Yeah! True! It's Tenma that is holding back Harima's character development since she's his tunnel of vision now seeing Eri moving towards Harima again means there is a development, I really want to see love triangle develop from Eri/Yakumo and Harima. Since they make School Rumble interesting and funny.

personally I'd love to see Tenma return and see that Harima has Yakumo and Eri as wives and has a few kids with them already and that the three are perfectly successful and happy. While Tenma is a miserable wreck.

that's it??? psshhh...that's would not be the perfect ending....yet. you have to add the part where Hanai and his wives (Suou, Takano, inaba, Yuki) ended up together as one big happy family. lol

Now that's a happy ending. Who's the P.I.M.P. now Harima !!!!!!!

Just finished reading 272 myself. All i have to say is Flag FTW!!! Also the translator notes that on the top of the 1st page of this chapter hints that SR will be ending soon.

maybe one more battle between Flag vs onigiri hopefully

We dunno how Onigiri would catch up to flag, but Harima did it in last few chapters with the handcuffs and walking alone at night and the sudden expression of feelings of Yakumo since Harima misunderstood her liking Karasuma, yet problem is that he misunderstood what Yakumo said that she likes him to manga.

It's really a round and round circle and sometime later it will stop I know it.

Ok then who's up for KJ's next hits Hentai Kamen or Natsu no Arashi LOL!

It's been mentioned a few times that School Rumble ending soon. But now that KJ actually mentions the manga is coming to an end I feel sad. School Rumble is the only manga I keep up with on a regular basis.

It's a nice chapter, I would say, but somewhat short for what can be considered the sorting out of the many misunderstandings between Harima and Eri (mostly Harima to Eri), but I'm not saying that this isn't possible to have your differences resolved with just a rant from the female side while the male actually listens, all thanks to his 'heartbreak'.

Nevertheless, it's a pretty nice solution. Readers can take Harima's "My eyes are open now" and interpret it differently, though the core meaning of it is essentially his misconception about her is no longer that of 'Ojou', but of 'Sawachika Eri'.

Blushing Yakumo is great, but so is blushing Eri.

If we list Flag as having the two characters being the main focus or the sole focus of the entire chapter, I'd agree. Fans (Onigiri or Flag in the chapters that focus on either) tend to get extremely excited at this things, though not for a good reason. After all that absence, it's no surprise to see some of us getting riled up. I won't say it's impossible for a Flag or Onigiri ending, though. Depends on how it progresses.

It's a pity that the apparent news that SR is going to end came about at this time. As nice as it seems for Harima to be paired off with Yakumo or Eri, I do think the most likely scenario is that he will end up "alone", or there will be a reset albeit with subtle but impactful changes.
