I seem to remember seeing a deleted DVD extra or scene from SHnY episode 5... Mikuru fell out of her chair and Koizumi helped her up. O_O" Can someone get sceencaps or something, so I can confirm this? I remember seeing it somewhere.

The first few episodes on the DVD have scenes that were cut from the novels for broadcast, mostly for time reasons.

(Now if only they'd give us Drunk Haruhi from the original Remote Island Syndrome... but no...)

There's also an extended version of Kyon's monologue at the end of Mysterique Sign that's pretty creepy, again from the novels.

Actually you have it backwards. The scenes on the DVD were fixed from mistakes in the TV broadcast, or entire new scenes like that Mikuru one. Nothing was cut for the broadcast because it wasn't made yet.

Heh, what I meant was that they hadn't animated the novel scenes, but yeah.
