#denpa is looking for a dedicated translator that would handle translation on all of our future eroge karaoke projects. The tasks you'll be in charge would be song transcription, transliteration, translation, and editing. We expect quality translation work submitted in reasonable time frames.

#denpa @ irc.synirc.net is a heavily denpa-infested IRC community currently consisting of anime and eroge fans, game hackers, and fansubbers. Drop by anytime you want and see if you want to help out or just lurk around.

Not so urgent, but would help: Encoders & Translators
Positions that would help too: Distro, editors, QC.

Projects: Soul Eater, Major(Timers needed most), Young GTO.

None of the above projects need translations.

Soul Eater needs a backup Editor
Major needs plenty of timers and backup typesetters and backup Editors.
Young GTO needs backup timer.

Must provide samples if you're applying for; Typesetting, Timing, Karaoke, Editing and QC.
Translation and encoding, you will be assessed by one of our current staff and they will decide whether to recruit you or not.

Our requirements are pretty low, mostly because we're desperate for help before this fall. If you wanna be our translator, you only have to be fluent in Japanese, and good at English. If you're aspiring to be our timer, you only need to know how to use Aegisub quickly and efficiently, and be able to start as soon as the first RAW becomes available. For karaoke, you only need experience and a good sense of style. To be a RAW Provider, you must live in Japan, and be able to provide a close to perfect encode of the show less than 2 hours after it airs.

And before someone says "Oh but that's licensed." I checked the License Database, Kurogane no Linebarrel isn't in it, nor is it in the topic on the forum here for Anime recently licensed. So it could still be a taboo project, but technically it's not licensed.

Our usual translation checker has been swamped with RL stuff and we need to clear out a backlog. Must have a good knowledge of Japanese, good enough to identify mistakes and fill missing lines.

We're also looking for a new translator for something this fall even though it's nearly a 100% possibility that we won't find one. Series of interest include Tytania, Shikabane Hime, and Ride Back.
