That's about 3 minutes longer than the average new series... multiply that by the 50ish episodes and it's like what? 5 more episodes?
Nippon Animation's World Masterpiece Theater series was shown on FujiTV's "educational hour" on Sundays at 7:30PM.

The shows are long because they were able to cut off the commerical times to squeeze in more animation time. This is only possible because of the grants given to Nippon Animation by the sponsors.

Who were the sponsors? Major multi-billion dollar Japanese corporations such as:

Calpis
Kaoh
Ajinomoto
House Foods
NTT
Columbia Music Japan
Warner Music Japan

Grants given by them created the World Masterpiece Theater Foundation.

Ahhh... that explains it...

Not that I'm complaining... longer episodes is always a good thing ^_^

You can also get the Taiwanese version with Chinese/Japanese audio and English/Chinese subtitles if you dont mind some minor translation errors.

Thanks!

That *is* a long time since the last release indeed. I'm glad I only started watching it this month. Still, I'll be up to episode 8 soon and pining for new releases!

Just wanted to say thank you to Live_eviL for the great job you're doing.

WOW !

Domo!!! A special Christmas Eve release! What a sweet present!

Keep up the subbing, as I'm always hungry for another episode. Every time I watch one I feel I've watched a full length movie

Unfortunately, while I don't think this series is licensed (there's no disclaimer) AnimeSuki does not seem to have a listing or torrent for this series. I can't seem to access new web sites at the moment so I am unable to check if TechnoGirl's is still active.

Would you know if there is a batch torrent of their releases?

That said, there are 3 others fully subbed in English now so... makes 4? =)
