No, i mean spear us. In the Movie of K-On is it and i need it to translate it in german. But spear us was a sentence that i've never heard bevor, therefore i wanted to know some other words for spear us. Spare us were easy to translate and it would easily make sense, but Ritsu say 'Spear us'. Wahahaha, my brain ...

Sawa-chan-sensei: We're having a meeting next week.
Sawa-chan-sensei: We'll be checking if you've attended classes like you should,
Sawa-chan-sensei: and whether or not you're failing your tests.
Yui: That's such an important meeting!
Yui: S-S-Sawa-chan, we were pretending to be Death Devil just earlier!
Ritsu: The Death Devil is the best band!
Yui: Yeah, Sawa-chan's band is the best!
Yui: So!
Sawa-chan-sensei: So?
Yui: A-A-As a light music club alumnus, could you please...
Ritsu: Spear us?!
Mio: That sounded funny.

Second last Line. I can't imagine what it mean.

It's a word play where Ritsu mispronounced "Spare us". "Spear us" was used for the English fan sub. So, in your case, try doing a word play with the German for "Spare us". It might be hard, but have fun with it.

It's not a fail of translation, more of localization of a mispronunciation of a sentence due to the circumstances.

WTF is that in the background? Is that a Toyota pick-up with a huge 18-wheeler deck and hauling 4 trailers?

My guess

The Toyota was on the shoulder of the road, while the 18-wheel trailer were completely outside of the road, separated by the white-red line thing. You simply can't see the front of the 18-wheel trailer truck because it's outside of the frame to the right

Something like
-----------TRAILER--------
-------CAR-----------------
-----------------------------
-----------------------------
-------camera---------

Negative sir. The red/white you're seeing is actually on the side of the trailer itself to make the edges of the trailer more visible to other drivers. Also, although we can't really see the make of the silver crew cab (crew cab meaning "A truck with four doors"), I'm pretty sure that's a Ford F-350 (Chevy and Dodge make similar models), and it really is towing that trailer full of trailers. The bed is removed from the crew cab to facilitate the flat trailer. I actually see a lot of these around So Cal, usually towing two or three cars on a car trailer.

However, looking at the uniforms of the rescue workers, I'm fairly certain this is not in the States.

Does anyone know how to deal with "agree to disagree" in a nice way?

Although I have been using that from time-to-time in order to defuse tensions, there are some people who are irritating me with that same "I understand, however......" then making away with irrelevant and diversionary replies. The most recent blow-up I had was :

Someone : I understand, however.....
Me : If you do understand, what is that "however" there for? I am asking you for a reason for your disagreement, not your fence-sitting opinion on this issue because I want to hear the logic from the other side.
Someone : I agree, though.....
Me : Do you agree or disagree? What is your reason?
Someone : You don't get me, I am not disagreeing with you.....
Me : I do! You are giving a false compromise now, aren't you?
Someone : *sighs and walks off*

"Agree to disagree" is to be used within the same topic, and the post "however" script is supposed to be as offensive, just that the aggressive tone is reduced with "I understand"; it is not supposed to divert attention because the entire sentence is suppose to address the same fucking issue.

As much as I would like to compliment these people for their nice intentions, their lack of ability to address the current topic with logic irritates me. Should I be a nicer person, or should I just take apart their argument ruthlessly as I do in the past?

"agree to disagree" is a nice way of saying "I've decided I won't try to kill you today"

That you've made the decision further energy is wasted trying to move someone's opinion...

Example: some relatives in my family have ideological positions unmoved by any evidence to the contrary. I can keep sliding evidence in front of them or move on to more productive activities. In a way, to me it says I no longer care so much about them - sadly, to them they think they've won the argument... by virtue of being obstinate without evidence.

The problem is, they are using it on the basis of "I am not arguing with you, but you are doing it my way because I am right, and I have no need to give you a reason".

A typical person would have just swept it off at work for the sake of money, though some simply just don't get it into their heads that there are a few who still care about work as their personal responsibility - especially when it involves entry-requirement enforcement and/or sizeable sums of money.

Nonetheless, it is still quite amazing that people are willing to lose money for the sake of an easier way to earn money.

When you're right and have a good understanding of what you're right about (the second part is the important part) then you usually say it once, and not give a damn afterwards.

In your example the problem is not in you expressing your views but in the fact you're talking to a guy who's not listening! Well it's not like it's necesarily their fault, it may very well be your fault for using the wrong words, premise, examples, etc or just starting the entire conversation on the wrong foot (un-sourced, flamy, insulting etc). Or it could be nobody's fault; yeah in a stupid conversation there is no guarantee there is a "smart" one among the parties involved—most often everyone is dumb, in their own "original" way of course.

From a technical point of view, should you find yourself in the anything-you-can-say-I-can-say-better loop the way to exit it is simple: stop, ignore, forget. So they have an opinion, replied to you, "countered" your clearly flawless arguments, and are a fellow human being... yeah well who cares, fuck them!

During arguments with a friend ( no anger involvement) I simply say this line with a smile..

" Since , it seems we will not agree with (the topic), we just keep our own beliefs for ourselves. its useless to argue if one of us has already made he's/ her's stand on the subject. Its better not discuss it between us."

That solves things... with a draw.

Question : Why in certain Asian cultures, incest is legal, while in others, it isn't? And which ones are those that allow legal incest? I know the Chinese are half-half on that.

Consensual incest between brother and sister is frowned on, but not prohibited in France.
It has been legal there since the time of Napoleon, but still you can't marry your sister.
It is similar in Japan, legal between consenting adults but not legal for incestuous marriages, in Japan, the Civil Code of Japan restricts marriages of its members, but incest is not a crime The incest law was abolished there in 1881 and they also can have children.
Sweden is the only country in Europe which allows marriage between siblings who share one parent.
They have recently been silently dropping anti-incest laws in other countries too. It is still technically illegal in lots of countries, but police in most countries will now turn a blind eye to it unless someone makes a complaint.
Most police will leave happy couples alone these days.

Is it incest if it's between cousins ?

That's because the definition of "incest" varies. There are those with strict laws such as ROK, which dictates that marriages to relatives up to eighth cousins and people with same last names of the same region (for example, Geongju Kim) are considered incest and thus would actually be a crime.
