Afaik the strategist is usually a member of the team (Chauster for CLG NA, Krepo for CLG EU and Diamond for M5, or so say their bios in the tourney page). Damn, 14 hours sure is a pickle, I usually shut down after 3 hours tops.

Worked against M5 early but mid-game onwards, Alex Ich was rather deadly on Eve. Gosu as Zyra...that was intriguing.
Getting really confused with the Cassiopeia spam this tournament...whatever happened to Gragas and Orianna...

Wow, that was pretty cool. Did you see how Gozu tripped the seeds to signal Kevin to initiate? The second Zittai looked away, Alex just snuck from behind, guns blazing...could have picked off Shen for a laser tap too. Really awesome game, kudos to IG for actually straining Kevin early on, but Diamond just saw through it all :O
Looking forward to game 2, gonna be epic! |

AP Zilean is often underestimated, his greatest disadvantage is his mana sustain. If Alex can bait in some double bombs at the right time, it's going to be devastating.
And that's a double surrender, really strong games from M5 despite losing terribly early on. Really good play by Darien, he managed to tank well although he gave up first blood and lost his lane, once again gg to Alex on Zilean, just amazing coordination among the team. Alex's Zilean was rather good, but Darien's Olaf was even more decisive. A fair few other Olafs appeared this tourney and all got pasted. Darien however, did it damn well.
Invictus put up good resistance. They were better in the start in both games. But M5 are just masters at teamfights. Do bans even matter against M5 now? Their champ pools are pretty deep now. Match 1 pretty much killed off the theory banning Sona and Nunu prevents Gosu from being at his best in support. Denying Alex Ryze and Gragas didn't work. SK's theory of focusing Diamond in Cologne didn't have any effect. Banning anything on Genja would hinder the team that did this since a lot fo teams versing them have low depth at the AD position. And Darien...forget it. Maybe ban the three that threatens the synergy of your own team, maybe?

IG's vlad really underestimated Zilean during those midgame fights midlane, and I think he finished 8/1/10 or so... I guess it worked, and he managed to distract Shen away during their baron.

Next match Taipei Assassin VS Najin Sword.
This match up will be a very fun match up. I'm so excited how MaKNooN will do if I have to be Honest. In the group stage / Play off he totally Dominated.

So many hooks on poor MakNoon...last one was totally random too. Huge gold difference with a total of 150 minions advantage for TPA, NJ just lost map control after the second mid TF. Very excited to see TPA against M5 tomorrow! Gonna sleep now, missing CLG EU again =/
Azubu Frost is probably going 2-1 on TSM, back in 8h |
