Four year to go yet though.

Flying cars aren't here yet either.

How did a strip club ended up being built in a school district anyway?

But judging from the title, it seems to say that the bus stop is moved by officials of the school district.

Then again, if a child lives there, his mum must have been a stripper - and likely to be one hell of a MILF.

Its called "no zoning" ... urban planning and zoning are mostly considered "communist plots" in the South. Frankly, it was one of the reasons we left Houston back in the 90s... we had just had it with unregulated no zoning and the eyesore disaster to the community it was. So you have this sort of thing on a major street near residences:

autodealer-stripmall-church-junkyard-school-strip bar-a few homes-autodealer-autodealer (repeat ad nauseum).

... and so on. Houston also has a "rotten rings" problem - as the inner circles rot, it just builds a new circle rather than fix up the old circle... like cancer.

Any time someone rails against urban planning or zoning, I invite them to visit Houston. Such a chaos only benefits *developers* who take the money and leave town for somewhere nice.

Chinese Apartments Explode En Masse

"The better part of a Chinese apartment complex has been menaced by explosions,
after a power surge caused most of the electronics at the site to explode at once.

The incident reportedly unfolded in the Chinese metropolis of Chongqing, where a
mixed commercial apartment complex housing some 100 tenants saw scores of
residents afflicted by exploding electronics."

How the fuck did urban planning became a communist plot? If there is no urban planning, how smart is it to build a warehouse so far away from a factory that it costs the operator unnecessary payment to transport his materials to generate goods?

Urban planning is supposed to be a CAPITALIST plot because it takes into account COST SAVINGS. Randomly building stuff across the country regardless of inconvenience is then a COMMUNIST plot because "no matter how long the road it takes to go to work, it is always short because Comrade so-and-so is also doing the same. And we are all working for the motherland."

Wait, so are the Apollo 13 astronauts referring to their lander, their state, or both?

Its the uniquely US American fantasy that a person can do whatever they want with their property regardless of the effects on other property owners in the community or the effects on the roads, water supplies, infrastructure, etc. Yes, its utterly deranged with no actual basis in history but as you can see from our current political quandaries - a fair part of the US *is* simply delusional and/or dangerously mentally ill, fact-challenged, etc..

Developers in the US are the underlying problem.. they want to be able to short-term develop a property regardless of the consequences around it because they take the money and "leave town". Couple that with the above "mah propty an I wanna put a toxik waste dump on it!!!" and yeah, its bad.

haha... "houston" refers to NASA JSC's Mission Control Center (south of Houston in Clear Lake, TX) where operations control is transferred to after launch from Kennedy Space Center's Launch Control. But yeah, "situation is fscked" somewhat describes Houston. Hell, it was built on an alligator and mosquito infested swamp and promoted via a huge scam by shady land dealers back in the 1800s -- the mosquitos and alligators are still there and Houston is "Racketeer, Screw You" town to this day Google Earth it for grins.

Sorry but the strip club near the school is just.. amusing. I know it would have made senior year a lot more interesting! Planned cities are great, so much more pleasing aesthetically and practical like Canberra which is pretty much a bunch of concentric circles and almost impossible to get lost in, except for capital circuit right in the centre that can be confusing for those not used to the circles (pity about the politicians though) compared to Sydney which is pretty much just slapped down willy nilly over time (although it's gotten better over the decades with modernisation).

Anyway, to the point!

Not interested, unless these little things can answer the ages-old question "how do I shot web?"
