Though I can't remember who the translator was but thank god for an update. Vol 08 is surely slowly but surely getting translated.

Kira who was the translator again? in the register page it still says Hikari and their is still no one listed in active translator. But I'm sure I read in FB BT that someone is translating it but I can't remember it if no he/she doesn't add his/her name on active or registered part on HnA.

if I'm not busy with my thesis I would finish doing this one. Though I think Kira's summary is more accurate in some part but left other parts but still better than when I did it.

Well it is quite hard to do without a Chinese translation.......BUT after digging around the web while I was bored in Chinese class(surprised I can even navigate in depth in all Chinese), I found a complete and what I think is a pretty good Chinese translation for Volume 12. So if no one will do a summary than I'll do it, will be up by the weekend if that is the case because of busy college work. Monday at the very latest.

Where did we leave off? Start of CH5? If anyone else is willing to do it and will have it up faster than me than please let me know ahead of time.

The only HnA Images I have is Vol5 and Vol8, but after someone told me BakaTsuki still have the images if I take the time to go and save them I think I should be fine. Now I just have to go do it and not procrastinate

This is in order. I did a very rough translation at first just get use to the text for a bit, then when into "summary mode" for the other half but kept the dialogue since it was dialogue heavy and I liked the scene, it so SO CUTE! Probably a few errors in here but should be good enough for the most part. This was definitely too much for a summary, definitely going to SUPER shorten it for the next chapter, probably something like Kira's summary maybe a bit more but around there. Kind of depends if I like the scene. I also might have to push the deadline back a day or two or three..... or force kira to do it , forgot how fricken long HnA chapters are and the chinese translations were not as good as I thought. I see why no one else wanted the job but this scene is so cute I just couldn't resist lol.

Spoiler for Vol12 rough translation part of CH4 :

The me in hysteria mode, who was alone with the seemingly continuously maturing Kikuyo, suddenly became embarrassed.

Listen to me, looking down by my side, Kikuyo had an “Ooo-it’s this one it’s this one!” sort of extreme happiness. Subsequently her whole face was filled with joy.

“Ah so it’s like that. No wonder you hair color is so bright. However, during middle school I never you mention this to anyone before.”

“Other than you, I have never brought up my parents to anyone before.”

Kikuyo face reddened as she spoke and reached for lychee fruits(荔枝).

(However…umm…this feast, I should probably eat as well)

For the average person, seeing a violent gang eating a meal would become a problem but the two Butei still spoke as such.

Even though this was beyond the actual case itself, my Butei license still wouldn’t lose its effectiveness…plus there was the experience of being painfully punished by grandpa whenever food was being wasted. I extended my chopsticks to pick up some shark fin.

Ahh…this is incredibly delicious. Needless to say the chef’s skill was very good and the ingredients were of the highest quality. Although there was no poison inside, after having tasted this delicious flavor, the effect on the body could be described as being poisoned.

“----Then, let me first compensate you for what you did earlier. This should be enough right?”

Kikuyo took out and opened a suitcase as she spoke. She took out a stack of around three million banknotes from inside the suitcase.

“There is no need, just this meal is enough.”

Although I really wanted to take one or two notes from inside, I should probably still decline the offer.

Luxury cars, luxury restaurants, as well as cash---to the mafia, providing these kinds of things is like paying a publicity fee.

This type of method was used to display one’s own vast grandeur in place of a magnificent billboard that couldn’t be displayed. Using the leader’s underlings, it was used to show all walks of life that a person’s business was operating without a hitch.

“Doesn’t the most recent Yakuza try to keep their true talent hidden as much as possible?”

I slightly ridiculed while eating Beijing duck.

“That’s because we are very conservative.”

Kikuyo’s gaze seemed to be hiding something…she brushed this topic aside.

She looked like she wouldn’t let someone go unless they finished a plate. While passing the time, she appeared a bit tentative perhaps.

“Kikuyo, what are you doing here right now?”

“Haha, this, what am I doing huh. Drugs, protection money, collecting money
from loan sharks…these activities have been ceased from our group. We probably only take advantage of the holidays to set up vendor stalls.”

“Quit deceiving me. I at least want to know where you got the money for the things I’m eating.”

Seeing me unhappy, Kikuyo reached out to pour oolong tea into my cup…using an “I’m telling the truth” tone, she said,

“China.”

I see…this Chinese restaurant has received the other’s influence.

Also, this point seemed to be the real question.

“On the aspect of cooperation with foreign countries within the industry, there is a conservative faction and a coexist faction. 镜高组(name of some group) was originally part of the coexist faction because 镜高组 doesn’t have good business like those other big gangs. Also ever since took over…we are pretty much disregarded in this country.”

Well…this isn’t really a surprise. In reality, the mafia isn’t quite like the movies; the society pretty much consisted of males only. Seeing the cadre just then, I just knew that this gang didn’t have the talent of a Big Brother style (I think this is a gang term and not an actual older brother but I’m not positive), that’s why they were helpless----they approved Kikuyo to inherit the position of gang leader.

“Did you know? Foreigners welcome Japanese products, not just cars and animation. The Yakuza is the same. The mafias of various countries are all very accepting of us.”

This I also knew.

Because on the international stage, a mafia’s financial strength was the equivalent to power.

Also the Japanese Yakuza, no matter what you say they still possessed a great amount of valuable Japanese yen.

“In order to quickly reverse the situation, we partnered up with a large organization in China. The money we have now was earned from investing in the
casinos in Macau, definitely legal means. Don’t worry about it and eat ok?”
Kikuyo, who expressed this multinational industrialist group-like method, lovingly looked at me while she spoke.

“Who did you partner up with? I know a few of the Chinese mafias’ names.”

“They are a very strong militant faction. I feel you would like them too Tohyama. How about you meet them once? Right now the organizations based in China have arrived in Japan. Besides that, there seems to be a huge struggle over there, wanting to become friends with a superhuman like you.”

Kikuyo would push aside the group’s name. She was probably looking out for the Chinese side.

So it seems that side is a considerable organization. Absolutely cannot break the relationship.

“Forget about it then. I can’t speak Chinese plus I’m not a superhuman.”

“I’m well aware, you want to conceal it but it’s no use. After all is said and done, in order to mix with the mafia you need to rely on momentum. We also wish to have someone strong.”

“You are…trying to convince to me join your group?”

“Yes. We will drink wine to make a pledge.”

Seeing her say that so nonchalantly…I could only force a smile.

“I have a sister.”

“You have a sister? Is she a Butei?”

“Yes. I only recently found out.”

“Then bring your sister along with you. The mafia is missing talented people, we
only partly use Buteis. The self defense department and the police also add
organizations without restriction; the cadre conference will definitely pass the notion through.”

“C-Cadre conference…”

“If it’s Tohyama, you will definitely be the number one in Japan, no, the number one head of the Yakuza. Like Al Capone, you will be etched in history. Until then,
I, will then, become your wife…J-Just joking.”

She said she was just joking, but Kikuyo’s gaze looked quite serious as she looked towards me. Although she suppressed her own words, it would probably be best to make a definite refusal.

“I won’t become a Yakuza.”

Right now in order to become an ordinary person, I am desperately going through special training. And now you want me to become a historical celebrity in the mafia…please spare me ok? That is too absurd.

“I-Is that so…that’s a shame. 猴老师(猴 teacher) will also be disappointed…”

Kikuyo…seemed to give away something, it appears she spat out a person’s name

She seemed to realize her own mistake, add my refusal to join with that, Kikuyo…since then she never brought up that topic again.

Without letting me finish speaking, Kikuyo who anticipated that I wanted “say goodbye first” ahead of time, was unlike before when she was talking about business. A girl like appearance suitable of her age appeared and she lightly said “---do you still remember the past?”, turning the subject into remembering past times.

I was still in Hysteria Mode; this problem had no way of being fixed. I’m also afraid that Kikuyo raised this subject because she knows.

Clearly unable to resist at the moment, I poured some warm jasmine tea into a cup.

“Uh huh…I still remember.”

“During middle school I sensed your physique…with the use of many methods, could force you to do many things. I’m sorry. However, could this be…already too late…?”

Pretty much right after that she lifted her miniskirt for a bit cross her legs pretending to be restless, which of course Kinji saw and his hysteria mode strengthened. Due to the elevation of he legs, he kind of saw "it". He then closed his eyes to try and recall the past as an attempt to calm himself.

He recalls that they were both Butei in middle school. Kikuyo was like the most beautiful there, earning the admiration of the boys but in return she was rejected by the girls. He notes that even though Butei school is set up to cultivate future Buteis, cultivating someone like Kikuyo who has ties to the criminal world has alot of benefits. However this doesn't apply to the Yakuza who are a thorn to the side of Butei. Her father was a Yakuza and because of that she was bullied by the other girls.
「I also remember very clearly. When the other girls cut open my swimming suit，Tohyama avenged me」
「I also remember」
Recalls a story where Kikuyo's swimming suit was tampered by the other girls. After the sinister girls cut a hole and sewed up the hole with water soluable thread, Kikuyo got exposed . Swimming classes were split by gender and she was too afraid to go back to the changing room. Of course Kinji finds her by chance and asks her what's wrong. In the end she calmed down after Hysteria Mode kinji took over. So he got all the girls to apologize to Kikuyo and became know as "a person of justice".
「But then, perhaps you already do not remember but ...... even if you weren't the Tohyama as of now, you would still protect me.」
She blushes.
Kinji doesn't remember.
「When the money was stolen from the classroom drawer。I clearly didn't do it，but was considered the culprit。However at that time……Tohyama you……」

Kikuyo put a little more force on Kinji's arm. Kinji wanted to change the subject, made a comparison how Kikuyo is difficult to deal with like Riko.
「---You still don't understand? Tohyama, I'm threatening you」
As expected from a criminal.
「If I expose your secret there is no way you can go to an ordinary school」
「.....」
She exposed an "I win" kind of smile
「To be honest, I really didn't want to threaten you like this Tohyama. But a person like me will never get someone like Tohyama」(THAT IS SO CUTE!! and a bit sad and a bit devious)
「If you really think that way, it would be better if you wait till you are able to.」(Ouch!)
「This place is really.....Tohyama....」
Kinji gets hugged, his hysteria mode increased in power.
Kinji notes how attractive she is but she had to be very mature because of family reasons. But right she has the behavior of a schoolgirl.
「I really wanted to see you……wanted to see you badly。I consider you my partner of justice。The moment I saw Tohyama through the car window，I really thought it was a miracle……！」
He thinks in his normal mode he would just run away but since he is in hysteria mode he cant otherwise he would hurt a girl's feelings.
「In the car I acted as if nothing happened，b-but my heart really started to race。I-I...could only think of Tohyama……」
Kinji is trying to think of a way not to hurt her feelings. He believe he can definitely accomplish this by talking to her.
「…Well Kikuyo, let me ask you a question.」
「What is it?」
「If we were dating.....Kikuyo, what would you have me do？」
「" Uh ......? This, this ...... ah ... that ... I can not say "」
Kinji thought this was good, to have her blushing and for her to be able to respond completely
「What? Tell me, Kikuyo？Quickly……Kikuyo.」
He does this many times with Aria, by imposing hard to answer questions, the moment someone isnt able to respond it is his win. Basically it was to instill a sense of shame.
「……T-Those kind of things，T-Tohyama, you can decide……I-I wouldn't mind whatever you decide……」
Kinji's mesmerizing method seemed to have work, the embarassed Kikuyo pushed away his question. He thinks the danger is over.

「——Can I say something？Tohyama.」

His back is facing her as he is heading out

This was something Kinji couldn't deny. He felt it was more relaxing than his normal lifestyle.
Kikuyo was still in her scrunched up, head facing down position.
「I won't say anything about the school。But the unconventional Butei can never be compatible with society，always living on the lowest level。Dont worry about high school，come over to me instead。No matter what the conditions are，I will hear you out……」
「I'm sorry I won't enter because people in the criminal world will betray you.」
「Aeren't you the same Tohyama? You betrayed Butei in order to became part of normal society」(lol, wrecked)
She hit the painful truth, as kinji can't deny this.
Just as he was about to leave.
「Do you know？I am very impatient.」
Her voice came from behind. Kinji turns around to see her raise her head and staring at him.
「……I know」
「You know？I will not give up.」
「I know that as well.」
「Plus——I'm actually very devoted to this。This you don't know right?」
「Yes」
「I just noticed it as well.」
Kikuyo then takes out a card from her sleeve and flings it like a shuriken and it gets stuck to the door right in front of Kinji. Knowing it wasnt going to hit him he didnt dodge.
「……？」
The card stuck to the door was a credit card,
「——The password is 1111。Pick up your compensation whenever」
「I already said I didn't need it。Do you know？I don't like a girl who endlessly pesters me.」
「T-Then I wont pester anymore。Tohyama……good night」
Head facing down, she waved at him.

In the end he still had to rely on hysteria mode。
