Yeah, by name Gainax made Gurren Lagann of course. But the core staff behind it works a lot for Gonzo and does a lot of one-shot anime episodes for others. They did Rosario + Vampire, Hayate no Gotoku, many Gonzo anime including Tower of Druaga, Naruto and even some Precure episodes. They're quite a busy lot. When they work for other companies like that, they go by Gonzo and typically put a weird stamp like the "GOMZO" we saw in the latest Zettai Karen episode.

Well... at least they have pants on. Can't say I'm a fan of the new animation style though. Hopefully they'll tone it down a bit. That flailing camera was just... ugh....

I wouldn't worry about the censorship now that they have GOMZO helping them out

Suddenly we have traded the cutesy "childish" image of ZKC for a more angst, and dark filled future? What the heck? Ignoring the fact that the new OP is nothing what the show "represents"...the ED seems to be turning this into some kind of Bleach, bishie fest?



I am all up for a change of image but this is just too fast...they really need to pace themselves and let the serious events build up first before dumping you right into the thick of it.

The animation is also another think I need to say that was bad...it was pretty bad...maybe the sketch type stuff did work for GL but it doesn't work here. I can see myself either getting used to it or hating it completely.

Though the story for this episode was still interesting, all the rest was quite a mess in the change over. GOMZO lol

And it just hit me...because we get so many shots of the grown up children in the OP, I'm wondering if the predicted future will come sooner than expected. Because if Kyousuke can haxx freeze his own growth, maybe he could speed up the growth of others...I can see the children turning into 18 year old beauties in an instant if they ever decide to join PANDRA (and it probably explains why Minamoto didn't look any other in the flashforward).

But I'm really looking forward to see the new female Kyousuke clone at work...she is 1) hot and 2) Yukana! <3

Maybe it is my bad choice of word but what I mean is that such a serious image change (that includes the OP despair and ED bishie attack) should be used when the events within the series take a darker turn. Right now, it is still too "light" and fluffy for something so sudden to happen.

The manga was like that as well.... light hearted arc suddenly followed by a darker arc. Though the ED does imply that the anime is going to take a turn at darker arcs ie Bloody Kyosuke and Minamoto in the rain.

Right. Maybe next time please give us people a timeline. Putting "Encoding" somewhat implies it'll be soon, very soon, though you guys may be caught up on certain things.
