Koko is loco indeed.

I confess that I've found myself obsessively watching the next episode preview just for this song. I assume this is a snippet of a longer song so I'm looking forward to the OST so I can hear the rest of it; it's probably the catchiest next episode preview song I've heard since Manabi Straight's.

I haven't read the manga so I'm going into this series mostly blind; I wonder if there's something plot or character-relevant about Koko's sleepwalking. It strikes me as a strange thing to include in what is shaping up to be a mostly serious action series if it's just a one-off joke.

I checked the lettering used on Voshkod 6 and it's Russian. I don't think IMO the Czech and the Polish government mandate Russian as a recognized language. Could be Ukraine, Moldova or Belarus since they use Russian as a language and they use Western small arms and military equipment.

First episode was awesome. I already like Jonah, Koko and obsessive eyepatch girl.
As expected from White Fox, the studio of Steins;Gate, the animation is top notch. Can't wait to the next episode.

Jonah is obviously Eurasian... hinted that he's Afghani,Chechnyan,Kurdish,or someone from some unspecified Slavic or Turkic group.

How old is Jonah? 14 or 15? He's been capping dudes since he was much younger and since he's reached his teens, it seems like he was really good at it. He has some sort of notoriety and reputation... someone noticed him enough to compile a file about his exploits, since Koko claims to have read stuff about him.

He's sort of like Soran Ismael in Gundam 00. Where is Ali A-sarchez... the guy who trained him?

Koko is sort of like Balalaika minus the combat experience. According to wikipedia she's the daughter of a super villain... figures.

Jonah.... Soran Ismael, Leon, Jason Bourne mixed into a 14 year old super assassin.

Is this one of those stories where the stoic, not-so-book smart super assassin gets emotionally invested in the people around him?

Yeah, totally agree.

No, this I can assure you.
But the story does dig into his past a little and if the anime gets there, the story will be resolved in his perspective.... which I doubt is going to happen.
This is only 12 episodes right? Unless they can digest a volume of content per episode, which is impossible. They'll not be able to properly present the plot.

There will be a second 12 episode season released later this year. I haven't read the manga so I don't know if that will be enough to cover what you're referring to, but basically the series will be 24 episodes.

Is it me or has everyone in this anime perfected the Gin Ichimaru grin?

From the looks of it all 24 episodes should cover all 11 volumes of the manga. Episode 1 covered chapters 1 and 2, while episode 2's preview will cover chapter 3 and the end of volume 1.

The opening showed scenes from future volumes so it looks like up to volume 4 minimum maybe into or all the way to volume 5.

I really hope they do up to volume 6 when this season ends because the Valmet battle in that volume was so bad ass.

There's too many 'Loco" in this anime... Koko is just spreading it like "crazy"....

BTW... I been wondering...

How come there's no one complaining about what's happening at all?

I mean... free for all shootings, missile launching, dead people and blood everywhere...

Someone must have saw something?... yet... no one is saying anything... LOL

It's like these Arms Dealers all have "License to Kill"... where no matter who they kill, they can just kept on killing none stop, LOL...

An example in episode one...
Spoiler for .:

Since it involved the country's special force, the whole thing would probably be covered up.
I'm looking forward to seeing Chinatsu in ep 3
Spoiler for Chinatsu:

Ow good , this season got 2 Gunfight anime , one hilarious & this one more serious.
I had some Phantom's vibes here. Like Jonah = Zwei , Koko = the blond girl

Another great episode. Koko is the shit! I can't get over how hilarious the expressions are in this show either. Those rape faces are top notch.

I laughed when she sold those guys up the river to save her own team. Koko is just a great character and she seemingly shrugs off any situation with a laugh.

Got some word on the other characters being voiced. Don't know if I oughta hide them in spoils:

Masaya Matsukaze: Kaspar Hektmatyer
Yumi Toma: Chiquita
Saori Kato: Karen Lo
Tsuyoshi Koyama (Taking over from Hisao Egawa's Drama CD role): Shishio
Akemi Kanda (Taking over from Ai Shimizu's Drama CD role): Chinatsu
