I were to farm for anyone come next season (if I can afford slots again) I'll probably go back to being unlucky.

I finished farming for Aquila within 13 runs on E-3-丙 while getting Nimu on the 5th, so I didn't need to return to E-1. Meanwhile after that I splurged on 4 consecutive LSC attempts for dailies and ended up with Taihou on the 4th. Courtesy of Haruna too at that.

Now I only have Shioi and Musashi left from the LSC pool... and that will be whenever slots allow me to have space for them and future intakes.

Edit: i really need to get more slot im running really low on ship slot XD

is was a nightmare when you try to clear it without knowing about the debuff like me XD i clear it without knowing to debuff thing. it gave me alot of cancer and salt but after i've reach E-4 i find it more easier than E-3 XD

It's possible to minimise damage using interceptors on air defence, but that's kind of meaningless with the resulting loss of striking power.

That node with two installations (Node I, I guess?) can be pretty annoying, so I'd recommend node support expeditions.
And the boss is actually a little bit easy, but you should use boss support just to clean the escorts so your girls won't waste shots on the 30-hp destroyers etc. Good luck!

Just put two LBA squadrons on that node. Support fleet wasn't really necessary for 甲 despite occasional aiming screw-ups so I'm pretty sure that it won't be needed for 丙.

Well, I guess you're right. Besides, the support expedition would appear only on two nodes because the rest are aerial nodes and a night battle node...

Did you used boss support, though?

well i just beat that e-3 hard boss. funny is how the 7 attacks prior i got one of my girls hit to red before the boss. this time i went all the way to the boss with S-ranking lol aside from the sub node.

now off to e-4. question i have is does the boss debuff tranfer over from diffrent easy to hard ?
