Ranma 1/2

Episode count per season varies at first...

Season 1 had 18 episodes...
Season 2 had 22 episodes...
Season 3 had 24 episodes...
Season 4 had 24 episodes...
Season 5 had 24 episodes...
Season 6 had 24 episodes...
Season 7 had 24 episodes...
Season 8 had 24 episodes.

I believe that's right. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Everything is right except for the fact that there's no season 8.

No, there's no real definite ending. As with much of Rumiko Takahashi's work...

The Ranma manga had a somewhat decent conclusion at vol 38.
Not sure how the anime ends though.

Am I right is saying that both of us are puzzled how Inuyasha keeps going on and on and on?

No ending, watched everything, ovas, series, movies, and nothing. I had to read the manga to see a one page confession, but seriously the show has no cohesion or plot development, it is like Seinfeld or Family guy, you can go in, watch a few episodes and get the same satisfaction that someone who has seen all the episodes gets.

Heh... You do realized that that female nude is actually a guy.

As for the show, since they are in high school I think it's sort of understandable that there wasn't a wedding or anything to end it.

Anime did just stop all the sudden though.

However, I will say that Ranma 1/2 has generated some of the best fanfiction ever.

I mean... Ill Met By Starlight? Talk about a "keep the lights on at night" thriller. Seeing a slapstick comedy re-interpreted as a horror story, pretty amazing.

Hearts of Ice was pretty epic.

Pastpresent was a great development of the backstory (too bad it's incomplete)

Somke & Mirrors was great for the way it made Kasumi into the heroine.

Man... now I've gotten distracted.

Welcome to the Eighties (well, the anime is mostly from the earlies 90es, but the concept is from the Eighties)
Although it was heavily censured in France if I remember correctly.

Ranma sure as hell did have some good fanfic, though with the sheer volume of them, there were bound to be some gems.
