Except MSG, Z, ZZ, Seed, Seed Destiny, etc. are all considered separate shows, not separate seasons. They are all different TV series, each with 50 or so episodes each, which is not unlike 00, which was planned to be a 50 episode series, and was split into two seasons of 25 due to the situation with Code Geass R2.

I'm dissapointed in 00Q if its just for communication then there is really no need for the sword, the buster sword, or the 00Q variant other than to sell models. Its too badass looking to not fight. Also i'm mad that the rest of the crew didn't really have a good amount of fight scenes specifically for them. I thought the fights scenes was gonna be like the show just with better animation. I'm a action junkie....

The only gundam series to get a sequel tv series immediatly was Zeta Gundam (the most popular gundam series ever) and Gundam Seed (the second most popular gundam series).

Gundam Wing (49 episodes) got a 3 episode OVA, Gundam 00 (50 episodes) got a movie but that's it for sequels.

Turn A Gundam (50 episodes), Mobile Fighter G Gundam (49 episodes), and V Gundam (51 episodes) didn't get anything, while MSG and Gundam X where cancelled due to bad ratings.

Easy there... You are referring to TV ratings, not popularity. Popularity is not measured by TV ratings alone.

Not to mention MSG's reruns had higher TV ratings than Zeta.

I know they are their own shows but zeta and double zeta are pretty much continuations of MSG/the UC storyline and SEED got a sequel. I'm saying I want a 00 sequel even if doesn't have anything to do with Setsuna. I want to see more of the AD century, and when u compare it to UC and CE 00 is short. Hmm you are right I forgot about the other gundam shows. I was just thinking about MSG and its sequels and SEED and its sequel.

In a nutshell, due to the popularity of the first season, CG R2 was approved. Then some producer somewhere had the bright idea to move its timeslot to the Sunday afternoon one that 00 had, from the Thursday late night/early morning one that was planned for it (so that more people could watch it).

So apparently they made a deal with MBS/TBS to push half of 00 down six months so that R2 can air on the timeslot.

And as a result, this move managed to mess up the stories of both R2 (when the whole season had to be rewritten to appeal to "new audiences") and 00 (Season 1's storyline had to be condensed to 25 episodes from the planned 36 eps, and Season 2's story had to be stretched out). Plus R2 turned out to be a TV ratings disaster, and 00 Season Season's ratings slumped as well.

What I was implying was that Gundam shows are generally too long if I didn't get that across. 00 has managed finishing off nicely and any more would ruin the story line (unless like someone said, a series that isn't directly related to the current events of 00). But in that case, that'll be an entirely new show, just based on the universe 00 was created on.

It was the same for Gundam Seed; they ended it well enough but then decided to do Destiny and that wasn't the best of Gundam shows...
