Cool, thanks for the clarification. I was hoping that is was for the premere date of the second season showing.

WOW!!! what a series, full of bad assedness, and tricked out horses made up like motorcycles, I'm glad to hear a second series/season is on the way, they sure crammed in a lot of characters there at the end that had little or no screen time in the whole series though. I hope to see them in this upcoming season.

There was a commercial after today's episode of FMA confirming that the second season will be taking the Sunday 5PM timeslot after FMA ends in July.

The official site has also been updated.

Basara taking over Nichigo?! The franchise is that popular?! I am in disbelief even though I love the show and the games.

Wakamoto is kinda everywhere so I'm glad Okiayu Ryuutarou and Ishida Akira will be taking over the reins from Wakamoto and Hayami.

Also, the prospect of more Maeda screentime is something I'm looking forward to, since he was more a passenger in the original series.

Wait, Okiayu and Ishida will be in season two? Cause that would be awesome. Especially if they played villains.

And yeah Maeda was great but we saw so little of him, so looking forward to him getting more of the spotlight in S2.

From what I've seen, he shows up in the OVA quite a bit, but it seems no one will sub that unfortunately.

Okiayu will be playing Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the big bad of season 2 who uses a purely fist and grappling style. Ishida will be playing Takenaka Hanbei, Toyotomi's subordinate who uses a chainsword-thing a la Ivy from Soul Calibur. So yeah, both are on the antagonist side.

Both were shown in today's trailer after FMA Brotherhood.

As for Maeda, yeah he got some screentime in the extra episode, but it was pretty much evenly divided between him, his brother, his sister-in-law, Chousokabe (purple anchor dude), and Mouri (green ringblade dude).

Heh, Takenaka is a perfect fit for Ishida. He looks like pretty much 50% of the roles he's voiced in the past.

Ishida pretty much alternates between the meek goody-two-shoes and the sneering schemer, so yeah you're pretty much right on the money for that one.

I still can't believe that this series is going for such an expensive timeslot. With all these big-name seiyuu, Production IG keeping their old standard of animation (hopefully) this crazy timeslot, and hopefully a new Sawano score (with a bigger price tag ever since Gundam Unicorn), I really wonder what the heck is Capcom thinking as they dole out the huge bucks to get this show going.
