Do you have any particular song that you really, really want translated? I think I can spare time for one or two songs tomorrow.

Well compared to him back in the days of Aramary, the current Revo is more fun to watch.

I really love it when he and Jimang starts cracking jokes.

With Aramary gone, Revo's the 'face' of Sound Horizon now. So he'd better have some personality But for some strange reason, I get the feeling it was Jimang who made Revo come out of his shell (?_?)

BTW, I have an attempted translation of Rinne no Sunadokei here, but I've been editing it for weeks and I'm never quite happy with it. Hopefully it's not too bad...

Spoiler for Hourglass of Death and Rebirth:

Boundary Line of Azure and White

I like the smell of the ocean, the wind softly brushing my cheek.
I like the scenery I can see from here, because both the ocean and the sky are made from the same blue...

The dangling sapphire necklace...

Those were...lovely days. I remember them even now.
My Father always piggy-backed me.
How big his back seemed to me back then...

The young girl loved her father.
Her father was a brave sailor.
He was always gentle...always full of smiles.
He always told her about stories from across the ocean.
The young girl's tiny map,
was full of those stories...

I still remember my daddy.
I want to see the white whale.
I want to go to the twin islands.
I want to be swept away by the ocean breeze, to anywhere...

All the adults don't understand.
That I have a grand dream
Uncontainable in my small body.
I will definetely become a sailor.

I still remember my daddy.
I want to see the singing sea birds.
I want to go to the coral reefs.
I want to be swept away by the ocean breeze, to anywhere...

On a sunny day like this, a paper bird might even take flight.
Across that blue horizon...

A <White> that can be tainted by anything - that is me tomorrow.
<Boundaries> don't exist anywhere
Melting straight into <Blue>
To anywhere...to anyhwere...

The paper bird rides on the ocean breeze and takes flight.
To anywhere...to anywhere...

Something along the lines of that. Although 零れ落ちるまでの詩を綴る implies "The song of until they scatter", sometimes it's hard to figure out how one line connects to the other in SH lyrics.D:

Watching ACC and other stuff delayed this translation.

The Left Arm of the Thunder God

In this stormy night, his scars start hurting.
He felt a pain threatening to tear apart his right arm, a pain that shouldn't even exsist.
The man didn't confide in anyone, and was troubled over the question alone...
What should his left arm be used for...

The unfortunate signs cast deeper shadows by day and day.
The time is surely coming.
In a stormy night very much like that night, the man set out for a journey without alerting anyone.
His resolve is set, I still have my left arm...

The man gave his all in trying to seal the door.
The darkness beyond the door - a surge of evil threatens to break loose.
He tried to push them back with his left arm.
I can't keep this up anymore...if only I had my right arm...

When the man was just about to give up,
he felt through his thinning consciousness, a light radiating with warmth
Taking up spears in their right hands, thousands of people prayed in this stormy night...

The children from back then have all grown up.
The Thunder God lost his right arm and the world was reborn.
His left arm nutured the seed planted by his right.
And beautiful flowers bloomed...thousands of them...

He had a courageous left arm, and thousands of right ones.
I won't lose. Those feelings will weave history...

...and time passes...

"Hey grandpa. Why doesn't the Thunder God have a right arm? That's really sad..."

A child around the street corner asks.

Taking the child's small hand into his own, the old man smiled.

"The Thunder God's right arm is right here. See, it's right there in your right pocket..."

Stories

Hi guys, I'm new here. I really really love sound horizon revo's a genius!

Anyway, this is what I think the main stories are about:

1. Elysion (楽園幻想物語組曲) <-- not quite sure if my translation is right
About Abyss and his ill daughter El. But El dies (?) and so Abyss as the masked man travels to look for the reincarnations of his daughter (from the 彼女こそ…私のエリスなのだろうか part)

2. Roman <-- not sure if this is right either:
A collection of stories about the windmill (cycle) of life and death, with Hiver the dollmaker and his dolls Miss Violette (life, Asa) and Miss Hortense (death, Yoru) as the connecting voices between the tracks (???)

3: Seisen no Iberia
About about the rise of Christianity and the fall of Islam in the Iberian Peninsula, using Shaytan as the omnipresent figure in the story

4: Moira is too complex to write, just go to http://jpopstardust.blogspot.com/200...6th-story.html instead.

Haha none of the first three might even be correct translations. Please let me know which ones are right or not.

I know that the stories are open to whatever interpretations anyone can draw from it, but my understanding goes something like this:

Elysion:
I believe that the first track chronalogicaly is "El no Shozo", in which a young boy, caught in a snowstorm, takes shelter in an abandoned mansion, and finds a portrait of a girl named "El" or "Elise". He is captivated by the girl in the painting, and vows to find his "Elise". I believe the boy is Abyss, the man in the mask. Later, he searches the earth looking for his perfect "Elise", and discovers the ABYSS girls and how sorrowful life can be. But none of the girls fit the bill.
Meanwhile, in "Majo to Lefrentse" the adopted daughter of a witch names Lefrentse has fallen in love with "A-Harp-Playing-Lad" called Orpheous. They sleep together, after which Orpheous leaves her for another girl. Lefretse curses him, and is left alone to bear their child. I don't know if Lefretse surrvived giving birth or not, but one way or another, the sickly child ended up with Abyss. Finally he had found his "Elise".
But she was weak and frail, and he did not have the money to care for her properly. So, on top of being a thief, he took to becoming a mercenary to help support his perfect daughter. But when he finished a job for a nobleman who paid him to recover his eloped daughter and eliminate her lover in "El no Tenbin", the vengeful bride finds him and gives him a mortal wound. Dying, he drags himself home to where Elise is before dying on the floor.
But the poor child, having rarely left that house her entire life and having only been shown possitive things in life, doesn't understand that he is dead. So, whether by the disease that had been ailing her all her life or starvation in that little house in the middle of nowhere, little Elise passes away to her eternal paradise in "El no Rakuen: Side E".
Finally, in "El no Rakuen: Side A", little Elysion realizes that life is not all flowers and happiness, but an ABYSS that pulls you in to eternal misery.

A rather sad note to end the album, but in the end, I think both Elysion and Abyss' points of view where correct. Life is happiness and saddness. That was reflected in the next album, Roman.

I believe Roman is more or less about the story of a soul named Hiver Laurent who is niether living nor dead, as he tries to make out the meaning of the never ending cycle of life and death by sending his servants, the twin dolls, Violette and Hortense, into the world to find "Romans", sorys of life and death, happiness and saddness.
Each song is a stand alone story, but when all of them are put together, they form a complete picture of the lives of many people, all with the name "Laurent".

"Seisen no Iberia" I do believe is about the Holy Wars of the Spanish "Reconquista" of the Iberian penninsula, as observed by an ancient oracle and his disciples. They focus on the story of Layla, a half Spaniard, half Muslim, that is unable to choose a side in the war. Wishing no more of the conflict, she attempts to flee the country, only to be shot down by one of the watchmens arrows. Dying, she falls into a cave, where she meets Shaytan, a flame demon who was sealed away forever in the dark dungeon. In exchange for his freedom, Shaytan offers Layla "Eternity", and the chance to live. She accepts, and is transformed into an immortal. Now, shaytan pledges his alegiance to his rescuer, and offers his power to end the Iberian War. But Layla cannot decide which side to eliminate. Finally, she order Shaytan to declare war on the human race itself, forcing all of mankind to band together, leave their differences behind, and fight united against destruction.

Once again, everyone is entitled to thier own ideas and opinions.

That is the lineup for Revo's Birthday Live Show on June 26th and 27th.

It wouldn't make sense to celebrate one's birthday 1 month earlier.

You don't get a bonus track (or anything for that matter).

I felt so ripped off when I first did it. .__.

There is a loooong thread in Chronica Note (SH japanese fansite) in which they talk about how to solve the mistery of Seisen no Iberia.

The page of the mistery is: http://www.kingrecords.co.jp/soundhorizon/iberia/

The japanese thread: http://gukko.net/i0ch/test/read.cgi/Iberia/1187179924

Then, this is how they have -partially- solved the mistery:

Page1: "The Poem of Vangrancy"

There is a text telling the birth of the three gitana sisters, some stuff about layla, whose parents were killed, etc...
in the end, there's a question: "How many doors will have been open at the end of the journey?"

The answer is:
(40+3-9)×90=3060
Then you have to write 3060. (Don't ask me why, even the numbers of the formula don't have nothing to do with the text)

Page 2: "The Poem of the Flame"

In this page, there's some text and some numbers written in arabic (but transliterated to japanese)
After that, there's a question:
"Paying attention, which is the number of the door that will lead us respectfully from the vagrancy to the scratch?"

then we only have to make a multiplication:
2×3×20×9×8=8640
So you have to write 8640.

Page 3: "The Poem of the Scratch"

In this other "poem" there are two twins opening doors. Some numbers are given (the days they spent to open the doors, the number of times they had done that, etc... quite difficult to understand) and then, knowing that there are 3060 doors to open, we have to do this:

3060÷(65×8-10)=6

Page 4: "The Poem of the deep"

Here we have just a poem in which lots of comparations are used. It says:

"The blue star cried, the scarlet moon laughed.
Flowers glittered in the sky, and stars bloomed in the earth.
The voice of darkness echoed, and the flower of light trembled.
The chains and the flames screamed, the wedge and the voice rotted."

This is quite difficult to understand, but well it's just Revo's style.

Unfortunately, there's no respone to this.

Some people thought that the answer could be just writing the "Roman" numbers (the combination of 4 numbers to write characters, used in 5th Story Roman to find the true message) corresponding to: "lalalalalalalalalaralu" but it doesn't works.

That's all. The last page hasn't been solved yet, so this will remain as a mistery for the eternity.

The poem of vagrancy and its answer can be found within the webpage where you get the bonus track for Roman: http://www.kingrecords.co.jp/soundho...man2/index.php
