Alternate Universe, I think that's the best plausible alternative. AUs have a logical basis in physics, so they could very well go that route, and retell CG from a different point of view...in a better format, more quality and cohesion.

Or of course they could just go with the charles' code-cart driver theory. But I don't think that be very good story telling.

but.......but.....but I love yanderes especially male ones also Ohgi and Villeta are alright they are not my favs though and I thought Shirley was annoying ever since she said "Lulu" in episode 1 of R1, but hey everyone has different character preferences some people thinks a certain character is annoying while other don't I loved Euphie though it was sad that Suzaku didn't fulfill her last wish truly tragic indeed I wouldn't mind if they brought her back as a terminator lol jk jk....... I actually saw a drawing of that, but I can't find it anymore

Bringing back the dead, huh...Eh, I've heard of crazier things in anime, so who knows? In my opinion though, they should just let the dead rest and move on with the story. I loved Lelouch and Shirley and Euphie and all (don't hate Rolo as much as I used to either), but I think it's a bit cheap to just bring them back from the dead, just to please fans and rework the original plot. Unless it's seeing them in some ghost or something format (with CG, you never know), I don't really see it happening. I just want new Code Geass, DARNIT!

Anyway, leaving aside that topic, I've done another part of the translation of the magazine image. I have good news and bad news; bad news is that, as I thought, there's nothing really about the new project in any of the remaining text, with only a mention of "Jet Black Renya" in the bottom right purple box (nothing new there really). GOOD news is that, in that purple box, it confirms that there WILL be an anime production (for certain this time, it's apparently already in production) and that there will be more details about it in the next Newtype issue.

Well, it least we now have more than just the KnB to look forward to for new information...And I'm SOOOO happy that the new anime is really gonna happen! (PRAISE THE HEAVENS!!!)

hmm bring back characters from the dead might be an option.

or else there might be these happening

1.cloning (might be back-up if bring back the dead flop)

2.travel to a paraelle world with some different like a paraelle lulu get all the girls (yea he get c2, kallen, shirley, etc all for lelouch), world of no geass, world those who were "dead" but alive in other worlds.

3.time travel really IF that happen history will change & events will be alter (yea want that to happen to those prevent those "pains")

Umm...Maybe you minsunderstood, but I didn't say that the anime would be on Renya...Just that there would be AN anime. It didn't say what it would be about at all, but it seemed to imply that it's something different from the new manga.

I can't wait to see the direction they take the series in, if Lelouch isn't in this then this will kind of be a test to see if the series can survive without him. If he is in it, then they have to find some logical way to bring him back. If he isn't then they need a badass main character that can fill his shoes.

Rolo was responsible for killing Shirley though, who was Lelouch's hope spot for a normal life. Villetta and Ohgi basically caused the Zero Requiem, and yet got the happiest ending. Not to mention the other obstacles Villetta represented, such as using Shirley to lure out Zero and causing her much grief in the process, and being part of the security detail watching over Lelouch in early R2 because of her knowledge of Zero and Geass, which I'm surprised she never told Ohgi about.

I agree with laurcus though, this is probably to see if they can do code geass without Lelouch. I'll be laughing like a hyped up fangirl on LSD and helium if they replace Rai for Lelouch.

To me, Code Geass isn't Code Geass with monochrome colored mindfuck and really awesome characters. They better not loosen on either expectations. Though if they do make a Renya adaption... I wonder if anyone has a panel shot of that one guy?

Anyways, this will be a test for the new staff and the veterans of it. Since it's a new anime people can only hope....

I consider Kallen being part of Lelouch's story. Just like Suzaku, Nunally and everyone.

That statement was for the deceased, i'm afraid. I consider Kallen, Suzaku and Nunnally a part of his story as well. But none of them died.

Sorry if that was a tad unexplained. I meant I'd prefer to see them not bother the dead characters.

Believe me, I consider Kallen one of the most important characters to Lelouch story outside of Nunnally and Suzaku. I can agree with you, in other words.

And I said I don't wanna see Kallen anymore, if it doesn't have anything to do with Lelouch and co. I consider all of the character as dead now, aside from C.C. who will, certainly be used and used and used...till they take her in pity and give her a way to become mortal.

you contradict yourself. you say this thread is to discuss and speculate on the new project. well, what if i want to speculate that lelouch will be brought back to life/explained that he was never dead (remember Nunnally was listed as officially dead at one point)? that's speculation on the new project, but goes against the second part of your statement. saying people aren't allowed to speculate regarding lelouch is rather restrictive, and silly. why do people even freak out over this so much? what someone else thinks doesn't affect you. just let people think whatever they want.

anyway, three things:

1. "this story will lead on to the next "new geass"" to me means the new story picks up approximately where LotR left off. that's just an uncertain guess though.

2. "Eleven boys and girls./Boys and girls of Eleven." i'm sorry, i've read this entire thread, but i'm still not sure on this, i didn't understand some people's comments. could "eleven" here refer to what Britannians called the Japanese people when they were ruling over them? if so, then i would think that would be a hint that the new anime is in the time period where Britannia ruled over Japan. the ruins in the pic could also be of Japan. however, this would contradict my thoughts in item 1.

3. this is just me being hopefully (and i think someone said this before), but remember Shirley's last words? "no matter how many times i'm reborn, i'll keep falling in love with you, lulu." earlier they kept describing this project as a "rebirth" of code geass. personally i would love to see Shirley come back. she didn't deserve what happened to her and if she did somehow appear in the new anime, i would think lelouch would have to be there too (who else would she fall in love with?).

and yes, i know this is all wild speculation, but that's all there is to do until concrete details are released.
